CoverBox 2.0 is here! Every theme has now been merged into 1, therefore this version only works in LaunchBox 9.4 and above. Combined every theme into 1 CoverBox theme. Install once and have access to them all! Theme now uses the newly integrated horizontal text scrolling control and find string converter. New Arcade view has been added to the theme. Added a main Platform and Text Games View based on GCFE. Every font has been integrated into the Theme. No more need to install them separately.

That's a cool idea. Unfortunately, that's not the direction I went with for 2.0

Happy to say that I have just finished coding CoverBox 2.0. Had to make some tough choices of which options got into the base theme, but I ended up using the ones that the game details page work with, and which ones I was enjoying using. I'm thinking of adding the others as alternate views, but that will delay the release of the theme a bit.

Yes, I don't think those 2 themes converted the styles properly. Currently, I'm working on combining all the themes into one, but it's a lot of manual changes to each theme, so it's going to take some time. Once complete, it should fix any issue any individual theme would have had with the update. PSP is definitely an option for the future.

Hi @qu1r0s. Make sure Platform Background videos are turned off. Let me know if that fixes it for you.

Yes. I asked myself the same question when I was developing retrotastic, but in the end couldn't find a solution to delaying the loading of a video. Someone would have to develop a custom plugin for that, or it would need to be built into Bigbox. I did read somewhere that using collapsed visibility makes it so it doesn't render the control, but I have no idea whether that would translate to better performance.

You could try to set the video's visibility to collapsed, and then animate it to visible after a certain number of seconds.

Hi @bedrone. That looks nice. Was it hard to mod? You could try Vertigo, the vertical theme I created back in September. I wouldn't mind seeing how well it functions in a vertical cab.

Hey @Jason Carr. Tried this out tonight with Beta 9. Unfortunately, unable to get the FIndStringConverter to work. It's unable to find FindStringConverter. It only seems to be able to find the ImageToSourceConverter in the namespace.

Hi @efiye. Are you using a beta build? There may be issues with them as the theming system is getting adjusted.

The theme showcases an arcade cabinet in an 80s style arcade with a dynamic marquee that can pull from a number of fallback images on a per-game basis, making sure there's always something displayed in the marquee. There's no way to delay it's start, but you could possibly combine a collapsed visibility animation with an opacity animation to stop it from appearing for a certain amount of time.
