Yeah, the tech sounds interesting. Thankfully we shouldn't really have to DO anything to support it once Windows fully integrates it. Unfortunately we also can't really do anything to capitalize on it more until it's built in and working into the OS and .NET runtimes.

Never even heard of this file system before. Our app isn't written with pretty high level code and any file operations would be handle by .NET or the OS so we wouldn't have a TON of ability to manipulate it into working. Quick Google searching suggests that MadK9 is right though in that the file system isn't even fully supported yet by Microsoft and is still being onboarded to all operating systems, so it's very possible that there are still issues trying to use it even outside of our app. It'll be a good thing to keep on our radar but at the moment there isn't anything real actionable for us to pursue.

@DeadVoivod You're the first I've heard having that experience. We've had a few people say their performance increased with the move to .NET 6. If you load up task manager while LaunchBox is running what's your disk I/O percent at? A lot of what you're describing happens when your drive is getting hit hard. Curious if that is the cause here.

RetroAchievements had a period where their API servers were down. I'd try again and let us know if you still have the issue.

RetroAchievements was down for a period but appears to be up again. If you were having issues before, try again and see if you still are.

Unless you have the save configuration on exit option enabled in Retroarch your config changes don't save unless you tell them to and WOULD reset after closing the app.

I took a look at your XAML and your files are being hashed correctly. Seems like the application isn't getting a response from RetroAchievements when looking for an ID though. I'd verify your credentials are correct in options and then try again. If it still doesn't work turn on debug logging and then look to see if there are any errors or exceptions in the log that may point us in the right direction.

If you haven't already can you upgrade to 13.3 and tell me if that improves things for you at all?

You can hide the side bar and game details to give yourself some more horizontal wiggle room. List View may better serve that aspect ratio as well. LB itself wasn't really built to be used vertically like that.

Yeah, if sync touches the record it causes the data modified to change with it.

You are correct that syncing only works for games with a database ID associated to them. Once enabled sync should occur automatically and not require you to do anything for it to work. You can manually attempt to sync your collection using the indicator inside of LaunchBox, but shouldn't be required most of the time.

In Big Box Options they are listed in General. In LaunchBox it's in the View > Show/Hide menu.

MAME is an emulator, not a platform. To scrape properly you want to select "Arcade" from the drop down.

Yeah, the "Hide games missing media" hide settings are app specific. Check the box in Big Box and not in LaunchBox and should do what you want.

We just dropped 13.3 which moves to .NET 6.0 and is bundled with the runtime to eliminate several potential issues. I'd try to grab the latest version from the website and install that and then let us know if you have any issues and we can work with you to help get them resolved.

Then you should have the option available to you in the game's right click menu. Depending on the theme the options appear in Game Details as well. You DO also need the appropriate clients installed. Steam or GOG Galaxy needs to be installed on your machine for that functionality to work.

If you have premium you can enable badges to appear next the games that have multiple versions.

Typically if a game is running slow it's because your running a refresh rate under 60hz and need to adjust your monitor or emulator settings (or both)

Not entirely sure what "Retroarch 64" is. But when you launch RetroArch from your device the first time it should ask you for file permissions to read your files. Without this the app doesn't have permissions it needs to see the files and launch them.

This functionality only works with games imported via the Steam or GOG importer as we need the app IDs of the storefront to make it work. It also only installs games via Steam or GOG Galaxy and can't be used to run installers you have downloaded for DRM free games from GOG.

Never really considered it to be honest. Will have to mull on a bit and see if we can do it in a way that makes sense.

RetroAchievement functionality was moved from a title search to a hash lookup to be more accurate. Are you having this issue for all platforms? Could you send me your data file for one of the platforms you're seeing the issue in?
