  1. Yes, it's an A/V Receiver, the potential center of your Home Entertainment System. I piped all my other Home Entertainment components through it, including my Game Consoles.
  2. I'd suggest putting it on its side/edge for a while, too. When it's completely upside-down, liquid will often pool on the under-side of the individual keyboard keys due to the shape of their under-sides. I confess I don't know if this is true for a Laptop , but for a regular Desktop PC keyboard, I believe it to be valid.
  3. Perhaps anyone could raffle-off anything in the future, but I'm gonna start-off with my Denon AVR-4310CI Receiver - original packing materials and Owner's Manual are included, and it's in very good condition. If enough tickets were sold (wouldn't need to be too many if the ticket price is reasonable), some of those proceeds could pay for the shipping of it, with the remainder going to LaunchBox development! Click here for an overview of the receiver. [sp_show_poll id="5"]
  4. These devices are External Processing Adapters to increase Graphical Horsepower to VR Capable Levels. Lawnmower Man, almost? To an ol' codger such as myself, the technological advancements in Gaming are approaching Science Fiction! Anyone remember Pong? Look what we have now! And since computing-type technology seems to have this exponential growth thing going all the time, I can't imagine what it'll be like in another 35 years (1980: Atari's Space Invaders). It's unlikely I'll be around in another 35 years, but if I can last another 10 (in good health), I'm sure I'll be satisfied with the level of gaming sophistication. Nintendo has filed a patent for its device. Here's the Sony:
  5. Cadet Stimpy said Although I've also been loyal to AMD, if they don't step-up their game soon, I may have to defect to Intel. Whoa, it looks as if AMD is stepping-up their game, so I might not have to defect to Intel after-all! Zen Chip
  6. I finally wised-up and got one of these, since I purchase so much stuff from Amazon (my younger daughter gets almost all her stuff from Amazon - even toilet paper (she doesn't like going to the store ). [Also, I use Amazon Smile - Amazon matches 0.5% of your purchases to the charity of your choice (I'm currently donating to the World Wildlife Fund)]. Anyway, here's a little screen-shot of their blurb for the card (Amazon Smile is a separate thing): ************************************************************************
  7. Do you ever ask yourself, "Why can't things ever be simple?" I ask myself that weekly, at least, I'd say.
  8. If you're interested in this game, check-out this video. In the video, IGN interviews the semi-gamer-famous Tim Schafer (Full Throttle, Grim Fandango, Psychonauts, Brütal Legend, Broken Age, and co-designer of The Secret of Monkey Island, Monkey Island 2: LeChuck's Revenge, and DOTT, of course), and founder of Double Fine Productions, about the game. It covers the new aspects of the game and shows some of the contrast between it and the original. Anyway, you may find it interesting.
  9. I've been a fan of Mark Neale's films' since I first saw Faster over 10 years ago. His latest film, Hitting the Apex, looks awesome! If you enjoy motorsports at all, watch this Trailer (some crazy crashes, too)! It's only 2 minutes long, but 2 minutes of adrenaline-rich insanity! I love this stuff!
  10. Damn it, DOS, now I want a new system! I love the Mobo you selected. I've been an Asus fanboy for a while, and that board looks sweet! I'm still runnin' this: Although I've also been loyal to AMD, if they don't step-up their game soon, I may have to defect to Intel.
  11. Yes, indeed. A good bit of humor included, too.
  12. I went out for a spin on my scooter yesterday (might have been the last one till Spring). Not so today! You were on a Veranda for brunch today??? You're killin' me, Dawg! The place sounds quite pleasant and engaging. I like trains, myself. Bees in the middle of December? Well, despite their sometimes annoying tendencies, it's nice they were out. Yah, I hate rich people, too, but only because I'm not one of 'em!
  13. DOS76 said I'm going to install Arkham Knight on there tonight and see how it looks I have it running on my i7 with GeForce GTX 960 and it looks amazing! Play that and then launch an Atari game and be totally blown away by how far this thing called gaming has progressed in my lifetime Sounds as if you're gonna have a fun evening, DOS! The 'Flash-Back' to Old School graphics should be an eye-opening reminder of technological advancements.
  14. I gotta buy this on nostalgia principles alone! DOTT Remastered
  15. Jason Carr said Now THAT I can afford! ... Hey, Jason, I don't suppose you're feeling generous enough to buy me one, too, since you can afford 'em? Christmas spirit, cheer, and all that... (I want a different color, though). I'll send you a Gift Certificate to Taco Bell (or an equal, quality establishment of exquisite cuisine), in exchange, of course. Such as something like this (currently available at Chili's, BTW)! I might go soon, myself! [Ah, crap. I'm goin' out to dinner (if bar-food at a Brewery counts as that) and a small play this evening, and it's snowin' quite a bit.]
  16. There are many others available on Amazon (search for 'Concealable Entertainment Flask'), but here's a few: (It's not readily apparent on the Drunk Hunt cartridge, but you can see the 'stopper' more easily on the other two). Ah, the holidays...
  17. Maybe you could replace it with this. They sell 'em on Amazon for $130.
  18. You can actually play on these things!
  19. This one resembles a crash helmet (obviously) and is only about $53,000.
  20. Jason Carr said Me neither till I started watching way too many Retroware / Game Sack / Game Chasers / Flea Market Madness videos on YouTube. I've been ruined. Yah, but think of the cool museum you'll have after you buy all this stuff!
  21. You had/have this? Tricky. There's so much hardware out there I've never even heard of, including this.
  22. They can both be used as actual controllers (the 2nd one with the glass removed)! I wish the wooden one had more robust legs, though. In the first picture, what are they plugged into? Is it a UK or Japanese NES (Famicon), or what?
  23. Ah, because it's outrageous, like all the other stuff I post in this Forum.
