fuzzman34
I have just updated to 210 and for the most part my MAME roms are running just fine in fact I think some others are working that were not. But before the update I somehow had my NEO GEO games working in MAME and now they are not. Do I need to have or update the bios? If so how do I do that? Lordmonkus
I don't see anything in the 210 update log about NeoGeo changes so there shouldn't any need to update the roms for it. The only mention of NeoGeo is for the NeoGeo CD. Are your NeoGeo games in their own platform and did you change your emulator entry breaking it ? fuzzman34
Im not sure how i got them to work the first time. They just did. However this time i added there directory location in mame and its pointing to the files but still says it doesnt work for this system. Even though the zip files work when i play them in neogeorage emulator.

Retro808
@cataclysm67 I edited your post and removed the NeoGeo bios file. IP files such as roms and system bios should not be shared or linked to in forum posts.

When you say updated to 0.210 what exactly do you mean? Did you update your romset, or download a whole new 0.210? Or did you just download the new emulator version and are trying to use old roms with it? If you have a full romset for 0.210 you should have the bios files also. fuzzman34
Ok current situation is this. I downloaded a 95gb 2016 romset. I thought it said the bios were in there as well but I am finding out that is not true. Only 3K games actually work in launchbox at the moment. I assume I have to find the bios now and download them and hopefully more games will work. I hope this doesnt mean that I have to redownload all my mame games again into Launchbox cause that took 10 hours to complete and I only have 3k games. So Im a little annoyed by that. The other thing that I am having issues with now is my Xarcade Tankstick. The trackball and red coin light are not working in Launchbox even though they work on outside of it. I have paid for Bigbox and that is not working perfectly with my tankstick. I think it maybe a firmware issue so I need to check that out. To sum up. Tankstick trackball and red button dont work in Launchbox 95GB romset only gave me 3k working games I do not have the bios for all of machines. Ill need to download those. My fullset import of a 0.210 set is 2845 games, as if you leave settings at default when importing it only imports the games that actually work. fuzzman34
It sucks cause its such a waste of space. I had gotten roms from a friend and had more games than this. Im more annoyed that marvel v capcom games arent working.
sundogak
@fuzzman34 you might look at this site since goes into detail on each game as if it is working, as well as which ROM sets are needed (no ROMs on the site). For example, Marvel vs Capcom is a working game (and works in my set). Good for spot checking to see if ROM set has some issues. Otherwise, the ROM Manager route is needed to validate/check a set and see which files are missing. On the number of games issue, LB aggregates the clones/regions, so like neil9000 said ~3,000 working games will be counted/shown on a normal MAME import within LB excluding the non-arcade stuff. Once you import into LB, if you right-click a game entry, it will show the other associated games. So for example, the Marvel vs Capcom game has 10 other entries. Going into MAME directly, with a 210 set, the number of working games is ~13,000 inclusive of hacks, clones, regions, and the zillion casino games, etc. LB just rolls them up, but you don't have to do it that way if actually want to see entries separately rather than merged like below.
