  1. I'm jealous Sundogak. I really want to get a Synology NAS setup myself...even a 24TB usable 1-drive parity set up would be amazing. (x4 8TB). I feel so small scale despite my collection, as it only fills up an 8TB external HDD.
  2. @cammelspit Thanks... What does it look like when you have a drive failure with that many drives you're bound to have them more often... so what does it take for you to repair/tecover your "giant drive" without a hassle? Is there is a performance hit too?
  3. I will be building up to a 4-port Synology NAS solution in the new few months, planning on x4 8TB drives, running paritiy 1, so 24TB space total. I hope I can afford it, haha.
  4. You think real-time compression formats like .GZ (ps2) and .GC (gamecube) would benefit greatly, over say, just a large .ISO?
  5. Leaving side caching the images folder/cache + manuals + videos on a SSD, which obviously do help, do any platforms/games actually benefit greatly from SSD? I can't put them all on SSD, most will be set up on a 4TB SATA USB 3.0 drive, but have about 200GB SSD I can install certain emulators/game sets on...which ones will I see the most gains from? Thanks.
  6. Here it is...normal view in BigBox...every other Platform shows up...
  7. Yes and they work fine, it's just invisible in BigBox.
  8. I have it listed in LB under Aracde Platform Category, in Platform: Teknoparrot arcade, even downloaded a video for it (generic arcade one for now) with the download platforms option, but when I browse BigBox it's not there. How can I fix this? Thanks in advance?
  9. That works, more or less.. I described in following posts, that copying every folder (my media and games, etc) works fine in new folder....until I copy that CEFSharp folder....on top of that, some Playlists and Platforms corrupted XMLS...not sure what caused it ?
  10. I remember this used to be an option in oolder builds...for some reason this is crashing my Launchbox with a VLC error quite often, so I would rather disable it, but I can't find that option in 9.9 Anyone?
  11. After copying over some platform and playlist XML from my original image of this drive, it opens and mostly seems fine, except I keep crashing with this: UGH...any ideas? I open VLC in the Launchbox x64 folder and it wants to update...I said NO...should I let it update to that place? This is the error, I'm getting in full: Can't create a Vlc instence, check your Vlc options. App: LaunchBox Version: 9.9 Type: Meta.Vlc.VlcCreateFailException Site: Void .ctor(System.String[], Boolean) Source: Unbroken.LaunchBox at Meta.Vlc.Vlc..ctor(String[] argv, Boolean music) at () at Meta.Vlc.Wpf.ApiManager.get_DefaultVlc() at (VlcPlayer , String , String[] ) at Meta.Vlc.Wpf.VlcPlayer.Initialize(String libVlcPath, String[] libVlcOption) at (VlcPlayer , EventArgs ) at Meta.Vlc.Wpf.VlcPlayer.OnInitialized(EventArgs e) at System.Windows.FrameworkElement.TryFireInitialized() at System.Windows.FrameworkElement.AddLogicalChild(Object child) at System.Windows.Controls.UIElementCollection.AddInternal(UIElement element) at Unbroken.LaunchBox.Desktop.Controls.VideoControl.<.ctor>b__8_0() at System.Windows.Threading.ExceptionWrapper.InternalRealCall(Delegate callback, Object args, Int32 numArgs) at System.Windows.Threading.ExceptionWrapper.TryCatchWhen(Object source, Delegate callback, Object args, Int32 numArgs, Delegate catchHandler) Recent Log: 7:51:16 PM Music.Prepare Start 7:51:16 PM Music.Kill Start 7:51:16 PM Music.Kill Finished 7:51:16 PM Music.NotifyTrackList Start 7:51:16 PM Music.NotifyTrackList Invoke WPF 7:53:00 PM Music.Play Start 7:53:00 PM Music.Kill Start 7:53:00 PM Music.Kill Finished 7:53:00 PM Music.Play Empty Music Path 7:53:00 PM Music.NotifyTrackList Start 7:53:00 PM Music.NotifyTrackList Invoke WPF 7:53:00 PM Exception
  12. I copied over all except CEFSHARP and now I get this error on the second drive trying to open it
  13. The one crashing it was CEFSHARP...the two folders are identical except I have a folder in my working one named with Asian characters..could that be doing it?
  14. By creating the same folder on the drive, renaming the old one to something else first, I got it working...the issue happens when I copy/move over the folder to the new LAunchbox folder I installed into called CDRDAO and CefSharp...WTF do they do? I started the drive without those and they seem to recreate them just fine...is this going to change my collection between the two drives? Any help appreciate @Jason Carr - it may be resolved now, just want to check....
  15. I installed .net framework 4.8 on this system, verified LB does reinstall on drive fully, but then crashes immediately upon trying to open...ran scandisk on drive, it does fix errors...but same issue, it simply won't open. ?
  16. I'm connecting a copy of my main drive to a second system of mine, and it won't open, I get an error. I tried reinstalling LB over the same folder, something I've done many times in the past on this drive (using latest 9.9) and after the D3D prompt comes up, it gives an error and won't finish install...this is from Eventvwr: Faulting application name: LaunchBox.exe, version: 9.9.0.0, time stamp: 0x5cfac042 Faulting module name: KERNELBASE.dll, version: 10.0.17763.592, time stamp: 0xaee8f822 Exception code: 0xe0434352 Fault offset: 0x0000000000039129 Faulting process id: 0x858 Faulting application start time: 0x01d5298858a05efb Faulting application path: L:\LaunchBox\LaunchBox.exe Faulting module path: C:\WINDOWS\System32\KERNELBASE.dll Report Id: 69f85e85-34ce-4dc2-af9b-593d4bd7f32e Faulting package full name: Faulting package-relative application ID: Any idea what else I can try?
  17. Yes, that would likely work way better...just anything that makes it possible to not have to REPLACE the entire line for all selected games everything I want to add or remove 1 or more genres...my genre lists are pretty details, like: Action; Platform; 2D Platform, etc... So I won't have to keep notepad open on the side anymore with my entire Genre strings copy/pasted there, lol
  18. Wow man that is AWESOME! Thanks for doing that! Any chance you can do something about the lack of genre/publisher mass editing? Especially genre... For example, being able to add a genre to all games in a playlist without replacing the entire field each time? Ex: let's say I want to add "2D fighting" to various fighting games through ctrl+A selecting, edit....but without having to typing my entire genre list of Action; Fighting; 2D fighting each time...? The reverse to, being able to remove one of those entries for multiple games (Ex some have "2D", or other genres I don't want from importing them), but don't want to clear it all, etc... ?
  19. That's awesome, thanks...will be nice when the user friendlier version is updated in LB, but this is a great work-around in the meantime!
  20. Oh wow, that is such a pain, LOL...I'll wait for an update to do this via LB, thanks anyways!!
  21. Thanks! In the meantime, which XML can I edit this number to 0 on a specific game/list at? I see a lot in the LB folder but I can't see to find PLAY COUNT in any of them.
  22. @Jason Carr - would this be easy to implement? Even like LAST PLAYED is, where you can clear them out via EDIT ALL, etc...
  23. I'm gifting a FREE (unregistered) COPY of my LB collection to my nephew, and I want the MOST played count to be reset on his collection...I see a last played to clear, but not MOST...
  24. Unlike Dreamcast and Naomi platforms, pressing ESC does nothing...no AHK script works either...anyone able to exit Atomiswave using Demul? What is the trick?
  25. Okay this is annoying...any PAUSE that I do in Retroarch works fine, I can open manuals too...which is really cool, press ESC and it exits, but then when I choose RESUME game, the game is closed, presumably because I pressed ESC to close the manual before that....what is the best way to resolve this so that ESC on the manual doesn't close the game in Retroarch??
