I've no idea why Google Drive does this. If anyone knows a way to prevent this from happening let me know and I will re-upload the files.

Is that definitely Google doing that and not Launchbox? I've just looked in the .7z file that Haggie shared. I'd downloaded it and put it on my NAS and it shows correctly in there...

Yes nothing to do with Launchbox. It's the images it seems to have renamed and if the image is not named the same as the .gam file they will not show.

I have actually installed Google drive on my win 10 pc just to see if there is another way to download without zipping but couldn't find a way :(

Another thing you may be able to help with Haggie is how to change the dot matrix panels on the machines back to standard colour. Many of the machines are displaying yellow instead of blue or green. Anyone know what setting?

Has anyone else come across this type of error?

This is happening for a few games and the addresses change slighty, this error was for Monopoly Hot Property.   The game runs fine when ran through MFME but I get the errors when it's being launched through Launchbix for some reason.   I've tried adding MFME as an exception in DEP and deleting and re-scanning the DB but neither had any effect.

A little update is that it appears to be something to do with the backdrops as when I enable "random backdrops" it breaks a lot more games 😂 

Also choosing anything other than fullscreen in load mode and they work as well so i'm guessing if i can figure out how to change the monitor size from the defaults of 1538 x 864 i may be able to get them all working.

I have a solution but can't quite execute it lol

So I have to load the game in borderless and then press F3 for it to go fullscreen.

Now I am using a script in the running section in the emulator but am struggling to get something like,

#IfWinActive, %MFMEWindow%
F3:: ; Press F3 key
Send, {F3}
return

added to it and working for it to go fullscreen after it closes the splash screen and notes.

Heres @fruity script that im trying to add it too.

In case anyone is interested to easily import these games to LB, I created a AHK scripts (and generator) to easily double-click and run. And you can simply import these AHK files directly to your Launchbox without having to import them one by one! Requires AHKv2.

Thx, I downloaded this (renamed images to match game title) then zipped each game folder and wrote this ahk script to unzip/launch them.
To use this with LaunchBox just add a new emulator with
appPath = ThirdParty\AutoHotkey\AutoHotkey.exe

and if using Startup Screen a delay of 8 seconds

Your code looks really good. I'm not great at AHK so always interested in reading new code. But just wondered what the benefit of this was? Is it just so that you can keep each game zipped together so it's neat or is there another benefit I'm not understanding? Thanks for sharing the code :)

Mainly so each game is a single file analogous to a rom, I use this for dos and other multifile games as well.  There are other reasons too, as I keep all game media in a single game folder with game.zip, then symlink to media from LB, but that's a longish story, which I hope to tell by releasing the tool one day that will simplify everything.


BTW I created another ahk that runs the game, waits a minute then screenshots, then video records 21s while playing it. A batch file loops through all zips playing/capturing every game. It's half way there (up to Gold Mine (Empire)). I'll re-share when done, if you like, but it's ≈ 15gb. One issue though is GameBar screenshotting just stops working after a few hours for unknown reasons, I've tried fixes but only a reboot works, but your screenshots are fine anyway, and I could use ffmpeg to extract a frame from each video if I had to.

I could only find one clear logo pack someone had made, seemed OK but having massaged them in, ran BigBox but they were barely readable due to colour/font choice :( Must be some tool to auto-generate them. Would be nice to maybe use the screenshot shrink + outlined white text over it. As a coder if I can't automate it, I avoid doing it!

I also wonder if there exists any 'Arcade - Cabinet' images of the actual real world machines which would be nice in BB.
