  1. Amiga (WinUAE) uses -0 -1 -2 -3 to insert disks into different floppy drives (although not all games supported that many external floppy drives or any at all sometimes) FM Towns (Unz) games for this system can be a mix of both floppy and cd drive although I can't remember the command line switches at the moment. There's definitely others. I would actually say it is a major issue and this has definitely got my vote.
  2. After a bit more messing around it seems to only work if you manually save it first, but whdload and savestates are not a good combination, it was never meant to be used with whdload and your game will probably crash next time it loads anything from disk.
  3. After a bit of messing around I've found the quicksave/quickload does work with WHDLoad games however it has to have a savestate name defined first. Tested successfully with Turrican Please bear in mind that I'm using GameBase Amiga for this so I'm not sure how you'd implement it in Launchbox.
  4. Doesn't the quicksave/quickload key combos work any more? Shift+End+numpad 0 Quick savestate to slot 0 (replace 0 with 1 for slot 1 etc) End+numpad 0 Quick loadstate from slot 0 (replace 0 with 1 for slot 1 etc) (Taken from the GameBase Amiga help file I wrote many moons ago).
  5. Or just use Winape http://www.winape.net/ which still gets updated and also automatically loads Amstrad cpc games :)
  6. Yes they're missing from your selected romset, 18wheeler doesn't even work in MAME so I wouldn't worry about that one too much
  7. That's still one of the bios files, I don't want to break any rules and link to stuff but if you google as I said. the obvious result definitely has v2.bin present in the neogeo.zip
  8. I would have thought they would be, but I suppose it depends on the source where you downloaded them from. just google mame bios sets and you should find what you're looking for straight away
  9. You've got things slightly confused there.. You've got Commodore 64 which will be disk images. the PP as already mentioned are Preservation Project files, you might need this as I don't know how extensive the nointro C64 dats are. C64 Tapes are tape images, not all C64 games came out on disk, not all of them came out on tapes, but some will have come out on both Amiga, Plus4 and VIC20 are completely different machines entirely and are not related to the C64 but if you want them go ahead and get them. One thing to bear in mind is that with nointro sets, as far as I'm aware it means they are all uncracked..so if a game requires manual copy protection and you don't have the manual..you won't be able to play it.. For C64 games you're better off with the GB64 collection.
  10. According to the misslist you've posted, it's not that the game is missing any roms, but you are missing the neogeo bios sets which means none of the neogeo games will work for you. You should have (or try and find) a neogeo.zip with all of the above roms in.
  11. Confirmed I requested the removal of a duplicate Awesome golf for Atari Lynx and the removal of Air Warrior for 3DO which doesn't exist for that platform. Both removals were accepted but they're both still visible in the database.
  12. Suggests you need to reinstall DirectX https://www.microsoft.com/en-gb/download/details.aspx?id=8109
  13. lordmonkus said Maybe, maybe not. It could just be a case of setting up the controls better for games that have control problems. As for the non loading games they could just be rom dumps that Mess does not like. There's not much to configure control wise though..and 2nd button should be 2nd button regardless of what game is being ran. Moon Patrol just won't jump...and I mapped and then tried all the possible buttons with no luck. The crc of the rom I'm using also matches the one in MAME's a5200.xml Also for me at least, in MAME the tops of the mountains in the background scroll slower then the rest of the background, they keep getting cut off which definitely isn't meant to happen.
  14. Well I just tried H.E.R.O. and that works fine (MAME 0.175) but zero joy with Moon Patrol.. I'll wait and see what other games Imgema had problems with before further testing.
  15. Yeh the 2nd button is for jump, but it's not the only 5200 game I remember having problems with the 2nd button in MESS/MAME, as I recall it never worked for H.E.R.O. either where it's used for the dynamite. There's probably a few others as well I just can't recall at the moment, although you'd think if it works for one game it would work for all of them seeing as we're still emulating the same machine..
  16. DOS76 said I woke up and read this post and did some testing and yes I have both buttons working. I'm using MAME 174 though it was easy to setup it seems that as long as you have the bios files you can just add the platform under MAME using the same command line that Brad illustrated. Then add a directory path to your games in MAMEUI and launch I found a few things tricky as for Beamrider you have to start the game by using number keys for options and by default button 1 is set to do two functions and at first does neither. I mapped the number keys to my d-pad, R analog stick, shoulder buttons and triggers then I could start the game. I tested with this game specifically because I know it uses two separate buttons. Hmm you're right it does recognise both fire buttons for Beamrider..However it doesn't work for Moon Patrol and this is a problem that's been going on for a long time, could you try Moon Patrol and see if it works for you?
  17. It needs moving from Windows to DOS then which unfortunately isn't possible at the moment, The Dig is definitely a DOS game, there is no Windows version (although it would work in a dos prompt under Windows).
  18. A few days ago I submitted Ancient Land of Ys for the Apple IIGS seeing as the system hasn't got any games listed for it at present, I waited patiently and now I see it's been rejected.. No reason given..would be nice to have a reason seeing as it's a completely valid game including screenshots which proves the game exists.
  19. Is it possible to move a game entry from one platform to another platform? I was looking at the Archimedes database http://gamesdb.launchbox-app.com/platforms/games/74 and noticed that 6 of the games aren't even Archimedes games. 3D Bomb Alley, 3D Dotty, All World Boxing, Blagger, Boffin & Snapper are all BBC Micro/Electron games. Also a new platform should be created for the BBC Micro https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/BBC_Micro Although a lot of Electron games will work on the BBC Micro, not all of them will and the BBC Micro had some that won't work on an Electron.
