  1. This is unlikely to be a Launchbox issue but rather an emulator issue and some Googling gave a few possible causes and solutions. https://lmgtfy.com/?q=LoadLibrary+failed+with+error+1114
  2. This is something that has been brought up in the past and I think it's been on the user polls but never got enough votes to push it forward. Maybe in the future it will get implemented if it gets enough votes in future polls.
  3. It freezes here for me as well and my rom is from the No-Intro set so it is most like just bad emulation which is typical for the 32X.
  4. This is an issue that comes up time and time again and there is no simple answer to it, it's just how Windows is with USB ports and controllers. Now having said that, I was reading an article about setting up dual flight sticks and throttle for Star Citizen a couple of a nights ago and of course having that many controllers is a nightmare due to how Windows deals with this stuff. This article goes over a lot of stuff and several programs working together to work out the issue but apparently it works. I have no idea if this same stuff would work here but in theory I would imagine it would. Here is the article so take a look at it and see if any of it works out for you. https://ventorvar.com/posts/joystick-intro/
  5. Moved thread to appropriate section.
  6. You can always just put your roms in the \roms sub folder of your Mame support if you wish and Mame should work perfectly fine out of the box though I am not certain of that when it comes to the mame.ini being in the \ini sub folder. If your roms are elsewhere you always need to tell Mame where they are for it to work, that is just how Mame works. There is not. As always we recommend getting games working in the emulator outside of Launchbox first, it makes it much easier to troubleshot from there.
  7. Yeah the rom path has to be defined in Mame (either through the UI or in the mame.ini) and the mame.ini has to be in the main folder with the Mame executable, for whatever reason when you load games via command line with the ini file in the \ini sub folder it doesn't work. Good to hear you got it sorted.
  8. Setting up controls in the stand alone Mame is very simple.
  9. Move the mame.ini file out from the \ini folder to the main folder with the executable and see if that solves your issue.
  10. Just add the platform to the list.
  11. Does your sound work in your emulators when run outside of Launchbox ? Because LB shouldn't have any effect on your emulators at all, LB doesn't touch emulator settings in any way, shape or form.
  12. Is your mame.ini file in the main Mame folder (where the executable is) or is it in the \ini sub folder of the install folder ? It needs to be in the main folder with the executable.
  13. No, you just have to add it to the list manually by typing it in.
  14. Pauls Hardware just uploaded this new video to his YouTube channel which is very nice and has a great budget to boot. Worth checking out.
  15. I suppose I should have given some actual details about what it is rather than a vague "check this out" post. I don't want to overstate or understate anything since I am still toying around a bit with it but essentially it's a dynamic reflection bezel shader which also uses a very good crt effect. The bezel is very nice and clean and not some gaudy flashy crap which I tend to find very distracting. It also is resolution independent so you can use it with any resolution without any manual tweaking.
  16. https://forums.libretro.com/t/hsm-mega-bezel-reflection-shader-feedback-and-updates/25512 This is something that may be of interest to some people, very interesting project.
  17. I just always recommend using stand alone Mame over the RA core, the only Mame core in RA I use is the 2003 Plus one since it has some nice little features like 4 joystick emulation which makes games like Pac-Man a little better to control on an 8 way joystick and it supports netplay.
  18. If the game is working through RA on its own but not through LB i'm not sure what would cause that other than maybe a video driver in RA incompatibility with a shader or something. The blurriness is just a side effect of the Mame initializing UI element not playing nicely with the RA resolution.
  19. Create shortcuts for each game and mass import the shortcut files like any other rom file. We have guides on this here on the forums.
  20. Make 2 separate platforms is the easiest way I can think of, that is what I did. I have my No Filler set and I have a Mame 2003 Plus set, each in their own platform with their own emulator.
  21. https://pcpartpicker.com/list/cdLFZf Updated build with a 3400G and removed the graphics card. A reasonable option of course but lacks real punch if you wanna play any modern PC games on it at all. Building a PC is always an exercise in budget vs needs vs wants. This is all of course just a guideline for what you can get for the money They do and the Ryzen CPUs come with a pretty good heat sink and fan which is why I did not include one in the build.
