Samee8 Posted September 22, 2019 Share Posted September 22, 2019 Any time I try pressing a game on launchbox it says initializing and for some games it goes into machine loading up to about 50% then just closes. The tab just closes there is no error, I was previously having a problem where it said fatal error required files are missing the machine cannot be run. However, the problem has changed to not showing anything. The games also do not work on MAME itself. I've looked through different forums about the same question, but their solutions weren't working for me. I've tried editing the rom path on mame.ini. Thanks, for any help. Those are not Arcade roms you have there, they are software lists roms for old computer systems and consoles. Mame needs specific commandlines for each system there to actually work, those are all old systems and not Arcade games at all. Quote Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...

I was watching a Youtube tutorial and he didn't provide a link he just said to search it up on internet archives so i wasn't sure if it was the right one. Also should I just delete all those files inside my rom file then if they're of no use. And sorry for not realizing that mb. DOS76 Posted September 22, 2019 Share Posted September 22, 2019 Search pleasuredome roms in Google and then you are looking for the MAME 02.13 ROMs it comes in 3 flavors split merged or non-merged. Split is where all parents and clones are separate files. Merged is where all parents and clones are contained in the same file. Non-Merged which is the largest set has all parents and clones separate like split but all the clones also contain the parents thus making up the increased file. For example if a ROM has many clones then the clone rom archives will all contain that same parent.
