JaysArcade
A quick presentation of my current jukebox platform in BigBox. Platform utilizes the new multi-rom/app settings available in the latest Launchbox 7.7 betas. This Platform would be much nicer if the apps were able to launch directly from the top level navigation in BigBox, but I'll take what I can get. Video - I custom recorded the Hyperspin Jukebox theme. PM me if interested in obtaining a copy of the vid. Retro Jukebox - http://arcademy.fr/retro-jukebox.html Website is in French. Click Telecharger button to download or translate page to English in Google Chrome and click download. Seriously the best Jukebox software I can find (and I've been around a while). Operates slightly slowly to flip pages, but emulates a real jukebox more closely than anything else I've seen and super easy to set up if your music files are organized properly. Silverjuke - https://www.silverjuke.net/en/ Esc key to abort Silverjuke - EscAborts.dll - https://forum.silverjuke.net/viewtopi... Place file next to Silverjuke.exe in Silverjuke folder. Jukebox Arcade - http://www.extrastrength.com/ - but more specifically can be found by searching for Jukebox Arcade on the Windows Store. Have fun and let me know what you think!
kmoney
Looks really nice!! I have not thought before of adding jukebox to my arcade cabinet but that Retro Jukebox program looks very enticing. Anthrax = great music!!

Saw them play once in Seattle in the late 80s. Got caught in the mosh, LOL.
Maddoc1007
@jaythompson Looks really great, just a question does the Retro Jukebox read the artwork if it is embedded in the mp3.
JaysArcade
Yes it does. And it reads folder.jpgs as well. Below is the setup screen. I find it crazy (yet awesome for us) that the install was in French but everything inside is in English. Not sure why that is but I'm not complaining.

andyco47
is there a way to make it full screen 16:9 in retro jukebox. Edited February 25, 2017 by andyco47
JaysArcade
As far as I know, I don't think so. There might be a way to force 16x9 with a third party utility or you could maybe make a bezel to use with Rocketlauncher. I haven't really looked into it but its something I might look into in the future.

JaysArcade
I know a lot of people use it but Ive never had any luck getting dwjukebox to work very well in my set up. Your reply prompted me to create a bezel to use with Retro-Jukebox and Rocketlauncher. I couldn't find a way to force 16x9 unfortunately. Check it out. The link to download the Rocketlauncher fade and bezel is on the Youtube page. Edited February 27, 2017 by jaythompson
JaysArcade
Hey guys, will you consider voting for my bitbucket ticket regarding launching the Jukebox from the top menu in BigBox? I explain it all in this post. Thanks!
NJDave71
when it comes to jukebox software it can be complex or simple. i have tried various free and never had any luck either. I would like to somehow import the albums in like ROMS and you view by Artist, Album, Song, Genre, Year You use the search Engine to find your songs. add them to a queue or play them instantaneously. could be standalone or plays in the background of your UI. is this something worth having?? Si280
Has anyone tried to run SKJukebox - i want to move to LaunchBox from HyperSpin however my box has physical buttons for SK jukebox - it would be a show stopper for me. So 2 questions, can i use it in LB, or Bigbox, and also, has anyone had any success doing it? Other option at this stage is maxiums... JaysArcade
I've never had good luck with SKJuke personally but I know a lot of people use it, and having built my own cab, can certainly understand your buttons dilemma. If you can get SKJuke configured and running outside Launchbox, there is no reason you can't run it through Launchbox. Just set it up as a Windows app and point it to the SKJukebox executable file. You might need to research to see if there are any special commands that need to be run with it such as -fullscreen etc, but I see no reason it wouldn't work. If you absolutely can't figure it out, send me a PM and I'll see what I can find out to help you get it running.
LogicalEgo
I thought about something like this before but I just use Attract Mode in BB to listen to some tunes while I clean, plus the cats like watching all the flashy stuff.
