  1. Shaders will have an impact depending on your GPU. Some shaders are heavier than others. While emulation itself is CPU dependent for every emulator out there shaders are all handled by your graphics card.
  2. I'm predominantly a metalhead but I do listen to some other stuff when the mood strikes like some classical, rap and techno style music. Stuff I won't listen to though is country and pop, basically if it's on the radio or TV I won't ever hear it. But then again I don't watch regular TV anymore outside of baseball and hockey and if I am in the car I got my iPod loaded up with metal.
  3. There's 3 things that make Retroarch the best way to emulate. Controller support like DOS76 said is one, awesome shaders is two and for me the single best reason is Hard GPU Sync to essentially eliminate as much input latency as possible. Those 3 reasons will make me use Retroarch above all other emulators.
  4. Hmmmm, I don't know, maybe those people from that one Planet of the Apes movie that were underground with the nukes and spoke telepathically. LOL
  5. Nah, the top tier would be PC Master Race, lol
  6. aww yeah, you should change em up to represent the console generation
  7. Lol, nah I wouldn't do that. Really it's no big deal to me what my forum thingamajig says.
  8. Yeah I can see that. It's just that the Game Gear really was just Master System hardware crammed into a handheld and so many games really were just Master System games. The Gameboy was at least its own hardware and games. I owned a Game Gear way back in the day back in high school, didn't have it all that long before I got rid of it again. Tried to play Sonic on it but the screen blur was so terrible, Mortal Kombat was a surprisingly good port however.
  9. What's the new plateau needed for 64-Bit status ? I can just spam shitposts to get it back lol
  10. Just out of curiosity though, what games are you wanting to play on the GameGear that arent available on the Master System ? I know a great many GG games were just Master System ports and the Master System stuff looks better full screened.
  11. Oooh, that's a tough one. I don't do any game gear stuff at all and while I do have Lynx stuff I never touch it. I have tried different shaders but never found anything to my personal like but the best thing I can tell you is to just experiment with different presets til you find one you like. You can try in the handheld presets folder as a start. I guess a big thing with them is just how big are trying to scale them up to ? If you are trying to go something close to full screen on a 1080 or higher monitor things are gonna start getting really big because those screens are really low resolution. If you go with a smaller window and some sort of handheld overlay to fit around it you may get a better look as well.
  12. It was quick for mine too.
  13. Yeah I guess that might work, will have to use it for a while and get used to it. Loving the new speed though.
  14. Aww yeah, new forums and a chat room. This make me a happy monkey. I lost my 64-Bit super computer status though I am missing the updated threads at the bottom of the of the forums though. I liked that to keep track of the new stuff going on.
  15. That floatiness and animation was in Symphony of the Night too and is something that could be easily tweaked as it gets closer to a finished product if they feel it needs to be changed.
  16. I haven't looked into either of those games. Early 3D era fighting games just don't do it for me anymore. I did love Virtua Fighter 2 back in the day, I actually owned it when I owned my Saturn back in 94/95 but nowadays if I feel like it ill load up 3 on Dreamcast or PS2. But yeah the working to not working ratio is insanely good. I grabbed DoDonPachi just to check out the port to see how good it was compared to the arcade and its surprisingly decent. Slightly lower resolution sprites but the gameplay is super smooth and the sound is great. The download came in ccd+img format which didn't work but mounting and re-dumping using ImgBurn fixed it. Glad your Sengoku Blade worked with the audio conversion.
  17. Yeah I googled that dll and I couldn't find a single thing on it.
  18. Damn this emulator being so good. Because of it's high quality already I am now stuck in getting games mode. My collection has grown from about a dozen games to now being over 45. It's gonna end soon though since I am getting to the point that all that is left is either pure Japanese RPGS, casino games, absolutely hideous early 3D games or one of the many fighting games which I have in Mame anyways. I do have some overlap into the arcade ports with 2D shooters though.
  19. Big difference between this and Mighty No. 9 is that this game is actually being done by an actual game designer and not some guy who was an artist on a game.
  20. One thing that stands out to me is in the 2nd shot where it says Emulator Application Path. It just says "Retroarch etroarch.exe", in mine it has the full path like "H:\Emulation\Emulators\Retroarch 1.3.6 etroarch.exe". I don't know if that is indeed the problem though or not. Everything in the first shot looks right though.
