You might wanna take your own advice and re-read what @Retro808 and @DOS76 told you. Move your mame.ini to the main folder with the Mame executable, nothing to do with actual rom location. Our "belief" is proven by the simple fact we all do it.

Try checking the "Use file name only" option in the edit emulator for FBA.

My advice is to not use Mame / MESS for the 2600, use either the stand alone version of Stella or the Retroarch core if you use it at all. Stella is by far the best 2600 emulator out there.

Well if you have any accented characters in your paths you need to rename a folder or move your roms to a folder path that doesn't have an accent. From there you can either bulk edit your rom path in LB or remove your games and re-import them from the new path.

A letter with an accent in your language, for example the o in emulation in your screenshot has one.

Everything in your screenshots appear correct but my first concerns would be you may you have an accented character in either your emulator or rom path or your paths are so long you are hitting the cap. My first guess is an accented character though.

You can just import your games into the Android version without exporting from the desktop version.

Yeah if people are sending PM's accusing people of cheating that will not be tolerated and will result in warnings or possibly bans depending on severity or frequency. This is basically harassment so don't do it.

Take it easy on the name calling but more importantly just because someone gets a hi score it doesn't mean they are cheating so relax heavily on the cheating accusations. Remember that this feature is "for fun" it's not to be taken seriously, there is no money or e-fame in having a hi score here, there is zero need to be all super serious about this stuff.

I'd be curious to know which games allow you to keep your score after continuing because if I had to bet money on it I would bet that those games also reward you with more points if you aren't dying and doing certain things correctly like chaining enemies or something. In the end it's all fair though, if everyone can just dump coins then everyone is on an even playing field.

At the end of the say this is a "for fun" feature, if people are taking it so seriously that they are cheating then I don't know what to say. We aren't Guinness World Records or Twin Galaxies, there is literally no reason to cheat other than ones own personal epeen because no one cares that you have the high score on a game here. Prevent as much cheating as it is feasibly possible to do but beyond that it's just a waste of effort because you could spend endless amounts of time trying to do what Twin Galaxies does except they do it for money and they still have cheating.

You can install it pretty much anywhere you want, in fact i'd always recommend installing to any drive but ? drive.

You can point LB to your media but it will be a bit tedious since you have to do it for each platform and media type by editing the platform in LB. You can also move / copy your media into the default Launchbox folder structure.
