Custom default Image for games without image.

Hi! i would like to know if is there an easy way to use a default 2D Box/flyer image for all games without image. I know i could create multiples copies of this image with the name of each game, but this would be a waste of time and disk space.

The best would be to use an image named something like _Default.png and that's it!

An example:

LB allows you to use a default image for a few image options like Box, 3D box, Cart and 3D Cart. Just right click on the platform name. Then in the right part of the window with the game images click to add a new image and then choose the default option you want. Then add the image.

Also there is this.

Thank you very much!

All the consoles has at least 2D Box complete, so i will need it better for computer platforms.

But it's a very interesting link. ;)

By the way, the LaunchBox Games Database has boxart (2D and 3D) for Aggressor and Air Supremacy. You may find this box cover a bit better than the database's current one.

It was just an example, but thanks! ;)

I like what you have done. Just a suggestion, but underneith the system picture how about adding the wording "Box Art not available"

Thanks!

I understand what you mean, but i personally prefer to keep it as simple as possible.

Is easy to identify this kind of  "flat" covers means "Box Art not available", but anyone can modify and add it very easy.

This is the aspect it has if using this covers:

Resurrecting an old thread here - I can get this to work in BigBox just fine but not in regular Launchbox.

Is it possible? I am perhaps missing a check box somewhere? TIA.

Do you mean you can't see the default box in LB?

Yes ci2own, that's exactly what I mean.

Run Big Box and I can see the default (3d box) image I've entered (via Tools/Manage/Platforms...) for ROMs without images, run Launchbox and it simply doesn't appear.

You should be able to see them after Right Click on the Platform > Edit > Press "+" button on the Images Tab and add the box. Then select it as de Default 2D/3D, etc.

Also check what c-beats told you before.
