  1. Yah, once again, the edge of ‘reality or fiction’ is blurred a little more. It makes me wonder how much longer over-paid Hollywood actors will survive… Eventually, they will no longer be needed. Sure, they'll be around for voices in CGI movies for marketing purposes, but that will pass eventually, I suspect. Check this out (and it's over 4 years old!).
  2. Good ol' How-To Geek has plenty of Windows 10 tips, tricks, and articles. Click here for Page 1 of numerous pages of Windows 10 stuff. Oddly, a few articles in the above Link don't relate to Windows 10 directly, but, they still may be useful. P.S. This Website has bailed me out of some Windows 'oddities' in the past. Well, I usually refer to them as inexplicable Microsoft anomalies.
  3. Are some of your USB devices taking too long to charge? Low amperage leaving your charging device may be the culprit. The PowerJive gizmo can let you know definitively if that's your issue, among other capabilities. PowerJive
  4. Click here for a list of LEGO games by System. And as you can see (if you go there), each game title is a Link to detailed info for that game. The recent ones look fairly cool, IMHO.
  5. I think the idea has a lot of potential, Garbanzo. Good one.
  6. Click here for a short Trailer. Game's Website P.S. Available on PC and PS4 in one week (22 Sep).
  7. There are numerous articles about this, but I somewhat randomly picked this one. I searched for "tetris can reduce cravings", and got about 75,000 hits on Google...
  8. I always liked the original RollerCoaster Tycoon. RollerCoaster Tycoon World (to be released in Q4) looks impressive. Click here for a short video.
  9. There’s a lot of cool things to see at the microscopic level. Olympus BioScapes I think I’ll use some of them as Wallpaper. Some of the critters would make great monsters in a game (if they were much larger, of course ).
  10. Here's a decent explanation of HDR from Martyn Williams (and some other dude) at the eye-popping IFA 2105. Amazon is already providing a couple of its in-house productions in HDR. Netflix has said that it plans to launch HDR video too, and it's supported in the 4K Blu-ray Disc format.
  11. I think EPIC 2 is currently only an Android App (the original EPIC is available on additional platforms), but it's coming to the Xbox One in 2 days (11 Sep). Draw a Stickman 2
  12. Well, the LG 105UC9 is a contender, and it's less than $100,000 (by 1 cent!) - Yes, this TV's MSRP is $99,999.99! But, it is in the 105" Class.
  13. Dr. Nandhu Nandhakumar, Senior Vice President of the LG Technology Center of America, speaks about it in a brief video, and there's an article, too. Click here for them both. P.S. FWIW, here's the 'UHD Roadmap':
  14. Ya have to 'jump through a few hoops', but here are the Free-to-Play games from Nexon. Click here for a few videos of this upcoming game, LawBreakers.
  15. Jason Carr said Holy crap...ugh. I do love skiing though. Colorado skiing in 60 degree weather...now that's pretty ideal. ;) Yah, the skiing here is nice with the powdery snow, unlike the wet, icy crap in New England. But if you're a decent skier in New England, you're bad-ass in Colorado.
  16. Oh, and I rode some cool rides, too. Much to my dismay, cameras weren't allowed on any of the 'thrill rides' (GoPro's on a helmet probably woulda been fine ). I rode the Alpine Coaster all the way down without ever applying the brakes. I asked if it could be done, before I rode it, and they assured me each car was attached securely to the track, so there was no real danger in doing so (and it brakes to a stop at the end, automatically, of course). It felt as if I was pullin' a couple of G's in a few of the turns, though. The Giant Swing pictured below was awesome. When your in that position, as it swings out over the cliff it's sittin' on, the ground (and the Colorado River) is over 1/4 mile below you, so you're 'way up there' - with an incredible view (and a floating stomach)! Glenwood Caverns Adventure Park
  17. Steam Machines I don't really know much about them. What benefits do they offer over a PC?
  18. Yah. For me, the older I get, the more I want comfy weather. I don't miss the New England snow much. It was usually moist/wet, and therefore quite heavy, as snow goes. I suspect that over the years, I shoveled literally tons of snow. Here's some crappy weather: On the peak of Mt. Washington (New Hampshire), wind speeds have exceeded 230mph, and temps have been under -40F. Click here (don't forget to switch to HD, if necessary) for an interesting and well-done video about the Weather Station on the top of that mountain. P.S. If you can throw a cup of boiling water into the air, and it instantly turns to ice crystals, it's friggin' cold.
  19. It's got a wire, but it's nice lookin' (IMHO).
  20. The graphics in this game are quite impressive! Click here to see for yourself. Be sure to 'Pause' right away and switch to 1080p HD (if necessary), then resume. Unfortunately, it's not due out till next Summer.
  21. Thanks, Jason. I like to think I can take a good photo. If I bothered to learn all the stuff my camera can do, maybe I could. Illinois and Ohio? (Corn, Crime, and Tires) Bummer! I'll definitely take your advice and never live in either of those places. I've lived in different states, and from what I know, Alaska, California, Oregon (my home state), Hawaii, and Colorado have some great majestic terrain/scenery. Every state has its wonderful places, of course. I lived in New Hampshire for 2+ decades, and it had plenty of beautiful places. When I was much younger, I didn't reflect on natures' beauty as much as I do now. An oldster thing, I guess...
  22. Well, I have "Blast!" in my Internet 'Bundle'. My bill doesn't reflect the break-down of the Blast! cost (WTF?), but my Comcast bill (TV and Internet only - no phone (I use MagicJack)) is under $94/mo. I'm on a 'Promo Deal', so my bill will be going up eventually, but not by a crazy amount (I think it will be $20-$30 more/month when the 'promo' runs out). But since I'm getting awesome download speeds, I'll probably continue to pay it.
  23. I live in Colorado now. As many of you know, marijuana has been legalized here. Here are a few 'on topic' publications/directories: A-G listing in one of the directories: Without a doubt, this has caused a large influx of new Colorado residents.
