  1. There have been other threads on this issue. Everyone else solved it by disabling startup processes (even anti virus, msi afterburner, etc) one by one until they found it wasn't an issue on startup anymore.

    PC Games

PC Game imports really need a valid choice on import. No idea why that never gets added to LB.
  3. Yeah, I really think this should be a setting in options somewhere.

    Basic Issue

For your x-arcade, all you have to do is go into the keyboard settings in options and set the navigation for each item you want using your x-arcade. Edit: oh, and you are probably going to get a lot more grey hair as you get into using various emulators, haha! LB/BB is the super easy part. Emulators and controllers are where grey hair comes . You may want to check the forum video tutorials when you start setting up your emulators and platforms. They will visually guide you through things. And of course, people will help you on this forum when needed.
  5. I think they both share the same cache folder.

    Steam

If it's a problem, you might try disabling Steam's start at startup option and just launch Steam and then Launchbox from a batch file that you put in your user startup folder to control the order that these applications startup. you might even have to put in a delay between launch of steam and LB using something like the timeout.exe command for the delay. so the batch file you put in your startup folder could be something like: start c:\steam\steam.exe timeout 10 (this waits for 10 seconds before going to the next line. only use this line if you need to and adjust time to whatever works for your system) start c:\launchbox\bigbox.exe (fix paths to match where your steam and BB exe files are)
  7. It's a good question. But I"m guessing the cache wasn't really fully loaded when you thought it was. I've found it's kind of hard to force a full cache after deleting everything in the cache folder to start it over again. I also go to ALL and scroll. But I keep slowly scrolling up and down several times until I see it stops growing and LB process calms down. I think LB and BB both grow the cache folder.
  8. i exit BB with my xbox controller's right stick press or my keyboard's escape key. but you can set anything you want to use in BB settings. you can also exit BB from the menu. it's best to exit using the exit menu option, because i think any other way doesn't remember your last platform view when you re-launch.
  9. Hoping someone will see this and try creating a plugin for it. In LB, right click the game and see "Open With" and then a list of associated emulators is show. Also some way to add this to Bigbox too. Bitbucket request and forum thread: https://bitbucket.org/jasondavidcarr/launchbox/issues/1005/run-with-context-menu-to-be-able-to-run
  10. I vote for it too and would like to see it. Seems like it might be a good one for someone to create a plugin for, if plugins have access to all that is needed for this menu option. Don't know if it can work for BB as a plugin? This feature has lots of votes in bitbucket. Hope Jason adds it in the next release.
  11. Ah ok. Yeah, a full refresh is a heavyweight activity that I'd rather not do unless I have to.
  12. How do you refresh BB platform wheel clear logos in Launchbox (they aren't even used in LB)? Do you mean you just like choose to refresh everything (all cache) in LB which then takes care of it?
  13. yeah, i didn't think it would be a release blocker and i didn't even think it was new to the Betas. probably a lot of people would resort to cleaning out the entire cache, which would be a major bummer. but i'm glad it can be solved, although tedious, by finding the specific cached files and deleting just those. i'm not sure why any of those cached files would need to be in use when you are inside the settings screens at the part where you specifically choose to refresh them, but i guess that's the bug here. i hope it will get fixed later, because i somewhat often swap out my platform wheel clear logos. major kudos for the plugin feature - woot woot!
  14. Playlists are exactly what the doctor ordered! I love them! But now I need clear logos and videos.
  15. Cool, thanks. I did see yours in the Downloads section and got them. I still have gaps. Maybe I need to learn how to make them.
  16. Does anyone have platform playlist clear logos like: fighters, schmups, rpg, soccer, kids, shooter, etc?
  17. i replaced the clear logo image files for two platforms. even after doing a 'refresh platform wheel images' multiple times, they are not changing from the old ones. even after restarting BB, the old ones remain in cache and used in the platform wheel. can't seem to get them to update the way they are supposed to from BB options. i guess this option in BB is broken. had to find and manually delete those two platform wheel logon files in the giant cache folder before the BB platform wheel would show them. i'm just using the default BB theme.
  18. no problem here adding a new platform with Beta 10 (Windows 10 x64 version 10.0.14393)
  19. Also, I'm not even sure it can be a plugin if LB must be closed to change the xml files.
  20. Seems like it would be so simple to just add the most basic way to help people when moving their games to different locations and just change one single setting in LB. If LB just had a simple field in settings to allow someone to enter the base path for roms, it would probably make things a lot easier for so many people that keep asking how to do this. The simplest setting would be an all or nothing change (for all roms, not just specific platforms) that would change the base location for ALL games/roms. @lordmonkus was gracious enough to write up a nice Notepad++ tutorial on how to do it, but LB should really have this built in. Yeah a plugin could do this too, but I think it's a core feature that belongs inside of LB.
  21. Great, cant wait for the cooler ones!
  22. I would love to get a "fun" LB shirt like how @DOS76 describes in the original post. Just having Launchbox text would require to much explaining to people
  23. Was hoping they would have a cool print on the back, like maybe Bigbox with a cool theme or maybe a bunch of console logos and stuff on back. But, they only have a tiny little Launchbox logo on the front and nothing on back. Maybe in the future
  24. Hmm, seems they exist. I just googled and got this: https://www.launchbox-app.com/merch
  25. Aw man! That's a bummer. I would like to buy one.
