To have just one background displayed I would assume you must have only that art in the folder for the corresponding system....not totally sure bud bc I'm not near it but I would try making a backup folder inside that root and backing everything up....then just have 1 picture in there and test it out. I don't know what to edit if you are making a theme, but the replacing method if you want them to be replaced for yourself.
