All fixed thank you very much that is quick work. I wonder why it wasn't freezing the old version of Demul I made sure I tested both earlier in order to know who to blame and it turns out I was wrong anyway now my faith in the scientific method is shaken.

@Maddoc1007 any chance you might know what could be substituted for -run=naomi or -run=awave for the hikaru and gaelco systems I tried to just change that line of code to -run=hikaru -rom-%string% but it throws an error I'm curious as to what it likes to be called it only supports 5 roms and I have 4 that work only NASCAR doesn't . I don't have any of the cave games not even the BIOS for the system or at least as far as I know personally I never even heard of it. Can't find the working NASCAR rom anywhere (and they say Google is your friend) Well I don't need any help with the scripts have both systems launching but not in fullscreen even though the check box is checked also you can't use the DX11ng version with Gaelco hopefully they will be working on it. Demul is pretty damn good I'm actually thinking about doing a bulk edit away from NullDC at least on this computer seems NullDC requires less of a hardware demand. Smash Driving has no sound in Gaelco and Planet Harrier has no sound in Hikaru. Now I just need the last ROM as this version reports that they have it running.

I just finished reading this review while I was looking for a solution to one of my DC games throwing an error about the game not supporting the current AV cable I was using (Demul was set to VGA mode). The review has some good info on how to handle the video settings that I found to be informative so I figured I'd post the link in case it would end up assisting some body else. Demul plays like a champ on my bedroom setup (i7 4770k 16GB RAM GTX750TI) but in my kitchen setup (i5 3330 8GB RAM and on board graphics) it stutters like crazy after reading this I am hopeful that I may be able to get it running at a good speed.

Mine isn't set as my default emulator it is basically just for WinCE games that don't work in NullDC.
-
I don't believe that it is but I am not actually sure. I do know this if you have WinRAR you can select all files (will take forever) or 10 or 20 at a time and choose to extract each file to a separate folders then when that is complete go to the search bar in Windows/File Explorer search for .cue and drag them all into LaunchBox.

Ok yesterday I grabbed a new version of Demul and it has been mostly a good experience. So far I've managed to get 3 or 4 WinCE games that didn't work previously in Demul to work in the latest version. I have noticed though that when using it with Dreamcast that when you hit escape it closes Demul but that causes LaunchBox freeze and never recover. I tested it again with the old version and that version doesn't cause any issues with LaunchBox just the new version. To prevent this from happening I went into the AHK Script for the emulator and removed the code which is fine until you close LaunchBox then when reopening it the code is back. How can I permanently remove the script so it doesn't come back? When I exit out of Demul using the new built in Alt+F4 method it has no effect on LaunchBox and that is what I am looking for. I know I could just remember to not hit escape and the issue won't arise but I keep hitting it anyway (auto-pilot is initialized). Edit: Actually even though the script is removed when I opened the next game without closing LB and hit escape the game closed and LB froze. How about a check box in the ahk script section to disable the feature for any specific emulator.

@eric have you gone into tools\options\Input\Gamepad/Joystick and enabled the gamepad /joystick input? There is also an additional check box that allows you to use all attached controllers.
-
That's exactly what I did. Thanks for the advice and the help. On another note a lot of these machines had specialty controls but the controller config seems pretty simple is there any way to say set up a logitech G27 steering wheel.

I had two Atomiswave.bat files I changed the one still in the original file and not the one in the new build file everything is working great now.
-
No all my ROMs are in the same folder and it still works if I use the last version just not in the new one. It doesn't seem to like either Atomis wave or awave is there an issue with the diretx11ng with Sammy games it looks like it launches then closes right away.
-
Noami is working but no dice on the Sammy do I have to change the bios name too.

DEmul x86 v0.7 Alpha BUILD 230915 This was listed as the current build so I grabbed it. Alt + F4 definitely works. These are the .bats I'm using @echo off SET STRING=%1 SET STRING=%STRING:.zip=% SET STRING=%STRING:J:\Emulation\Naomi\ROMs\=% echo %STRING% start demul.exe -run=atomiswave -rom=%STRING% @echo off SET STRING=%1 SET STRING=%STRING:.zip=% SET STRING=%STRING:j:\Emulation\Naomi\ROMs\=% echo %STRING% start demul.exe -run=naomi -rom=%STRING% They launch which ever game you choose without having to specify with code.
-
Didn't know there is a new version out. I don't know what to do here I don't really want to have to add custom command to each game I wonder if the .bat would still work with the newer version and thus just add the alt+f4 feature. I also think there must be a way to exit with the AHK since it works with the same version of Demul using Dreamcast game I just don't know what code it would require. Edit: I can't seem to find a copy of that online anyway you could link me to it.

I have it working now but it is opening a lot of games and just closing right away even though it is set to the highest settings Using the .bat about 1 out of 5 games launches the others mount start SSF then SSF closes on its own and DT unmounts. Using the regular .exe with the additional apps settings all my games open without any issues. Some games open to the empty disk screen also with the .bat but work fine with the .exe so I'm going to go with much more work but way better performance.
-
my Version of SSF doesn't have a drive letter you can either set it to DT or the physical drive from the drop down and then in the SSF.ini it is listed as 1 if you change it to 0 then the physical drive is listed. What version of SSF are you using
-
I just copied that script again and tried to use it every time I launch a game from LauchBox it says that the drive is empty so the part that start SSF works but something with what it tell Daemon isn't working maybe in the 4.49 version I have. Its very frustrating knowing other have it working but I can't get it to work.

Ok I just went about setting up Demul for Sammy Atomiswave games using the .bat from here after doing so I then wanted to try to use Demul to try and load a few DreamCast games that won't work in NullDC first I tried 4x4 Evo and when launching it gave me the Sammy gamelist instead of loading the file I wanted so I realized I had an issue even though it had set the default commands for Demul it wasn't using them because the .bat was telling it to use the Sammy BIOS so I then renamed the emulator with the Atomiswave.bat to Demul1 removed the Dreamcast parameters and added Demul again using the normal .exe file and then it launched the DC games no issue. Using Demul with DC works fine and the AutoHotKey command causes Esc to close Demul but when using Sammy even with the AHK script Esc does absolutely nothing any one know why? I tried changing Demul to Demul1 but no effect then I changed it to Atomiswave.bat no dice there either so then I tried adding the AHK to the Atomiswave.bat directly and it has no effect. I'm at a loss here if I can't exit the program back into LaunchBox then that kind of sucks anyone have any ideas.

Is that script working for you I can't get it to work for me and have had to go adding an additional app route for every single game.
-
I have Windows 10 let me make sure that is the one that I got.
-
let us know when it goes public so we can get in at the ground floor.

Just if it wasn't mentioned then there would be no concern over it. Brad this is one of the most civil web sites I've ever seen even disagreements are usually settled amicably here and they barely ever even arise.
-
Sorry to have opened the proverbial can of worms.
-
They have up to v4.5 and I would assume that most people would install the latest version.
-
was searching on their forum to see if there was ever any mention of LaunchBox on their site and I saw a post saying that they had updated it so I looked around. Wouldn't anyone who installed one of those versions instantly be prompted to download to a newer version anyway. I just saw a post on there where a user was asking about GameEX so I posted that he should try LauchBox instead and posted a link to the BigBox video. Your program deserves much more attention than it get although I see that the forum members ship has doubles within the last month and the new user line at the bottom never has the same names for more than a day.
