About This File

I use the awesome Bigbox function to display marquees on a secondary monitor. For years I've been collecting high res Mame arcade marquees from all over the internet and since the start of this project got huge help from people in the community to expand this collection, please see the credits below. Not all marquees are in 4K but many are, I've down scaled the resolution to max 3840 pixels wide and max 2160 pixels high and saved all in .jpg format for a good size and quality balance. This project includes Naomi and Atomiswave marquees as well as other arcade systems.

These marquees go hand in hand with this bezel project:

I have forgotten where I got all marquees through the years but I know many came from the legendary @Mr. Do collection see: https://mrdo.mameworld.info/index.php and the many members that create artwork at: https://www.mameworld.info/ubbthreads/ubbthreads.php?Cat=
@ArsInvictus is certainly one of the providers as well. A huge thank you to @mOa and @JonnyModlin for providing many many marquees to this collection. Many lower resolution marquees came from the legendary team of AntoPisa at https://www.progettosnaps.net/

Also a huge thanks to the following people and sites: @PapaShine, @Dreamstate@flanx, imbord3rlin3, @djweevil666http://adb.arcadeitalia.net/, @THKhttps://flyers.arcade-museum.com/https://www.flyerfever.com/https://www.recreativas.org/, Ken at https://www.flickr.com/photos/10707024@N04/zzzaccaria.com, Hasan Tasdemir from Nationaal Video Game Museum for the opportunity to photograph at your amazing museum.

Hope you enjoy this collection.

What's New in Version 5.6

- Merged all update packs to one download, fixed some image sizes to 3840 or 2160 max, changed some .JPG files to lowercase .jpg files. Enjoy!

I just tried downloading the Marquee_Collection_v5.6.zip twice.
On each attempt the downloaded zip suddenly finishes at about 5GB, whereas the posted one is about 7.5GB.
The downloaded zip contains 6359 images, with the last image (quizdais.jpg) incomplete.
I get zip (unexpected end of data) and file (data error: quizdais.jpg) warnings on testing/extracting.

Is it possible that the 7.5GB zip is just too large to download correctly? Maybe split might work better?

Hmm, i'm not at the pc atm to test it out but could it be a server error @faeran? Anyhow it might be better indeed to split them for ease of use, what do you guys prefer? 3 part download?

Yes, would be better to split the files three or four zips. I re-downloaded and like the other says, downloads suddenly compleated after 5gb..

I get the same issues others are experiencing with two different extraction apps.

Perhaps the 3-4 zip solution can fix it.

Uploaded in 3 packs, I've tested the downloads by downloading and extracting them and found no errors.

@Mr. RetroLust Your project is amazing and coming along great. I recently found out that Robotron 2084 had a prototype cabinet design that had all new artwork including a different style marquee, which I like a lot. I noticed that this prototype marquee was not in the images gallery of Launchbox, so I went ahead and recreated it. I remember you were interested in my recreation of the Chameleon game marquee and thought you might be interested in this one as well.

Thanks @flanx :) That marquee is amazing! I've been searching on http://adb.arcadeitalia.net/lista_mame.php?ricerca=Robotron+2084&arcade_only=0 but sadly I don't see the prototype yet to be played, do you know if the roms are already dumped?
Great work as usual man, you are really talented! 🤘

From what I can tell its the same game but it was an early version of their cabinet art, so it would just be added to the Robotron 2084 artwork. They didn't make very many of these cabinets and very few still exist today. The cabinet had much different side art, control panel art was different and the marquee was different. When doing a google search for the marquee there were only a couple of results I had to work off of. Just trying to keep the rare alternate art alive, ya know? lol
