Decided to take a break from 3rd person action adventure games after completing Uncharted 1, 2, and 4, The Last of Us Remastered, and Rise of the Tomb Raider by trying out The Walking Dead Season 1. I played the first chapter this evening and I'm really enjoying it so far. It reminds me of old school point and click adventure games like Monkey Island only the choices you make affect the story and how characters react to you. I'm really looking forward to episode 2 tomorrow and I'm glad I got both seasons for €7!

Beautiful logo, the standard FBA logo is awful in my opinion. This is so much better.

You've got my vote for sure, there is great potential here!

Definitely a good idea, however, you have to take into account that people will need to be using the same emulator/core and the fact that changes between versions of emulators/cores could break the save files/states.

Just back from seeing Arrival. It's definitely worth checking out. Amy Adams and Jeremy Renner are both good and it was a new idea as regards an "alien invasion" movie. It does what any good sci fi movie should do and that's have you leaving the cinema thinking about a novel concept and making you want to watch it again. Recommended.

10 Cloverfield Lane was one of my favourite movies this year, really great stuff. I think we are going to see Arrival tonight, it's getting great reviews and I am also a big sci fi fan. Will post afterwards what I thought of it!

So I completed Rise of the Tomb Raider, been off sick from work a few days so this helped to keep me occupied. I enjoyed the game, it wasn't quite Uncharted 4, but very enjoyable. The dlc that came with the 20th Anniversaty Edition was ok, I guess. I am only ever interested in story dlc and none of the "horse armour" rubbish. The Baba Yaga dlc was pretty cool but the Blood Ties dlc, where you wander around Croft Manor reading documents, was as exciting as it sounds. All in all, a good game, probably not worth getting the dlc. Same with most games really.

I'll keep that in mind, maybe I'll just use PCSX2 for exclusives. God of War 2 seems a pain to get set up properly. Too much fiddling, I like to set up an emulator just once and then play games.

I've had no issues with Dolphin so far, in fact, I consider it one of the best emulators out there. Which game did you have trouble with? If I have it I can check.

Are the Tony Hawk games better on GC/Dolphin than on PS2/PCSX2? That's a question I've been meaning to ask on the forums actually, is emulation better with Dolphin for multiformat games? PCSX2 seems to require a bit of fiddling around with settings in different games where as Dolphin seems to "just work." What do you guys think?

I thought a thread discussing what people are currently playing, new and old, might be a nice idea! I'm currently playing Rise of the Tomb Raider 20th Anniversary Edition on PC. Really enjoying it so far, the graphics look great maxed out at 1080p60. It's basically Uncharted, but with a bow! I enjoyed the 2013 reboot so getting this when I saw it for €22 was a no-brainer. Played a bit of the first Sly Cooper on PCSX2 via Big Box aswell today, never played it before but always liked the look of those cel shaded graphics. Pretty fun do far ? What are you guys playing?

Thanks @Maddoc1007 that seemed to be the issue. That field was blank. I added the default command line parameters for Hikaru there, I didn't even have to put the rom name, and it booted the game. I'll look into an additional app to press Alt + Enter on startup to make the Hikaru games run full screen, I think I saw someone on the forum talking about that.

Yeah, they work when I open Demul, choose Run Hikaru, then click on a game in the list. In LaunchBox, clicking on a Hikaru game just brings up Demul with the NAOMI list.

I now have all of my NAOMI games working ? My Hikaru games just launch Demul and show the NAOMI rom list for some reason, even though I have set the parameters as you have in associated platforms.

Yeah I use start and select, but GC pads have no Select button.

That's all I had to do? And there was me messing around with controller automation in Big Box trying to choose two buttons that were common to all 3 of my gamepads. I'm gonna look into this. So all I have to do is assign Start + X or whatever I like to the Stop function and it will exit Dolphin back to the Big Box menu?

Cheers. Working my way through my rom list in LaunchBox and adding the required chd files as I go. It's all worth it in the end!

Just downloaded the full 50GB MAME 0.179 set and transferred over cvs2gd (tiny file can't be right) and got this: http://imgur.com/z3qRWXa EDIT: I found gdl-0007a.chd for MAME 0.178, added it to the folder and it launched! Ok, I'll jut have to do this for all my troublesome NAOMI roms.

Ok, so I have somehow managed to get NAOMI games working after many hours of messing around. However, some of my roms give me errors that files are missing and must be from the wrong set, but I got all my roms from the same place. I have tried countless sites to no avail. What set does Demul 0.7a use? Of course it's the games I have no interest in that work no problem, and the ones I really want to play don't!

Good news on the WiiWare clear logo set being completed. Hopefully the video snaps for Wii will be added to soon also, I think I saw over on Emumovies that @Circo was working on them a few months back.
