  1. @DOS76, yeah, I don't know how that would work. I use Plex (though not extensively), but I don't know of a way to do it. @Syriacn, I just added a download for this on the downloads page, at the bottom under "Other Downloads". I did tweak a few minor things; I replaced the fanart image and changed all references to "BigBox" to be "Big Box" per the official name. Now it's video recording time. I did notice that it leaves a Steam icon in the task bar (the AutoHotkey thing it uses). Not sure how easy it would be, but it'd be good to change the icon on that since it's not really related to Steam anymore. I would think the default AutoHotkey icon would be fine. No big deal/rush on that though; it's working well as-is. :)
  2. Hi @TheSickness, thanks for your feedback! Per #1, I definitely plan on adding more visual options/layouts/etc, as well as sound effect options. Themes would be really cool, though; when we tackle that stuff I'll see how feasible that is. :) Per #2, images should really be just as easy as videos. LaunchBox will find images/videos/manuals/music that either match the name of the game, *or* the file name of the application or ROM file.
  3. Wow, first time I saw that I didn't even realize it was all CGI. Very cool.
  4. Hey guys, yes; I have plans to add room for multiple manuals, etc. However, keep in mind that you can already add these things to games without much of an issue. You can use additional applications for more than just "applications". It's kind of poorly named. This will allow you to add an "Open Cluebook" item to any of your games. It's not as easy as manuals, because you have to manually add them, but it should do the job for now. Per soundtracks, I realize that's a bigger issue. I do want to add that, but it will probably be a while yet.
  5. Hi @RhythmLunatic, Page Down and Page Up *should* be working as expected. I haven't been able to reproduce any issues there. Do you have a different keyboard layout than US English, by chance? Big Box also has separate settings for Auto-Play Music than LaunchBox, so that should be working as well. Let me know if you're seeing an issue with it. I do have the letter jumping on my list. Thanks! :)
  6. Cool; will do. That's exceedingly easy. ;)
  7. Thanks, @sylandro. Looks like I do need to boost this up on my list.
  8. Thanks @scree, good find. I'll take a look.
  9. Come to think of it, this could probably be solved with screenshots, for the most part.
  10. Great idea @garbanzo. I'll add it to the list. :)
  11. Yeah, I've had mixed luck with Dolphin emulation and Wiimotes. It works, but for me it never worked anywhere near as well as an actual Wii. They've got some impressive proprietary communication algorithms in the Wii that emulation hasn't been able to master yet.
  12. Thanks for the clarification, @scree. :)
  13. Awesome, sounds great. How do you pronounce your name @Syriacn?
  14. Hehehehehe. There's no question that video games can help people with an escapism problem. A lot of people (including myself) struggle with the need to escape from reality because of the stress of real life, and run to addictions as a result. Obviously video games can help, though they can become an addiction just like anything else. Better games than cocaine. ;)
  15. Actually, now that I think about it, I'm thinking about making a video of it to advertise launching Big Box from Kodi. So I'll probably work on the video tonight and announce it within the next few days. :) Thanks again @Syriacn. I'll of course give you a shout out; let me know if you'd rather not be mentioned or if you want me to link you anywhere.
  16. Hi guys, I plan to announce this on the home page (and possibly by email) tonight; let me know if you guys discover an issue and we should wait.
  17. Cool, thanks guys. I'll look into that issue, Martin. Yes, I do plan to add YouTube support at some point, hopefully soon. Still not sure how difficult it would be.
  18. It's been there since pretty early on. What I really need to do though is figure out how to prevent the corruption in the first place during freezes and crashes. I do have an idea; probably worth tackling.
  19. Hi @DOS76, just try replacing your LaunchBox.xml file with one from the Backups folder. Try the one with the most recent date first. If that doesn't work, go on down the list.
  20. Just put out beta 8. Hoping it resolves the remaining bugs with AutoHotkey (I found a fair bit of issues with it, specifically with the controllers conflicting with the new scripts). Also seemed to improve the Big Box screen corruption issues when returning to Big Box after changing the resolution. Let me know if anyone notices any further Big Box screen corruption.
  21. Curious to know if that works for you, @TonyWatto. Thanks @Bil.
  22. Thanks guys. @scree, absolutely; I do plan to add the video into the sidebar. :)
  23. Ah, sure. I haven't tested all the platforms lately with Retroarch. Probably need to review them. I know some of them are very complicated to set up due to very finicky and specific BIOS requirements. Again, unfortunately I cannot make any promises timeline-wise.
