  1. There are lots of threads about this very topic already on the forums and the answer is always the same thing, no, you do not need RocketLauncher but it does help with certain very problematic emulators and it does offer some features that Launchbox never will on its own. I won't get into listing any details because that is all discussed in the other threads.
  2. No, I will leave it since you posted a response which means you aren't just some spam bot
  3. @shadowgangs are you personally involved with this game and just trying to promote it ? Because this thread is pretty much just spam and I am tempted to remove it but I am also willing to overlook it and allow it as personal promotion since the game does look relevant to the interests of the community.
  4. Both are fine but I will always recommend Nvidia cards over AMD simply because AMDs OpenGL drivers are so bad and there are a lot of emulators that use OpenGL only so you will be less likely to run into issues with those emulators on an Nvidia card.
  5. I've seen this issue from a few people recently and I am not sure what it causing it or the fix for it is beyond restarting Launchbox and / or Windows as well. It might be something for Jason to look into but it's not something I have ever experienced myself but it certainly seems to be popping up more lately for people.
  6. Yeah that's about right, there is a lot of crap in the rom set including tons (and I mean TONS) of video poker and mahjong games plus all the different regional roms that get filtered out. Try forcing import duplicates with that game, see if that helps.
  7. You probably didn't get a response because you have an extremely odd issue that no one has an answer for you beyond what was given to you by @scooter1974 which is a driver issue.
  8. Good to hear, like I said, Mame needs different settings in LB for arcade and non arcade systems, though I think if you are using the actual Mame software lists it uses the same LB settings.
  9. Yeah, this will cause issues.
  10. The command line version is very easy to use. Simply make all your settings adjustments in the mame.ini file which has to be in the main folder with the mame64.exe. What I do is I have a 2nd install of Mame just for non arcade emulation like NeoGeo CD, I do this for purely ease of use for my personal preference. You do need a separate instance of Mame setup in LB though since they use difference check boxes. I also just dump all the bios for non arcade in the \bios folder of this separate mame install but this is also just for personal preference, you can put them anywhere and tell Mame where the bios are in the mame.ini file.
  11. Just use Mame, it does it all now and works fine.
  12. Moved this to a more appropriate forum section since it has nothing to do with Launchbox or Featrures of it.
  13. Unfortunately there is no good option here though you can try Retroarch and some of its lighter weight crt shaders like crt-pi which is made for very low end hardware like the raspberry pi as the name implies.
  14. Sounds like a memory leak of some kind though where from I cannot say, could be from BigBox or maybe some other software you may have running in the background (if you have other software running as well). First thing I would try is running it with attract mode disabled and see if the same issue persists.
  15. Stand alones in those 3 instances are better though I do prefer the RA core for DS personally.
  16. Not if the emulator name in LB isn't changed.
  17. Yes, for Dolphin create a blank text document in your Dolphin folder called portable.txt. For PCSX2 it's the same thing but the file is called portable.ini. As for your first question, you can try editing the xml file where your emulators are stored but it's fairly easy to just move your emulators and repoint Launchbox to them, take a few minutes at most depending on how many you have.
  18. Yeah that's awful, I know I can be a bit abrasive at times but even i'm not that bad.
  19. At least I can say it isn't me, I don't go near the database stuff.
  20. Do that if you wish but i'll tell you right now it's a waste of money and good luck getting any support from the drive sellers, they're all scammers.
  21. They need to be downloaded like the regular rom set. As for your new problem, that I don't really have an answer for you other than try deleting the mame.ini file and creating a new fresh one or doing a fresh Mame install.
  22. Area 51 requires a CHD file and so will some others.
  23. No problems, we also have a discord server where you can come and ask questions as well. https://discord.gg/AFxfhnv
