Alternative Game Gear emulators?

Hello hello.

Im in the midst of checking that all my Game gear roms work, And so far i have 6 games in which i can't find an emulator that will boot them (I'm mr perfect and i need all of them to work)

Been trying Mednafen (my primary emulator for gg), Higan, Retroarch and Keega fusion, All of them boots them in a buggy and unplayable state.

Are any aware of some alternatives for gg?.

Yep.

Castle of illusion starring mickey mouse, Chase H.Q, Crystal warriors +3 more (they're having the same problem)

It boots up with a "red sega logo" and especially castle of illusion is a big mess.

maybe there's some setting i have to change in the emulator?

I dont even have those first 2 for game gear, and crystal warriors works just fine with the genesis gx core in retroarch.

Chase HQ works fine in Retroarch with the Genesis GX core as well, I can't see Mickey Mouse having emulation problems either, at this stage I'm suspecting you have bad roms.

Came here to say the same. You probably have bad roms. It's happened to me before. The games you mentioned work fine on my setup.

yeah found a substitute for Crystal warriors and made it work (that was probably a bad dump)

Still can't get Chase H.Q and Castle of illusion to work though (Tried some different versions or maybe they wer'e the same?).

Is there a good way to determine whether your rom dumps are corrupt or not?

I just tried all six of the games with the Genesis Plus GX core in RetroArch, and they all work perfectly. You have bad roms. Get the No-Intro set and you won't have any issues.

Ah i see, So the no-intro roms are the ones to go for.

@ModerateNOOB It's not so much that they are the ones to get, but rather getting a no-intro from a site known to house good working roms. You can easily grab a no-intro from some random site and it be junk. 

We typically do not direct/name rom sites on the forum due to those little legal concerns.

Also we recommend the no intro sets as they are all known working roms, unlike the set you were using by the looks of it, but i have the no intro set for GG and i dont have the mickey mouse game and chase hq in it like you mentioned previously.

That's fine, I know it's a grey area.

I wasn't looking for any links either, It was more that how do you recognise no-intro roms?

Typically it says it. Something like (No-Intro) NES.

also we do allow naming of ROM sites now just no linking as to where you can get no intro I'm not sure now that Pleasuredome took theirs down maybe Archive.org has them

Thank's for mentioning Archive.org, Found what i was looking for.

Just a little surprised that only retroarch with the genesis core seems to run them.
