  3. Name: Retro Style Spotlight 8-9-16 - EmuMovies, AM2R, Pi 3 Mini NES, TurboGrafx 16 Lost Ports, Metroid Category: News and Entertainment Date Added: 2016-08-11 Submitter: Jason Carr In this edition of Retro Style Spotlight, Brad showcases last weeks tutorial all about EmuMovies and it works within LaunchBox. If you've been on the fence about EmuMovies Premium, he also explains that as well. The stories today are all about AM2R, or Another Metroid 2 Remake that just came out and already has a DMCA take down notice from Nintendo, about the Custom made Mini NES's that utilize Raspberry Pi Zero's or Raspberry Pi 3's, and long lost TurboGrafx 16 (PC Engine) ports that are being shown from a former Tengen employee. This month in gaming, Metroid was released for the Famicom Disk System in Japan and was later ported, re-released and remade for several consoles and handhelds. 4. Makes sense guys. This should be relatively easy to do with the new forums system, so I'll add that to my list.
  5. Thanks for that run-through @Zombeaver. All makes sense; we'll definitely add automatic m3u support here soon. The trick will be to do it only when we should (when supported by the platform and emulator). I think we can wait to do it until launch though, so at that point we can just check if it's supported and if it is, automatically make the m3u.

  8. Hi Polish, honestly not very much changed for this beta so I'm betting it's a RL configuration issue. That said, you should be safe just to install the official version over top and you should be fine.
  9. That is true. We haven't added any new translations to the setup in quite a while; so there's probably a few languages that we need to add. I need a refresher on the best process to translate the setup stuff. @dukeemu, the latest beta has the new Italian translation. Again, my apologies that it took so long to get it integrated. @Bardock, I have a translation package ready finally. I'll go and update the beginning post of this thread so you can download the package and get started when you're ready.
  10. Ha, that is true, I did. I'll add that to the change log, just had forgotten about that since Monday.
  11. And the new beta is out.
  12. Thank you Jay! That is really great to hear. @Zombeaver, that's cool, I didn't know you could do that. I'll take a look and see what I can adjust.
  13. Yeah, the m3u thing will only work for certain emulators and platforms, unfortunately. I agree that it is the best solution for those platforms though, so we'll probably add an option for that at some point. Putting out a new beta now. It's a one-liner, but it should really help with multi-disc imports: - Improvement: Importing multi-disc ROMs that are named correctly with (Disc 1) or (Disk 2) will now stop importing duplicates and create the extra discs as additional applications instead
  14. Thank you for this @niglurion! Looks awesome! Would you be willing to upload this to the new Downloads section?
  15. Sure, I enabled it mostly to see people's feedback. I totally get what you guys are saying. I'll switch it up.
  16. Also, the next beta will have both @dukeemu's Italian translation and a new translation package for Dutch.
  17. Yeah, putting a beta out shortly. These here forums delayed my updates for a bit.
  18. The problem with images that big is that sometimes you can't see the whole image, that and it's disorienting. There is a nice popup now though so that should help. I'll keep that in mind though; we'll see if anybody else agrees and I'm overruled.
  19. Primarily just better support for importing multi-disc games.
  20. Yeah, agreed. Unfortunately I'd have to put in some work to change what it's all called though.
  21. Yeah, pretty much. But the Like button thing doesn't allow for dislikes/negative rep.
  22. Either way it sort of works like a reputation system. It's more just how it looks (using the hearts like we have now or using the Like button). What about negative reputation, @MarieH? Good idea?
  23. Well, I found this: https://invisionpower.com/files/file/8187-member-location/ Seems to be pretty cool but sadly doesn't appear to allow us to show it on each post.
  24. So we can either go with a reputation system (I just changed to this) or a Like system, like Facebook. Which do you guys like better? Also, if we use a reputation system, we have the option to allow negative reputation as well. Thoughts?
  25. Yeah, I'll go through the email settings and tweak some of them. Obviously we don't need emails for likes lol. I'll see if there's something I can do on the location stuff.
