  1. I'm certain most sorted properly. But not these two. I didn't check every single one though. Figured you would check.
  2. The background image does show and work when i highlight a game, but I can set it to be much more faded in old LB. It's not faded in LB.Next so it kinda gets in your face (for my preference anyway). In old LB I have it set to be very faded so it's hardly seen. hope that makes sense, I don't have LB next to me to use the right setting names in the options.
  3. Hmm, but don't think I have any issues or errors if I use old LB gui. I'll double check. On the left pane where platforms are listed (when showing by platform) if I click to show Publisher or Developer, it is not sorted properly, but it is sorted properly in old LB.
  4. what is you change your OS display setting to scaling 100%? also, maybe you can use Retroarch and ps1 core instead of epsxe.
  5. That has happened to me a few times too with certain devices plugged in. What @DOS76 said fixed it for me.
  6. in lb.next viewing by Publisher isn't at all alphabetized like it is in old LB. Edit: same for Developer and maybe several others
  7. tried playing a N64 game twice (retroarch) in lb.next but couldnt exit game with controller. had to use alt-f4 from my keybaord. worked from stand alone mame game. i use xboxone controller with controller automation select+start buttons to exit games. works fine in old LB Edit: same issue in dolphin and pcsx2 games as well i guess the only reason mame exit works is because i have the same combo keys set in mame to exit games
  8. i was browsing by Arcade platform in LB.Next with keys home/end/pageup/pagedown and got this crash.
  9. Selecting a game in LB.Next has a very dark background image than I have set in my old LB settings. Probably not hooked up for that setting yet I guess.
  10. in my arcade (mame) platform i have Image Type set to screenshots and old LB shows just the gameplay screenshots like i want. in LB.Next it seems i have an assortment of front boxes and screenshots. so it doesn't seem to be honoring that setting from old LB for the platform.
  11. here's a weird bug in LB.Next. i clicked on my Sega Dreamcast platform and right clicked a game and open emulator (demul.exe). demul opened. Closed Demul. Then right clicked the same game and hit Edit and crashed LB.Next. Notice the weird path pcsx2.exe inside demul emulator folder which does not exist at all. I'm using Win 10 1709 btw. Edit: this is repeatable. Edit2: it does this with any game in any platform. always appending that pcsx2 thing Edit3: yes, i have the pcsx2 plugin
  12. i just hit F5 to see if refresh might make the empty game pane on startup appear with games, but doing that crashed LB.Next.
  13. the old LB sorting is fixed for me in beta 4, but launching with it set to ALL platform is still empty in the LB.Next app (old LB is ok). I still have to click on any other platform and then back to ALL for the games to show up in ALL. Edit: it's actually like this for any platform that LB.Next comes up on. I changed to Arcade platform, closed LB.Next, and reopened to a blank empty Arcade platform without even a scrollbar until clicking another platform and back.
  14. I can't find a clear logo for PC game "Dreamfall Chapters - The Final Cut" Much appreciated if someone has one or can make one. Must be the final cut. Thanks!
  15. i think most people overcomplicate this. one of the best choices to me is to just use something like Win 7 or Win 10 with folder shares as your storage server. And if you like to add tons of drives and have the appear as one single drive then installing Windows software called Stablebit DrivePool. I have used all the "nas" boxes and OS's in every way imaginable over the years, but what I usually see happen to people who use the linux/unix storage servers is that they get a bad drive or raid failure one fine day and lose everything. Most people aren't technical linux file system and raid expert savy. The nice thing about using Windows is that everyone is familiar with the OS and file system. It's very easy to just take a drive(s) from a Windows box and put in another system or usb external case if needed. Don't use RAID because it complicates things too much. With Stablebit Drivepool you can easily move any disks to other systems if needed to get data and no raid to deal with. I have seen RAID screw a lot of people. Plus building a regular computer to run Windows as your storage server is also super cheap for the power you can get from cheap parts for such usage. And with such a simple non RAID solution, my answer to backup is really just that, do backup (raid is not backup at all). Just mirror your data to a an external usb drive(s) for backup. You can also take advantage of lots of other services on the Windows file server, like running using it as a print server or a remote desktop server or a number of other things. Your Windows apps are all possible to run on this file server. While I think the linux/unix file servers can be good, I don't think they are good for home users. Just my two cents on this.
  16. agree with @Lordmonkus on this.
  17. hmm, i've only seen memory issues on BB with attract mode and vlc setting. how much ram is installed and how much is free BEFORE you start LB? do you let windows manage your page file size or do you have it set statically?
  18. In LB.Next, every time I start the app, the All platform is empty until I click on another platform and then back to All. Close and reopen LB.Next = same issue again.
  19. oh yeah!!! it won't be possible to mess any of the regular launchbox.exe app settings up if we try the new .next one right? so no risk to existing setup? maybe htat will be part of your next post hopefully
  20. Are you running bigbox or launchbox?
  21. Another option, if you just want windows to shutdown after someone exits from BB, is to just always have an ahk script or some other script running that just loops forever checking if bigbox.exe is running and if it isn't it initiates the shutdown command. Just don't start the script up until after you are sure BB starts up initially. I'm sure there are numerous other ways to do it too.
  22. Few ways to do this easily. You could add a platform called something like "Tools" or "Utilities" or whatever. In that you just add a "game" but it's really just a batch file command to shutdown Windows, like "shutdown.exe /s /t 0" or to force shutdown "shutdown.exe /f /s /t 0" (don't use quotes). Or you could put that "game" batch file anywhere in the wheels you want to. So that's one option.
  23. Glad to report that the scaling issue is now fixed! I was running win 10 1703, so I updated to latest 1709 AND to latest nvidia video driver. No more scaling issues in LB with win 10 set for 4k resolution and 200% scaling. Sweet. Only problem now is the platform and game wheels scroll pretty slow with stuttering, but it was never great in the first place on this box even though it's a pretty strong box.
