  1. I get "Cancelled Network Board Not Present" Thanks for the Supermodel UI link, tested with Virtual On and it booted fullscreen
  2. Thanks @DOS76, as always! Also, does Daytona 2 work? I just get some error screen on boot. It's the Daytona games on both arcade boards I want to play, and they are the only games on both systems that I have had issues with, typical!
  3. Sorry to be reviving an old thread, but better than creating a new one I guess. So, I downloaded Supermodel SVN r486 x64 and have all of the Supermodel roms imported into LaunchBox. When I click on a game, it does not launch full screen and there does not seem to be any user interface to force it to do so or configure controls. Does anyone know how to set this up and perhaps increase resolution?
  4. Hi guys, I was setting up the Model 2 platform this morning and imported my roms. All games appear to be working except Daytona USA. I noticed that LaunchBox imports only 3 of the 5 Daytona roms I have and obviously one of the two it won't import is the parent rom. I have tried re-importing multiple times to force clones, allow duplicates etc., but Launchbox refuses to list the two missing roms. Has anybody got this game working? EDIT: I think I got it sorted. I tried by using the "Add" option in LaunchBox and it seems like it's working ?

    Raine

Sweet, might check that out. Thanks!

    Raine

What games does Raine support that are not playable in MAME? Is it easier to set up than MESS in LaunchBox for Neo Geo CD games? I might add it for Crossed Swords 2 and Ironclad.

    Issues with MAME

So I scraped all the metadata for MAME, a lot missing I guess. Is there anywhere I can get a full pack of MAME clear logos? It looks pretty ugly at the moment in BigBox and I don't have the heart to do any more manual editing. I changed the emulator back to RetroArch MAME and the games appear in a window behind BigBox still making this emulator unusable for this platform. I think the RetroArch MAME core is simply broken right now. EDIT: I found a clear logo pack fro MAME her: http://emumovies.com/forums/topic/10842-mame-game-logo-pack/ Looks much better now There are plenty of duplicate games still, I have about seven 1941s for example, so I guess I will have to delete those manually. It's getting there!

    Issues with MAME

Ok, import completed and now I get 2,736 games. Much more manageable! This seems to have highlighted an issue with choosing RetroArch as the default emulator on import for the Arcade platform. I imagine once the roms are imported, users can choose their default emulator anyway. Might be something @Jason Carr could take a look at. Ok, tested a game and it works! The game launched as normal and did not open in a window behind LaunchBox! Thanks for all your help!

    Issues with MAME

I figured something out, I am choosing RetroArch as my emulator instead of MAME and when I do this I am not presented with the final screen you have above. I cancelled the import and will install MAME standalone now.

    Issues with MAME

Thanks @DOS76 I will try this now and let you know once everything has imported (may take a while!) So, by doing it this way I should end up with about 3,000 games as opposed to 29,000?

    Issues with MAME

I wonder do I have to do a cleanup of my romset with ClrMAMEPro first to remove all the clones?

    Issues with MAME

Nope, when I try to import there is no option to exclude clones form what I can see, it will import 29,000 roms.
  13. It's definitely much easier, I used to use Magic Engine years ago but since I moved to the RetroArch Mednafen PCE-fast core I have never looked back. Just place syscard3.pce in your RetroArch system folder and load the cue file from RetroArch. The core also supports bin+cue+ogg which takes up less storage space on your hard drive if you want to add a lot of CD games

    Issues with MAME

Sounds good, hopefully the re-import resolves the issue of RetroArch opening behind BigBox, if not, I'll log a ticket.

    Issues with MAME

Cool, I'll leave that import over night, hopefully I should end up with about 8,000 playable games out of the full MAME 0.161 romset as opposed to 29,000

    Issues with MAME

If it keeps the media and I re-scrape everything, it won't add duplicates of anything already there right?
  17. Charco

    Issues with MAME

No, I don't allow LaunchBox to delete roms, I guess it just deletes them from LaunchBox as a platform or whatever. I guess I don't need to re-scrape all my data as I see some flyers and clear logos appeared, maybe some videos too. I am not sure as I gave up on MAME after being a bit disgusted it didn't work after a night of importing

    Issues with MAME

Ok thanks for the advice, so I just delete the platform or highlight all games with Ctrl + A and delete?

    Issues with MAME

So, I've come back to this after configuring all my other systems and updating LaunchBox to 6.9 stable and the issue persists. I will try MAME standalone as the default emulator for the platform next. Also, when I imported all my MAME roms, it has included all clones and displays them with the rom zip file name in both LaunchBox and BigBox. Obviously, I don't want this and thought I had chosen to import and hide clones. Is it possible to do this now from the GUI? The LaunchBox Games DB obviously has no clear logos for these files and navigating through 20,000 games is not going to work in a logo wheel.
  20. I guess I was part of that, voted last week
  21. I hadn't thought of that. I put my TG16 full set and my handful of PC Engine Japanese exclusives under my TG16 wheel. If there was an option to add sub wheels, I could have each system inside, PC Engine, PC Engine CD, SuperGrafx, Turbo CD etc. Cool idea.
  22. I think I'll leave it as is as I'd be afraid of breaking something. I already have about 20 systems set up with over 500GB of games and counting. I have yet to add Dreamcast and PS2 and still want to add the top 20 or so PSX and Saturn games. The bulk of what I have space wise is Wii and Gamecube though, about 80 Wii games and 50 Gamecube games.
  23. Oooh, looks like I got a HTPC at just the right time for all the great stuff that is going on with LaunchBox and community created apps like this! Great work! Once I have configured everything the way I like it (probably 25 years from now ) I will definitely use this. I would also like to be able to exit to Windows as I will still need to do PC stuff every once in a while on it.
  24. I don't think I have ever bothered with adding the qsound.zip and all my CPS2 games run just fine in RetroArch FBA. Is it really needed?
