  1. @jedigu I appreciate the reply and info! BigBox indeed runs great for me as well! Figuring this out is beyond my knowledge. I've been using Linux and Wine off and on since the early 00s but I'm definitely not a programmer. However I'm totally up for giving any suggestions etc a shot. I did notice as I'm sure you did as well @jedigu that the Steam shortcut url id in Linux is slightly different than in Windows as well. I've mentioned it in this thread though.
  2. Anyone else having luck getting anything to launch? I've mostly been trying Steam games still with no luck
  3. @Lahma glad you figured it out! Like I said this is definitely my most used plugin so your continued hard work is definitely appreciated!
  4. I recently had this issue myself and this fixed it for me.
  5. I'm a Big Box user so getting it to work again would be awesome! I'm always around on Steam @Lahma for help figuring it out and testing
  6. Hey, anyone know what this error means? It happens when trying to import trophies. It worked with older LB releases. Path cannot be the empty string or all whitespace. (Parameter 'path') App: LaunchBox Version: 11.6 Type: System.ArgumentException Site: System.IO.DirectoryInfo GetParent(System.String) Source: System.IO.FileSystem at System.IO.Directory.GetParent(String path) at BBTrophy.TrpLBImportWindow.DoWork() at BBTrophy.TrpLBImportWindow.Start() at System.Threading.Tasks.Task.<>c.<ThrowAsync>b__139_0(Object state) at System.Windows.Threading.ExceptionWrapper.InternalRealCall(Delegate callback, Object args, Int32 numArgs) at System.Windows.Threading.ExceptionWrapper.TryCatchWhen(Object source, Delegate callback, Object args, Int32 numArgs, Delegate catchHandler) Recent Log: 8:22:09 PM Exception I know @jayjay hasn't been on in quite awhile so figured someone could shine some light on this error. Guessing it's something to do with the move .net?
  7. Damn that's a shame. I haven't personally used the emulator but still sad he passed away 😟
  8. @LahmaThanks for fixing it. Really looking forward to using it again! I've played around with LB in Linux a few times but there is an issue with it not launching anything atm at least me and a few other users can't figure it out. Besides that though it runs fine it seems.
  9. Ok I figured it out I should've known what the issue was being an LB user for a long time now. I forgot about the backgrounds options. I unchecked everything except fanart backgrounds. Maybe this can help someone in the future.
  10. @jedigu Awesome, I've used Mint a lot off and on since the early days. Actually started using Ubuntu when it was like version 7.04 lol. I've tried many Arch based distros including Arch itself but still prefer Debian/Ubuntu distros. Something about apt I always enjoyed.
  11. @jedigu That's a shame I appreciate you trying though. What distro do you use out of curiosity?
  12. Sweet! Thanks @Jason Carr for continuing with this!! @jedigu You tried launching any Steam games or any other games? I haven't tried myself yet as I'm not currently booted into a Linux distro.
  13. Love this theme! But I have a strange problem that might not be related to the theme. For some reason it just shows the cover art blown up. It does this for all other games as well even though I do have fanart any help would be much appreciated!
  14. Very cool, keep up the great work!
  15. Thanks! I might just wait and see if @Jason Carr adds it to the script. For now I'm still trying to figure out how to get Steam games to launch.
  16. @bombatomba77 that's a pretty good idea! I haven't used staging in forever! Is there anything special we have to do after installing it? I Ubuntu/Debian based distros myself. Using Pop OS atm.
  17. Thanks @jedigu Hopefully we can figure out how to get things to launch soon
  18. @Jason Carr Np glad to be helping! Take your time @jedigu Thanks for such a detailed post! Posts like yours will definitely help! Regarding the registry edit how did you put in the dot character?
  19. Doing some testing finally. Atm just testing launching Steam games. I had to manually changed the Steam id shortcut ie steam steam://rungameid/612880 I get a "application path not found" I tried changing the path to the desktop shortcut and get a similar error "file not found" I haven't tried any emulators yet. Maybe I'll try the exe file (this is a Windows game that runs perfectly via Proton). Any suggestions would be great as I'm really into getting this working Same error with PCSX2 (Linux version) also trying to launching PCSX2 from the right click menu gives me a "invalid OS platform error" hope these are helping.
  20. @Jason Carr that worked thanks! LB is installed and launching now
  21. Right before it attempts to run the LB installer I get the rundll32 error then the http error. I wiped the LB folder and am trying again. I don't want to clog this thread with these issues. But I'll edit this post and report back. If you have time please check back in 15-20 minutes. *Edit* yeah, still getting those same errors. Not sure what it could be. It installed fine in Mint 20 and Kde Neon.
  22. Running Pop OS atm and keep getting these two errors one is an error saying "rundll32.exe this application could not be started"and the other is when it attempts to install LB I get a pop up when its trying to install VB 2015 saying "unsupported protocol only http and ftp protocols are supported" I know this is more of a Linux/Wine issue I'm sure it has nothing to do with LB. I wanted to do some more testing on the new release. It installed just fine on Linux Mint however.
  23. Thanks @Jason Carr! Glad you aren't giving up on this because of lack of posts. I'll let people I know who use Linux about it. Will also give the new release a try!
  24. I also had the same issues as you @jedigu especially with PCSX2, so I'm glad I wasn't the only one. @Jason Carr take your time man. Anything I can do to help I'd be glad to. I mainly run Ubuntu and Debian based distros. I'm no programmer but am happy to do any testing! Wish more people would be post in this thread.
