  1. Me too @garbanzo. So much so that I've selfishly put it pretty high up on the list. ;)
  2. Hi @jordanb, welcome! I am actually already in talks with Circo at EmuMovies to see if we can get it integrated into LaunchBox. Communication has been slow, however, so it might help if several of us were to encourage it. ;)
  3. Very cool @nathanddrews! I'm actually building my own right now as well (though I'm cheating and going with RecRoomMasters). The one thing I would say is Retroarch will be your secret weapon. It won't cover everything, but I'd replace at least a few of those emulators with Retroarch, just because the uniformity really helps when you have so many platforms. Retroarch makes for a much more seamless experience with cabinets too, because LaunchBox works with it to hide and show the games without any distracting windows and such.
  4. Guess what, folks. I'm in talks with John D.; hoping to sponsor Retroware. So that's exciting. :)
  5. New beta is out! I managed to pull off DirectX rendering for the games list and game details. Game scrolling is now smooth as butter.
  6. Cool, one last question. Which buttons did you want to use for Enter and Escape?
  7. Good find @Maddoc1007, that does look like it would help. That said, @Triclinic, get me your list of key mappings so I can get them into Big Box. I assume you're using the Tankstick defaults?
  8. Yeah, I think Big Box is actually much quicker in general than LaunchBox. Though it's a lot easier to work with because there's not huge lists of box art images for the moment. But also, the code is a bit cleaner; uses more modern technologies. I'm working on bringing LaunchBox up to speed.
  9. Hi Martin, sure; I'm surprised I didn't add that originally, must have just looked it over. Will do. :)
  10. Hi @Zarazilla, it should work to use your game files from that manual install process in LaunchBox. What issue are you running into?
  11. @Triclinic, what are the Tankstick keys mapped to by default? What do you have them mapped to? It'd be faster for now to just add those keys, that way I can probably get you a beta tonight that works. I'll build in custom keys functionality, but that will likely take a bit.
  12. Hi @Triclinic, as of right now it's not possible to customize the keyboard keys. However, I am realizing just now how important that probably is, as I'm guessing you need it for Tankstick compatibility, correct?
  13. Hi @TonyWatto, indeed you can; just edit the Emulator and add new records to the grid on the bottom. Or you can change the existing ones in the list to point to a different core. There should be a record for each platform, basically.
  14. Absolutely. Really good to hear, thanks. :)
  15. Hi Joe, that may have been requested before, but if it has it's been a long time. That is a good idea; I'll add it to the list. :)
  16. Hi @rich2k4, welcome. LaunchBox does support RocketLauncher; I'm not overly familiar with how to set it up, but I know there are people on here who do successfully use LaunchBox with RocketLauncher. Per filtering to parent ROMs only, no, there's nothing in LaunchBox to automatically filter. You can certainly filter out or hide anything you want to, but LaunchBox won't automatically identify ROMs as parents.
  17. Wow, okay, interesting. Thanks for running through that process. I'll take a look. :)
  18. Hi @sylandro, LaunchBox is supposed to append the unique id of the game to a game's image file names when it detects that there is more than one game with the same title for a specific platform. I trust that this is working, though I haven't tested it recently. That said, if you manually move images over to the folder, this of course won't automatically work. It would probably be worth creating a decent test scenario for this. I believe if you edit a game, it should be assigning the unique game IDs to the image files. The game IDs are GUIDs that look like a serious of random letters, numbers, and dashes.
  19. Ah, interesting. It might help me identify the issue if you can send me your LaunchBox.xml file (jasondavidcarr at gmail dot com). I know I have seen issues in the past if you have games with the same platform name, but different casing (such as Super Nintendo and super nintendo).
  20. Is AutoHotkey working properly for you in LaunchBox? Just not in Big Box? If you would, email me your LaunchBox.xml file to jasondavidcarr at gmail dot com and I'll see if I can figure anything out.
  21. Thanks again to @Syriacn. We're going to feature this on the home page shortly. Feel free to remind me in a week or two if I forget. :)
  22. Good ideas, @samfisher5986. I have bigger fish to fry for the moment than to try to tackle replacing the video backend, so that will have to be tabled until/if it ever becomes a more significant issue. I'll add items to my list for the video continue and fullscreen stuff. :)
  23. Unfortunately only implementing a single codec means massive compatibility issues. If we did that, we'd have angry people left and right, so that's not really an option. As it stands, the vast majority of people have no problem playing their videos (or are able to solve the problem relatively easily).
  24. Sweet. I really need to fill out the default emulator settings for all of those. Any idea what Crystal needs?
