Some Platform Clear Logos Won't Change / Change Back
zugswang replied to CyberOcelot's topic in Noobs
I have found that it looks for logos in either the default theme logo folder, the themes own logo folder or the main images/platforms folder. Just check all 3 and see which one it's looking at, as this is probably your issue (as I have found on every theme I have tried) -
Use powerpoint, very easy to make your own themes (as long as you can find media for it)

Platform clearlogo art
zugswang replied to Qbertzelious's topic in LaunchBox for Windows Custom Themes
Even if you could make it work, it would be so small it would be as mentioned above ...... pointless. -
You are just embarrassing yourself now mate. Stop crying about it and move on. ??

IDM is the best, but unfortunately not everything in life is free.

You name it, I probably have it. Example: PS3 - 10TB PS2 - 4TB XBOX 360 - 10TB Nintendo Switch - 2TB MAME/Gamecube/PS1/PSP - 2TB Nintendo Wii / Wii U - 3TB XBOX One + PS4 (uses pc games) - 4TB Saturn Europe /USA / Japan - 1.5TB And on and on .....

This video is 2 years old. Use MAME romset zip files for Atomiswave games and flycast core on RA

Maybe having 200 emulators is my issue TeknoParrot and particularly Gamesloader will always have issues in my experience, but if you are saying you do not, then good for you. If you only have a few systems, you may not have found any issues, but I literally have 40tb of setup, so have experienced the lot, and easiest solution is to set an exclusion for me.
-
TeknoParrot works fine, but as with ALL emulation frontends, you need to set an exclusion in your anti virus/windows defender for the drive that your setup/emulators are on. Otherwise you will find certain files being quarantined and emulators getting stuck in the background.
-
Meaning, you can't download from them all at the same time. You can use on any computer, just not all at the same time for obvious reasons (obvious meaning you could give it to anyone and they could all login at the same time)
-
Yes you can, but not all at the same time.

In my experience you will find as you work your way through the games many won't load using CHD's (1,800+ on PS1) as I found when trying to convert to CHD. What people usually do is try a couple of games once converted and assume they will all work, but they don't. Bin/cue for me are the best, but as stated, for multi disc I used pbp. Also PCSXR stand alone emulator is also very good. Also, try these other PS1 cores, as you may find you need to mix them up for specific games: duckstation_libretro.dll mednafen_psx_hw_libretro.dll mednafen_psx_libretro.dll pcsx_rearmed_libretro.dll

I think we get the point that you are not happy. Maybe look at your computer rather than Launchbox. if this was an issue with Launchbox itself then everyone would be saying it in these forums. Look at your Windows Defender settings (set exclusion for Launchbox and emulator folders) , make sure your pc is updated fully and also any other programs like anti malware, virus etc to see if they resolve your issues. As mentioned before, you obviously don't know emulation if you think it's all about the frontend and not your computer. 99% of issues are usually down to the computer and NOT the frontend.
-
I recommend keeping all your games as bin/cue within the zip file For multi games, I converted all my games to pbp format, as keeping them bin/cue they don't work in multi games for RocketLauncher using RetroArch, so probably the same with Launchbox
-
Use RetroArch or Mupen64Plus emulator Project64 is dated and the 2 above are much better.

You need the following firmware for NDS, once you have them, just put them in the system folder. Firmware.bin bios7.bin bios9.bin
-
Great work again, much appreciated.

Awesome job, thanks.

Just use MAME, they all run fine (as long as you are using the MAME roms)

Norton removed a .dll file after LB update
zugswang replied to DARKCLOUDxx78's topic in Troubleshooting
It probably quarantined it, so check to see if you can restore it. Also, emulation in general is notorious for producing false positive viruses, so ensure that you set an exclusion for your entire Launchbox folder in any anti virus (including Windows Defender) or this will happen all the time in future. -
Just point it to your MAME roms folder, no need to move the roms.
-
Make sure you are using the latest MAME romset for the games, rather than the old bin/lst games. All works fine using Flycast with default settings, though tweaking to your liking will obviously help further.
