RetroHumanoid Cinematics & Refried Theme
Belgarath replied to RetroHumanoid's topic in Big Box Custom Themes
Awesome work, I downloaded a few of your videos yesterday and was very impressed with them, one problem with the FM Towns video though, it's a great video but the gameplay footage of Zak looks like it's the Amiga version, it's certainly not the FM Towns version which is heck of a lot more colourful (see screenshot below). -
Or how about this wonderful entry, gta v the adventure for the NEC PC88 suitable for early childhood... This isn't a mistake, this is deliberate bad information. Help us Obi- @Jason Carr you're our only hope.

Excellent Colecovision video, thanks very much for this, however I have noticed a small error. Instead of saying "plays Atari VCS" it says Attri instead.

Anyone got any idea's about what is going on with this entry?

Yeh I've edited entries on Giant Bomb in the past, not done so for quite some time now though. -
Strange issue with the entry for Predator 2 for DOS
Belgarath replied to FistyDollars's topic in Troubleshooting
The game has been submitted twice, there's https://gamesdb.launchbox-app.com/games/details/95712 Which is what Launchbox is finding and is the one with the disk/screenshot/logo and there's also https://gamesdb.launchbox-app.com/games/details/95713 Which is the one with the front, back and title. -

Perfectly valid, there's a few more gameboy games like that as well, the bugs bunny crazy castles are the same. -
[EmuMovies] Atari Jaguar Video Snaps Updated (v1.4)
Belgarath replied to circo's topic in Game Media
Thanks @circo just one thing, it should be Ultra Vortek not Vortex -
Look in your Launchbox\Updates folder Older versions incl ver 7 are probably in there.

It does have an American title, Lightening Force. It's probably been imported under that name.

Any update on this @Jason Carr ?

Running Win 7 64bit here, confirming that b9 crashed immediately but b10 is working fine

Just ran into this erorr myself now, problem occured with this entry https://gamesdb.launchbox-app.com/games/details/81296 Someone tried editing it with a ton of random garbage, like changing the platform from aamber pegasus to 3do, adding example.com as urls. Couldn't reject the changes, only option was to skip, after that I got the unexpected error and that's all I get now. Hoping @Jason Carr can fix it soon.

I'm not getting any error message when I click on moderate, and as I've had a few submissions recently approved, there must be a few people who aren't having any problems either. Have you tried using a different browser?

It's working but the invite has expired. Try this one https://discord.gg/GYG9rfU

I wasn't sure what to do with them, like you said they're (mostly) technically correct, but there's little effort and there's no : to seperate subtitles, and when I see entry after entry like this being submitted I stop because it's too painful to carry on..

I think the DB server has slowed down a little bit since Jason worked his magic, but it's still much much faster than it was before.

I'm having the same problem, not sure it's beta3 though that's causing the problem as I'm pretty sure I used it yesterday without a problem, this morning though (GMT) I can't connect.

Pheonix Emulator Integration/Command Line Help?
Belgarath replied to HellfireEternal's topic in Noobs
Here's the post I made, it also links to the rocketlauncher script open the phoenix.ahk with a text editor (should be in RocketLauncher\Modules\Phoenix) delete everything there and replace it with the code in this thread http://www.rlauncher.com/forum/showthread.php?4160 I used the first code example, however it gave me a problem which turned out to be this line dialogOpen := i18n ("dialog.open") ; Looking up local translation I changed it to dialogOpen := ("dialog.open") ; Looking up local translation The other problem is Phoenix has it's own database and you need to load your games individually in phoenix first which will add them to the phoenix.config.xml There is an example config in the rocketlauncher thread but even after editing the paths and filenames I still had a lot of problems with it, it's safer to load the games yourself in phoenix first. Once you've done all that it should work from rocketlauncher and of course then works from launchbox if you set rocketlauncher as the emulator. -

Going to get something to eat, there's a thread on here somewhere with my findings, think it shows the full script. If not I'll dig it up after I've eaten. -
Pheonix Emulator Integration/Command Line Help?

I got Phoenix 3DO emulation to work with Launchbox, but that's in conjunction with rocketlauncher. As far as I know there is no way to get it to work with just launchbox. -
Retroarch Hatari Core (Atari ST) Crashing Issue
Belgarath replied to Dreamwarrior77's topic in Troubleshooting
TOS 1.02 is generally regarded as the most compatible TOS (Mega ST) but some of the early games will want 1.00. Then there's things like memory, some might want 512k only, others prefer 1mb. That doesn't just vary from game to game either, a crack of one game may want one config, whilst another crack of the same game may want something different. Having said all that though I don't use the hatari core, I still prefer to use Steem as well. -
I personally think that when a person reaches a certain amount of approved submissions, the requirement for approval should go down, if a person has submitted for example 1000 approved submissions they should only need 2 other people approving their submissions, hit 5000 and they only need one. That will alleviate the moderation queue. For example I've submitted 10786 changes, 10759 have been approved, 24 rejected (and out of the rejected, most have been resubmitted with better explanations and then approved). I've also currently got a bunch of submissions with 2 approvals and it's been like that for about 4 days now. If I only needed 2 approvals the changes would already be live. What do you think @Jason Carr? edit: Also @diamondgeezer's idea of an award scheme is a good one. I'm not sure about the forced moderation though, there are certain things I can moderate fairly easily, others I have no clue about, and waiting 30 seconds between moderation whilst the next page loads is too much..

Yeh, I know he's a busy guy but you're right, it's been quite a while since I've seen him on here, likewise I hope he's ok
