  1. Oh yes. Yes, yes, yes. Foobar2000 is one of the many apps that has inspired me over the years. I'm sure it's had its fair share of influences on LaunchBox, even unintentionally. Not to mention, I can't live without it. Here's my setup:
  2. Hehehehe. Sounds to me like they're just trying to bring the quality of TVs up to what already exists in high-quality monitors. I really doubt HDR is any kind of new technology.
  3. Thanks @sagaopc. I can't find a license to see if it'd be legal to include AutoIt with LaunchBox.
  4. Nice, that's pretty awesome. Bookmarked to play with it later. :)
  5. Hi @JBourne21, welcome. You're obviously not alone; I have several reports of this for the moment. I'm working on identifying what might be causing the problem. Check to make sure you have only one copy of AutoHotkey.exe running in your Task Manager. It should show up when LaunchBox starts and shut down when LaunchBox exits (or Big Box).
  6. Hi @sagaopc, keep in mind that we use TGDB's search engine in order to pull metadata. Unfortunately it happens sometimes where their search engine goes down, even when the site is up. It has seemed to be more stable lately, which is great, but this is of course a big part of the reason why we're looking to create our own database in the near future.
  7. New beta is out. Not as exciting as last night, but I added a new "Broken" field to games to specify whether they work or not, with options to hide them in Big Box or LaunchBox. Also added some additional keys to Big Box to support X-Arcade Tanksticks.
  8. New beta is out. Do let me know if you run into any issues with the TankStick controls.
  9. Hi @Gorillapond, planning on tackling this tonight. Should have a beta for you in just a few hours. :)
  10. Hi @eric, currently the only way to run a custom AHK script is to use additional applications on games. That said, LaunchBox does have a built-in AHK script for closing emulators, but it's currently only made to work with a game controller. I have further customization options on my list.
  11. @CliveBarker, I have to admit I was tickled pink last night when I got that working. Not only does it make for awesome performance, it finally opens us up to stuff like animations in LaunchBox itself, or possibly even video backgrounds. Gone is the old-school GDI+ rendering that was holding us back.
  12. Thanks @shinra358. I'm aware of that issue; just implemented it that way originally because it would have taken significantly longer not to. I have that on my list to fix. :)
  13. Me too @garbanzo. So much so that I've selfishly put it pretty high up on the list. ;)
  14. Hi @jordanb, welcome! I am actually already in talks with Circo at EmuMovies to see if we can get it integrated into LaunchBox. Communication has been slow, however, so it might help if several of us were to encourage it. ;)
  15. Very cool @nathanddrews! I'm actually building my own right now as well (though I'm cheating and going with RecRoomMasters). The one thing I would say is Retroarch will be your secret weapon. It won't cover everything, but I'd replace at least a few of those emulators with Retroarch, just because the uniformity really helps when you have so many platforms. Retroarch makes for a much more seamless experience with cabinets too, because LaunchBox works with it to hide and show the games without any distracting windows and such.
  16. Guess what, folks. I'm in talks with John D.; hoping to sponsor Retroware. So that's exciting. :)
  17. New beta is out! I managed to pull off DirectX rendering for the games list and game details. Game scrolling is now smooth as butter.
  18. Cool, one last question. Which buttons did you want to use for Enter and Escape?
  19. Good find @Maddoc1007, that does look like it would help. That said, @Triclinic, get me your list of key mappings so I can get them into Big Box. I assume you're using the Tankstick defaults?
  20. Yeah, I think Big Box is actually much quicker in general than LaunchBox. Though it's a lot easier to work with because there's not huge lists of box art images for the moment. But also, the code is a bit cleaner; uses more modern technologies. I'm working on bringing LaunchBox up to speed.
  21. Hi Martin, sure; I'm surprised I didn't add that originally, must have just looked it over. Will do. :)
  22. Hi @Zarazilla, it should work to use your game files from that manual install process in LaunchBox. What issue are you running into?
