  1. Retro Gaming Gear specials at ThinkGeek Such as this bar of Dirt Fighter II soap: (I'm lookin' at the Level-Up Pipe Mug, the 8-bit Tie, and maybe even the Space Invaders Fleece Blanket! )
  2. Samsung's very, very wide 32:9 aspect ratio monitor, and this one's only 49"! (I have a 4:3 one, ). Here's a wimpier one : BTW, the Link above takes you to a page at TFT Central; they only review/test monitors. They appear to be extremely thorough. Damn, there are armies of monitors out there! This site may be my 'go-to' Site when I eventually upgrade my puny one. P.S. Since I post a fair amount of hardware related stuff, I thought I'd start putting all my hardware-type posts in here, so they're all in one place (instead of randomly peppered throughout the Monkey forum). The urge to do this is probably related to my OCD Cable Management disorder.
  3. gradientpixel said Have you played any of the Broken Sword series? No, but I watched the Trailer for the 5th one, and it looks interesting. It appears there's quite a story to go along with the game-play. And I, for one, don't mind cartoon-style animation. I really like most Hayao Miyazaki films (Spirited Away, Ponyo, The Secret World of Arrietty, etc.), so 'cartoonish' games are fine with me. Does this series have an over-abundance of, "Crap, I gotta look at the 'walk-through' again", or are many puzzles actually solvable by someone much less sleuth-skilled then Sherlock Holmes? Some of the challenges in these puzzle-type games are insanely difficult, for me, anyway.
  4. World's Fastest Rubik's Cube Solving Robot
  5. Caution, don't let young minors click on this Link! Seriously! Yup, we all saw this cumming. Sooner instead of later, it would appear.
  6. Perhaps this will help accelerate VR Gaming Development. It can be helpful to have heavy-hitters such as Samsung sinkin' some serious cash (hopefully) into the development of new technologies, I would think.
  7. Crap, I wanted to put this under the 'Freeware' Thread... Arg! Not enough coffee yet, perhaps.
  8. Games aren't just to keep the kids (or yourself ) 'busy', anymore. Smarter Serious Games Virtual Worlds; Real Leaders
  9. Electric Sheep While it's running, you can hit an Up or Down Arrow, and that will let the program know if you like or dislike (respectively) that particular one. If ya don't, it won't continue to 'pursue' that path of morphing, but will transition to something different. Click here for a more detailed explanation of how Electric Sheep works.
  10. This is Cool! P.S. DeepMind is hiring: If you are an exceptional machine learning researcher, computational neuroscientist, or software engineer, and want to be part of a world‑class team working on the most exciting ground‑breaking technology in an inspiring and collaborative environment then please get in touch. A "computational neuroscientist"? What the Hell? Jason?, Brad?, help me out here.
  11. Hyper Light Drifter Quote off Website: Hyper Light Drifter is a 2D Action RPG in the vein of the best 8-bit and 16-bit classics, with modernized mechanics and designs on a much grander scale.
  12. ADR1FT will be a featured launch title for the Oculus Rift Virtual Reality headset, with a simultaneous PC release via Steam in Q1 of 2016. ADR1FT is an immersive First Person Experience (FPX) that tells the story of an astronaut in peril. Floating silently amongst the wreckage of a destroyed space station with no memory and a severely damaged EVA suit slowly leaking oxygen, the only survivor struggles to determine the cause of the catastrophic event that took the lives of everyone on board.
  13. SentaiBrad said That's because it's made by Keiji Inafune, MegaMan's creator. That would explain it.
  14. Ah, finally got my tickets (electronically) to see Bill Burr in Denver, so now I can step away from the computer for a while.
  15. Battleborn I think this game looks cool, at least visually.
  16. Far Cry Primal No high-tech weaponry in this one!
  17. Mighty No. 9
  18. Yooka-Laylee Website Video on YouTube
  19. Obduction
  20. If you like more basic animation in a game, this one could be good for ya, I think. Banner Saga
  21. This Park Ranger out in the middle of nowhere, has to go investigate some fireworks. He eventually (while in radio communication with his female coworker) comes upon two drunk teenage girls 'bathing' in a lake. Anyway, perhaps more interesting than I thought. Check it out here.
  22. The Witness (It reminds me of Myst. It's probably insanely difficult, but I like the look of it).
  23. Yah, this is rough for anal, cable-management weirdos, such as myself.
  24. What??? I had (or so I thought), "A game based on 1930's animation!" in the Subject. If anyone out there knows how to correct a typo'd Subject, please enlighten me.
  25. Cuphead in "Don't Deal with the Devil" If ya go to the Site, be sure to scroll down and watch the Video. I thought it was fantastic, but I was weaned on cartoons such as Popeye. Popeye was an Old School MMA fighter, I think. He would eat canned spinach and then go medieval on this bully named Bluto, his never-ending nemesis. But, I digress. Anyway, I have to try this game!
