Non-installed Steam/GOG Galaxy/Origin games import feature

Awesome, good to hear guys. I'm gonna rush out an official update to fix that bug either tonight or tomorrow. The "Windows" import is a bit of a misnomer, as the intent is just to import all games that are *installed* into Windows, no matter the platform. So that includes all GOG games. Just not sure what else to call it.

Hello, all, I'm new here I've recently got to know this incredible software and I'm very happy so far. Thank you Jason, and thanks for improving these import features, Steam import and Installed games import have both worked fine for me. I still have the issue of a GOG collection too big to install or manually add. I wonder if something could be implemented to make use of http://isthereanydeal.com/ data export features? The website already synchronizes Steam games natively and trough a Greasemonkey script can import from multiple digital game stores including GOG (pending bug fix right now) - https://github.com/ssokolow/itad_importer .

I think I might have not made clear, but http://isthereanydeal.com/ not only is a deal seeker, but actually has a collection manager (which serves as a base for the deals you don't need since you already own those games). The collection can be synchronized with a user's steam ID and the games purchased in other digital stores can be imported to http://isthereanydeal.com/ through the Greasemonkey script. I was thinking on the grounds of LaunchBox being able to import the CSV/TSV/JSON file generated by http://isthereanydeal.com/ data export so that it could be fed with its game list. Since there is already the mentioned script solution to basically centralize most of a user's PC collection at the website, I thought it would make sense to make use of its unified game list. Surely is an extra step since a user must use ITAD in the first place, but I think there is fair share of PC gamers who already do and it still is the only website I know which can integrate so many digital store purchases into a single collection without manual addition. Being able to directly retrieve the game lists from each store would most likely be better, but I suggest this in the hope that the data exported by ITAD can be a useful replacement for the seemingly difficult issue of importing games from a GOG library (and possibly other non-steam digital stores). Of course this wouldn't help with the Launch part of LaunchBox, but I'm looking for a way to better organize my gaming catalog with the help of LaunchBox features, even if I have to go GOG Galaxy to actually play the game for now.

Hey Jason, have you looked at isthereanydeal already? Have you got plans to implement Non-installed games/GOG collection import? It would be nice to have a ultimate launcher for whole collection with option to sort all of it by genre (steam tags). EDIT: I can't see such an idea on https://bitbucket.org/jasondavidcarr/launchbox/issues?status=new&status=open :(

You can already import GOG games through importing Windows games. Right now there is no easy way to import GOG games, there is no dedicated importer. Also what do you mean by non installed games? If you mean make a scan for uninstalled games, that wont come. How do you scan what you don't have? As far as manually adding them, you can do this. Bottom right there is an Add button, you can do it there. Its also there under Game -> Add, Ctrl + N works and if you right click in your library its at the bottom. If you have 1 or 2 GOG games you can also do the Add method and just manually point to it as well.

There is cool possibility in Launchbox to import whole Steam collection, both installed and non-installed games. So if I want to play racing game I can quick arrange my enitre backlog by "racing" genre. It's superb feature which even Steam client is missing. I have over 200 games on GOG. I want to be able to import them without need to install all of them. I know, that GOG has no public profiles yet, but in mentioned service isthereanydeal.com I was able to import my GOG collection easly with https://github.com/ssokolow/itad_importer. I assume tht there are more people who want this feature. Btw do you have any wishlist poll, when I can vote for requests?

Hi @marcowy, @SentaiBrad, a quick glance at that looks like it's just scraping web pages to come up with the games lists. That's a step in the right direction, but then we still have no way to find the games on the hard drive, so it's still unfortunately not really possible to magically import your entire uninstalled GOG collection. Per the poll for features, you can now vote on the Bitbucket issues list. I develop straight off of that list, and I will definitely take items with higher votes as priority.
