  1. Got it working had to change controller settings for both the 270 and 90 degrees games to be opposite of each other for 270 games right is up, left is down, down is right and up is left 90's are the reverse of that so basically I spent a few hours working on this and I'll probably never play the games anyway but they do work and they look better in RA than they ever did in Handy. Brad in my original post when I mentioned lower end hardware and said nothing more than 16bit I wasn't referring to Windows I was talking about emulating systems that aren't higher than that. I'm actually going to try to use RA on a Windows tablet with a 64 bit Atom running 32 bit windows. I never even owned a 16 bit PC.
  2. I already fixed by adjusting the Aspect Ratio Index to custom and changing Custom Viewport Width and Height. I have it displaying properly I just have to custom config the controls for both the 90 degree and 270 degree cfg's that I made. I haven't messed with any controller settings yet. If I run into a snag I'll be sure to ask more questions.
  3. If I go outside of LaunchBox and load the config RA displays properly on the vertical monitor but when I load the game either through RA or LB it displays wrong. I know that Windows at least in the sense of display setting in control panel and in the new settins see the monitor as being in vertical with a 1080x1920 resolution. It may be a core issue and not a RA issue because like I said the menu all displays normally.
  4. Moved to a different computer to set up number two but have a new snag when changing it to my vertical monitor it displays in vertical but the game launches turned on its side still so then if I go and rotate it it only displays in horizontal on a vertical monitor figured out how to fix this by setting the Aspect Ratio Index to custom and changing Custom Viewport Width and Height. Only problem with that is now up and down are left and right and left and right are up and down so now I have to work on that.
  5. I got it if the heading of a vertical game is on the left of your screen then you have to rotate the screen 180 not 90.
  6. Yeah I was thinking that myself yesterday and wanting LaunchBox to have volume control for how loud the videos play. If you start the feature request link it here and I'll go vote for it.
  7. Yeah I figured out the quick mode part and found the main config file and changed the rotation back to normal. I'm having a tough time though getting it to work. I'm going to give it a few more tries and then I'm going to copy my install and just create different instances with different settings if need be.
  8. I messed everything up somehow now my screen is flipped when I open video to change the rotation is is already set to normal but displaying in vertical for all games games rotated 270 are horizontal but upside down and 90 vertical games are displayed correctly and that is after deleting the config command and deleting the config file all together. Also when I use FN+F1 sometime I get the resume content screen but most of the time I get the regular start up screen and if I make any changes I can't just go back into the game. Actually all of my emulators are displaying with the wrong rotation now despite the rotation saying normal.
  9. I used -C "handy_libretro.cfg" as the command but it doesn't work is that command proper I get the handy_libretro.cfg straight from the config folder?
  10. Ok I've never set one up individually before. Thanks for all the help with this Brad
  11. This is weird when you go into the edit form all of the command line text boxes are greyed out and you can't enter anything in them.
  12. Yeah I will actually need to make multiple configs since Lynx has games that rotate 90 degrees and some that rotate 270 degrees so I can name the configs anything like one name Lynx90 and the other Lynx270 and then just add them to the command line of the individual game
  13. So I will add that config to only the vertical games and use the regular settings for the horizontal games?
  14. Help me Obi-Wan Kenobi your my only hope.
  15. How do I make pergame configs. RetroArch is really starting to grow on me. I shines when it comes to the more obscure handheld outperforming the standalones by far with RA's video settings since last night I've converted Lynx, Wonderswan, NeoGeo Pocket and Virtual Boy and none of these systems have ever looked so good on my PC.
  16. 1) When using RA to emulate Wonderswan and Lynx how do you get vertical games to rotate? 2) When using a computer with multiple monitors how can I get Wonderswan and Lynx vertical games to display on my vertical monitor. 3) How will RetroArch run on lower end hardware probably nothing past 16bit maybe an attempt at N64. I want to replace some of my standalone emulators on my handheld tablet setup. 4) Does RetroArch work with touch of will I need a controller or keyboard connected to my tablet to configure it. Edit: I figured out how to rotate the screen but now I have to figure out how to set a pergame config for any vertical games so number one is partially answered.
  17. I'm starting to like RA more and more its Handy and Virtual Boy cores are far superior to Handy and VBJiin which I've been using and its PCE core for CD games is so nice after struggling to use TurboEngine (which runs great but has video settings issues). I'm still using MagicEngine for the regular games but RA has won me over on the CD side of things. I'm going to try the NeoGeo Pocket next because NeoPop doesn't render how i like and I'm seeing RA handle handhelds pretty well so far.
  18. That's so random and crazy isn't emulation fun.
  19. @lordmonkus when I first tested this earlier I had that issue myself I downloaded my core in 1.3.2 but my emulator was pointing to my previous build which didn't have the gambatte core downloaded. I figured it out pretty quickly but that could definitely cause issues.
  20. At the top of the page there is a link that says feature request now you can click either that or the report issue link I think they both take you to the BitBucket page.
  21. I seriously don't know why it isn't working all your settings are correct, if you see open RA then the rom is linked to the emulator and it is launching outside of LaunchBox so we know that your core and your rom are working. You could try getting the beta builds of LaunchBox by going into tools, clicking on opitons, then selecting updates and checking the beta checkbox but I don't see that as fixing the problem. I'm using the latest beta of LB, RA 1.3.2 with the gambatte core and everything is working fine for. Sorry I can't help I just don't see what else you could advise you to do.
  22. when you right click on one of the games does it give you the option to open RA
  23. Everything looks right to me. What does it do when you try to launch it nothing? Which version of LaunchBox are you using and what version of RetroArch?
