Wrong again. The wheel spacing doesn't seem to make much of a difference.

Basically, it's just not cacheing game images properly that are used by the wheel. Sometimes all the game images for a platform/collection will appear, other times non appear, and once in a while some appear. The only way to get them to load if they're not appearing is to scroll through the wheel until all the images are populated.

Has anything changed recently with the way images are cached?

I feel a bit stupid. I just realized that multiple people in this thread are saying the same thing I am. Sorry. I guess I'll just say I'm having the same wheel image issues they are.

Alright, so it doesn't have to do with "Custom Wheel Images." The issue is if there isn't enough space between images that the wheel is using, the images will disappear some of the time and not load again until you start scrolling through the wheel.

    Hi,

Not sure when this started, but it may be the latest beta. When you use, "Custom Wheel Images" in a theme, it doesn't look like Bigbox is cacheing those images properly. So if you open the games view, it won't cache any images unless you start scrolling through your games. Also, once the images are cached, if you exit the games view and go back in, sometimes the images are all, or mostly gone.

    Thanks

  5. Hi @Jason Carr,

I'm not sure if this is something that has been brought to your attention already, or if it happened with this beta, but the Boxes view no longer shows game boxes.

You can test this using Grilla's switch theme. It will load everything except the boxes (box front artwork). You just see a thin gray rectangle where the boxes should be shown.

    Thanks.

  6. I noticed that I'm getting this error if I switch to the theme Colorful from any other theme that I'm using. This started happening when I started using 11.3.

It does load the theme and go away once you select ok.

Windows does not appear to be blocking anything since the plugin is loaded and works. I also disabled Windows Defender, which is my only antivirus.

The first 10.16 beta will most likely be out this week. It's just that we've been working on some big features that take more development time than usual.

Oh yeah? What did you say those features were again? ;)

  8. Hi,

Does anyone know why when using the pause menu with some emulators, when you exit the game you'll see the game for about 0.25 seconds or less before the exit screen comes up. Or, if you're not using an exit screen, the game will still show for about 0.25 seconds or less before it closes.

It's odd because when I remote into my system with the issue, using Parsec or Google Remote Desktop, I don't see the game when exiting. It just has a nice transition where it fades from the pause menu to the exit menu. The computer that I'm remoting from is the same resolution as the computer with the issue.

All drivers are up to date.

    Any ideas?

  9. Hi,

Is there a way to use a default image with the new, wheel - custom image type? I know you can do this when using one of the standard wheel image types.

Example -- If your wheel image type is, "Clear Logo" and you don't have a clear logo for a specific game, you can put a default image that will be used for every game that doesn't have one on a per platform basis. It would be located at Lauchbox/Images/Platforms/Platform Name/Default Clear Logo.

    Thanks.

Unfortunately, no. That's not an option in BigBox.

The About page is about the program and developer. It's totally appropriate for Jason to have that content there. Ok I really didn't want to comment on this issue, but people just need to be more accepting of one another, and we all have the ability and personal obligation to filter out from the world what is important to us.

I think your response is about perfect.

You're reading my mind. This is part of the current plans for the export process, though it's not currently color-coded.

I will let everyone in this thread know when a beta version of the app is available on the Play store. :)

Music Box Alpha's progress is not nonexistent. In the last year, we've added metadata editing (a big job), CD ripping (a big job), three different music playback engines (a big job), Fanart.tv support (a big job), and a whole bunch of other, smaller things. You're barking up a nonexistent tree with useless negativity.

It's not a matter of being rude, or how "nicely" you complain. You're complaining about things that are beyond your understanding, and just spreading toxic negativity here. Nothing you've said is helpful, and again I would ask that you stop. I could explain to you many things in more detail, but I have a feeling it would just fall on deaf ears.

The first version will be more like LaunchBox than Big Box, but we'll definitely be adding Big Box-like views and features soon after. On Android it will all be contained in one app.

Early on, it will be available for $5. All licenses will be forever-updates licenses on Android, no subscription model. Later on, once it's more fully-featured, we may up the price to $10.

That seems like a really smart price point.
