  1. @cliffyb73 This feature is coming, but isn't available quite yet.
  2. Happy to get you a refund if you'd prefer @rpw88. Obviously more features are coming, as it's being actively developed. But for $5, you can't expect every single feature that's available in the $20 desktop version to be in the Android version.
  3. I believe it is possible, even when Windows 10 runs a proper shutdown process, for it to kill apps after a certain period of time instead of letting them close properly (especially if you hit the restart anyways button). So generally, it's not recommended to do that.
  4. Yes, the blurred background functionality is cause for more GPU usage. I do have longer-term plans to reduce it further by manually blurring the images instead of blurring them via WPF.
  5. FYI, I also just updated the New Default Performance theme downloads with options for no shadows, no blurred backgrounds, or both:
  6. While we're never going to have 100% coverage, coverage is very good with the LaunchBox Games Database. I would encourage folks to add any missing games to the LaunchBox Games Database site on the web.
  7. Per the Wikipedia search, we may be removing it here soon as it hasn't been recommended for ages and generally the LaunchBox Games Database provides better results anyways. If anyone has a good reason that they want us to keep it around, please let me know.
  8. Thanks for reporting this. At this point we may choose to remove the Wikipedia search altogether, as it hasn't been recommended for a very long time, and the LaunchBox Games Database almost always has better data these days. If you have a good reason for us to keep it around, please let me know.
  9. Slight change of plans, just put out 10.9 with some significant built-in performance improvements.
  10. So I've finally figured out the issues with the slow downs. I tested the old theme on 10 year old systems, and never had any performance issues with it, but they were all desktop computers with at least decent graphics cards. I'm noticing that on my laptop, which is 4K but does not have all that great of a video card, it's way more clunky than I've ever seen before. So it's obviously graphics-card or video memory related. Furthermore, I've determined that the shadows on the boxes and the background blurring are causing the slowdowns. I'm a bit in disbelief that WPF would be optimized so poorly, especially with static blurred backgrounds, so my apologies that I didn't realize this sooner. For now, I'm going to update the New Default Performance theme to disable the blurred backgrounds as well, which should bring the theme mostly up to the performance of the old default theme. Ultimately though, I'd like to improve the performance without resorting to removing those features, so I'm going to see if I can't make it happen another way.
  11. Edits should not be reverting back to the top (they don't in my testing at least). Deletes are currently though. I don't see it as much of an issues for deletions, but I can see how it would be jarring for edits. Can you guys confirm that edits are sending you to the top of the list? I can't seem to replicate that.
  12. It's certainly odd for an XML file to be detected as a virus. I've never seen that before. I suppose it's possible that something else on your system is infecting XML files, or something weird like that. Most likely though, it's some kind of a false positive, but it's hard to say without more information.
  13. There's not a Playlists category by default, but you can easily add one. Just add a new platform category and check the Root box. Or edit it if you currently have one.
  14. Yes, we'll add something like this in the future.
  15. I'm not fully following. What does your Playlist category look like on that screen? Do you still have one?
  16. Generally, renewals will renew the license to one year from the expiration date. Email us at support@unbrokensoftware.com though and we can get you a whole year if you purchase.
  17. Yes, the new theme is a bit slower than the old one; it's just more hardware intensive. You can just keep using the old theme, or you can try this theme that removes the shadows and improves performance a bit:
  18. Edit the playlist in LaunchBox. Make sure it's placed in the root like this:
  19. They just stay put.
  20. You can switch to the old theme in the settings. Under Tools > Options > Visuals.
  21. Hmm, can you by chance give us a screenshot of what you're seeing in Big Box? That might help to determine exactly what's going on. If I had to take a stab in the dark, I would say that it's likely being caused by a conflicting app or a broken driver update, so you can try closing any background apps first to see if that helps, and perhaps check for driver updates.
  22. Now available for anyone who's interested:
  23. New Default Performance View File The 10.9 update should resolve most performance issues, but for users with older systems or who just prefer to have maximum scrolling performance in LaunchBox, several versions of the new default theme are available here with shadows and/or background blurring disabled.
