  1. You're right, haha. I thought I was going to have to install each game individually. Then I finally found an ETA Prime video of installing them as .zip files, and holy shit, it worked!! I mean, I still need to test a bunch of them, but that was insanely easy. You're awesome! Still, my idea remains if anyone wants to run with it, haha. Could be used for magazines too, presumably. And while the free version would have one or two colors of shelves, the paid version could have glass shevles or whatever.
  2. I posted this in the "features" section, and one of the admins was kind enough to respond and told me to post it here, in the hopes that someone would want to create a plugin. Basically, I'd love to use LB as a "virtual bookshelf" that would allow me to download ALL of the artwork / boxes / manuals, etc, and display them - without actually having the game to play. There's just no way I'm going to get any of the MS-DOS games going, but (having worked at a video game store in the late 90s) it would cool to see all the games displayed. Anyone interested in creating something like this, or know of a way to make it happen? Thanks so much in advance!!!
  3. Not my field of work, unfortunately, but I'm happy to put it out there to these devs. As this is something I've never done before, where do I go to where all these devs hang out on this site? Or should I post something in the 'request a feature'? Also, thanks for the quick reply. You've always been so very helpful!! I appreciate you.
  4. I used to work at a video game store back in the day, and always loved those giant boxes older PC games came in. I'm wondering, is there a way to utilize LB to download, say, ALL of the MS-DOS games and then download all the art, screenshots, info, etc. Obviously the games won't play, but that's not the point. I suppose this could be cool for some hardware I never owned, like, GBA or whatever. Thanks in advance!!
  5. Hey, so I've got a possible solution because I experienced something similar. My PC died so I'm having to add all my games back into Launchbox from a previous backup. My Playstation 1 games (which I'd yet to actually play) appeared, but there were only a few with achievement tropy-icons. One of the games i KNEW had achievements, but there was no achievemnet icon. So I checked the file it was using to launch. That file was a .7z zip file and although the game was listed, it wasn't playable. Soooooooo, I changed it from the .7z file to the .cue file. Once I did that, the game not only became playable, but the achievement badge icon immediately appeared!!!! So, I'm wondering, have you actually tried playing the games? Or, perhaps (and I'm just making these up) instead of loading the .bin, maybe direct the rom to the .cue. I hope that helps!!!
  6. I know this is obvious, but maybe try rescanning for PSP games. From the top-menu, go to achievements, then scan, then it'll allow you to do only the games of the highlighted system. If they're still not showing up, the only other thing I could think of would be to delete the PSP on the left side, but making sure you KEEP the files. Then re-importing them. Hope that helps.
  7. I know it's obvious, but for some reason, some of the game systems won't automatically have a checkmark next to "show achievements," even if you have that setup. I'd recommend making sure that's checkmarked. Then rescanning.
  8. Okay, finally figured it out with some help on the web. I went into RetroArch and reset the configuation. Then I found the retroarch.cfg file and - despite the password being inputted in Retroarch - the: cheevos_password was empty. I put the password there and it worked. F-ing finally. Thanks again for helping me out. I appreciate you.
  9. I tried that, but just to be safe, I went to RetroAchievements and changed my password. Then, I went into Retroarch and changed my password to match. Then I went back to RetroAchievements and changed my API Key and made sure ALL of that was reflected in Launchbox. Inside LB, I can click the button at the top of the screen which pulls up my Retro Achievements score......... but then whenever I play a game, it says the same thing: "Error loging in: Invalid user / token combination." Thoughts? Also, thanks for your help!!! You're the best.
  10. Downloaded the latest version of LB and, just to be safe, the latest version of RetroArch. I checked my username / pass and made sure those were fine in Retroarch. I got a new API Key from RetroAchievements and put that into LB, but still, I keep getting the: "Error loging in: Invalid user / token combination." Not sure what else to do. Any help would be amazing!! Thanks.
  11. Once it's fixed, it would be great if LB could display BOTH the regular achievements, as well as the "hardcore" ones. Just putting it out there.
  12. Until the devs do so, see above and download that 3rd party plugin. It works perfectly.
  13. I'm just a big dum dum. I thought I was asking in the right channel...... nm, trying to watch NHL Playoffs and work on my cabinet, haha. Sorry. The plugin is called "ThirdScreen." Thanks in advance!!
  14. I've got a 14.9" ultrawide monitor that has a resolution of 1280x390. It's showing up as 1280x720. Is there any way to fix this? Thanks in advance. This plugin is great!!
  15. I prefer using LB on my arcade cabinet. Just bought an ultrawide monitor I'd like to use for marquees (images, videos, controls, whatever). I want to do this in Launchbox and NOT in Big Box. Is this possible?
  16. You glorious bastard. That did it! I'd have never thought of that so thank you!!!
  17. Achievement badges are showing up for other consoles. I can checkmark a game as a "Favorite" and that will show up. In the menu, achievements are checkmarked to be viewable. I've also scanned for achivements too. I can start a game - most any game - and it will display that 42 of 42 achievements are ready. But even so, I can't see a badge to let me know if that game supports achievements or not. Thoughts?
  18. You're amazing. That's exactly what I was looking for. Thanks for taking the time to help out.
  19. My old PC died, but I had everything backed up to an external. On the new PC, I immediately went to "FILE MANAGEMENT > RESTORE DATA BACKUP" which is great, as everything is in place, my Playlists are there, etc. However, nothing is connected, which makes sense, since everything is in a new location. What is the best way to go about reconnecting stuff? I can't just dump everything from the backup harddrive to my new C:\ as it's only 500 GB SSD. So it seems I'll have to go system-by-system, which is totally fine. I just want all my hard work organizing this preserved. THANKS SO MUCH IN ADVANCE!!!!!

  21. Thank you C-Beats. Yeah, I just got a response from the LB team who said the same thing. Seems kinda dumb. I mean, if you got TWO types of scores, seems only natural that you could allow TWO types of score to be displayed. Hopefully in the next update!!!
  22. I also posted this on the Retroachievements site. If I get an answer, I'll be sure to let you know. Sucks being an achievement whore, haha.
  23. Thanks in advance for any help. I've got LB 13.2 installed. I've got Retroarch fully updated. My username and pass are fine in RA. They're fine in LB (using the API key). In fact, it's always been fine - I always had a score up at the top of the screen. However, there's a 0 score currently. When I click on the score, a box pops up that says, "Fetching Information," and then just hangs there. Any thoughts as to how to fix this?? It wasn't the 13.2 update. It was like this beforehand. Was hoping the update would fix it.
  24. You both are wonderful. Truly appreciate it. I know what I'm trying to do and it SHOULD be easier. Worst case, I'll capture a video and post it if I'm still having issues. If I can get it working, I'll send you both some Starbucks gift cards or something. I appreciate your help and time!!!!
  25. You two are both amazing!! Thank you so much for all of this. The internet told me I needed to load a core, start a rom, and then once that had started, I needed to press F1 to open the quick menu. That's where I was trying to configure the controls. It sounds like you're both saying that's not the way to do it.
