This start all emulators existent 🤷♀️ Attract Mode, as I'm calling it, is in BigBox where you set it up under System Menu < Options < Attract Mode < Enable Attract Mode. I'm not aware of any other available in LaunchBox/BigBox. If you're asking to have a LaunchBox plugin work inside a different frontend (i.e. Attract-Mode [I had to Google it to see what it was]), that's impossible. You would need to write a new plugin specific for that particular frontend. If that frontend can even have plugins created for it. 1 Quote

It would be wonderful if your beautiful app could support and work on this front-end as well. It should be easy to adapt. The programmer Chadmando's created a wonderful app for Launchbox and i talked with him if possible adapt to work in attractmode i introduce he to attractmode and he created a plugin to support attract-mode as well. He did it in a short time. From what I saw, it was really fast. If you take a look, I would be eternally grateful. I and the entire front-end community, which I even invite you to participate in https://discord.gg/TvHwaueb can even help you if you have any questions ^^ PLEASE give a chance to you adapt your amazing app(plugin) in this other front-end. Yeah, the problem is I don't use nor have a need to use that frontend. I only have one arcade cabinet, so only need one frontend. So, no interest in volunteering my personal time like I do here, creating a plugin for something I don't use. 1 Quote

Yes, ok, I understand, but it could be modified to be used independently of the frontend as well, for example, you could configure your app so that when you open MAME or any other emulator it runs automatically, understand? Then it could be used in Launchbox or any other front-end or even just with the pure emulator without front-end, when you open emulator X or Y it automatically runs like JoyTockey does, which works alone when you open MAME.exe or any emulator already configured in it. To do what you're asking, it would have to be near-completely rewritten. Which would be quite major and isn't going to happen. For your other frontend, what you want is something universal/independent like RocketLauncher or Reshade. Both already exist, have been around for a while, are stand-alone apps (like how you described JoyToKey) and people say they work. 1 hour ago, gamesmame said: you could configure your app so that when you open MAME I know this was just an example, but this plugin purposely ignores MAME [and RetroArch] because both of those emulators already have built-in capabilities to add bezels [and shaders] themselves. I do appreciate your enthusiasm and encouragement. But me rewriting this to be a plugin for a different frontend or as a stand-alone app simply is not going to happen. 1 Quote

If I'm not mistaken, RocketLauncher has an Attract Mode plugin, right? So you have a great solution there, as you have already intimated. Quote
Middcore Posted June 9 Posted June 9 Trying to set this up for PCSX2 and I can't get it to make the GUI bars at the top and bottom invisible. Of course I can't have the emulator run fullscreen because then the bezels don't show up at all. Could anybody give me some guidance on this? Thanks. Quote

PCSX2 is one of the ones that just works. Just tested with the most recent version and had no issues. Is you emulator setup with just -batch as the Command-line Parameters? Quote

Well, despite what I said earlier about running fullscreen, I found in my settings that I had Start Fullscreen checked. If I un-check that, I get what you're showing. One other setting (that may be the key) is to set Fullscreen Mode to Borderless Fullscreen. Hopefully the latter (in conjunction with the prior) is "the fix". Quote

In borderless fullscreen, the games are actually fullscreen and the bezels do not show up, presumably because the game is rendering "on top" of them. Quote

Can you attach a log file created when running PCSX2? They're found in the plugins folder. (just drag and drop the file into your reply here) Quote

I just fired up a game again to generate a log file and the bezels actually seem to be working now. Apparently in the game I was trying before the bezels don't load up during the initial publisher "vanity plate" screens? Sorry to waste your time. 1 Quote
