  1. If you want to keep your games compressed, I'd recommend switching to rar5 (which is the standard now) instead of 7z. Both have the same level of compression, but rar extracts a lot faster than 7z, a lot. I used to have them all in rar but now I switched to chd so the compression is the same but the games load instantly. I'm in the process of testing all the games, so far no issues.
  2. Hey Cid, first I want to say that I'm really liking this theme. Strangely enough, it's probably the one that runs the smoothest on my machine. I'd like to know if there is a way for me to fix the 4:3 platform videos so they are centered on the screen (changing some values in the xml or something). Examples of how they look now (It's the criticalzone theme, just added the background video from CityHunter): Thanks for this great theme.
  3. Haha yeah, the japanese version, with the different vocals and stuff. I usually go back and forth since there are things that I like from both versions. Jet Moto 2 is fantastic. I'm more familiar with the vanilla version so I don't know if brute-forcing the performance boost on it would make the championship edition redundant. I need to test that out. Sorry for the off-topic everyone. Carry on...
  4. Manually combined the following: - Bust a Groove / Bust a Move - Jet Moto 2 / Jet Moto 2 Championship Edition - Sunset Riders (2 Players) / - Sunset Riders (4 Players) It's working great, no issues on my end.
  5. Tested it with Ace Combat 3 in Big Box. It's working pretty well. A minor issue: When selecting "Play (USA) game" or "Play (Japan) game", Big Box doesn't show the "Loading game" screen. It shows up just fine if I hit "play". I also tried it with "Bust a Groove" / "Bust A Move - Dance & Rhythm Action" and it didn't work since the names differ quite a bit. Would it be possible in the future to manually group games together. I dunno, select 2 and right click "combine"? There are many games which the names are different depending on the region. Anyways, it's a great feature, it ties up the collection pretty nicely. MAME will benefit from this a lot.
  6. Would it be possible to add an option to select where the cache folder is located? I have everything on a regular HDD so having Launchbox on my SSD is not possible due to space limitations. The ability to have only the cache folder on SSD would improve the performance quite a bit I think.
  7. I've been having this issue since I bought launchbox around 6/7 months ago. First of all, these are my specs: AMD FX-8350 @ 4.2ghz 16gb RAM ddr3 Gforce GTX 580 x 2 SLI Windows 10 Pro I can run games like Witcher 3 and Dolphin at 60fps with no issues so I don't think it's a power problem. I have massive stuttering going from one game to the next. It's like it freezes for 1/4 of a second until it loads "something". It's not only a coverflow issue, even in the main menu the platform wheel art stutters pretty badly when I scroll. It's not a cache issue either, I tried having only one system with 10 games and the performance was still bad. The only view that runs perfectly is this one: No stutters there, even the transitions work perfectly. Trying to narrow down the issue, here are the things that I've tried: Formatted C: drive and installed Windows 10 from scratch. Re-Installed Launchbox on SSD. Disabled SLI Force triple buffer / vsync in the drivers. Lock 60fps with Rivatuner. Tried both 60hz and 120hz. Force CPU to run in performance mode. Gave Big Box admin rights. Run Big Box in compatibility mode. Disabled display scaling. Updated GPU drivers. Disabled all those useless Windows 10 services. Lowered the quality of the covers. Disabled all the transitions. Lowered Big Box framerate to 30. I honestly have no idea what's the problem. CPU and RAM performance seem fine: GPU goes crazy though: So I dunno, that has been my experience with the issue so far. Any ideas are welcome.
