  1. If you wanna watch the tutorials, click the link at the top of the site or in my signature.
  2. Actually, speak of the devil: https://bitbucket.org/jasondavidcarr/launchbox/issues/1081/error-adding-new-platform New ticket from anon.
  3. You can add as many emulators as you want, and even assign them to other systems but only one emulator can be used by the system at one time. You'd have to either edit you games individually or with the bulk edit wizard. The best alternative is to either set up FBA as an additional app for the games you want to launch it with, which is not all of them,or create a new category for them and create a new Platform for the board of which you want FBA to emulate. The main 4 boards being Capcom CPS-1, Capcom CPS-2, Capcom CPS-3 and Neo Geo. The games you want to run through FBA set up the additional app or like I said, edit them and put them in a new platform (change their platform name from Arcade to Capcom CPS-1 for example). Changing their platform does create scraping issues though as the platform exists as Arcade, nothing else currently. We are working on ways to resolve that though.
  4. Since there is no Database entry you kind are cobbling it together. Keep it there, because there was a reason why that error code came up and maybe we can still relieve it. The tutorial for Taito Type X does go up in about 4 hours and 20 min (10AM PST), so that may answer some questions too.

    Thank you!

Thank you for the kind words @Mithrot, we do greatly appreciate it.
  6. If you are not subscribed to our YouTube channel or you missed this, here are a few huge announcements from us that users should be aware of, ESPECIALLY the forum transition as it will be hopefully happening this weekend. I've been pushing hard for new forums for over a year now, and Image Priorities has taken off as an idea the community loved (Previously Tiered Images), so it's all available now. The forums will allow us for better performance, better groups, better profiles, better mod control for Jason and myself, better themes, being able to implement a Forum Chat and other things like that. If you want to see something specific let us know in this thread or make a ticket for it! https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Q3dnaPIVX9Q
  7. Updated the main post with the two packs that have been posted since, and touched up the formatting a bit! Thanks for the awesome contributions everyone!
  8. Well making games has become so much easier. Being creative period has become so much easier in terms of the tools and the method, granted you still need to be good at what you do, but yea... there's just a lot now. My wishlist is already gigantic as is, over 750 games? Too many...
  9. The download link on the post.
  10. In your LaunchBox folder is an Updates folder for this very reason. Sort them by date and run the newest exe on top of your existing LaunchBox install and it should work great. If that installer got corrupted during download, try the second newest or third newest exe and run that. Load up LB and try to update again from the server.
  11. Should be inside your LaunchBox folder.
  12. Unfortunately no. CCD was never requested. I know it's similar to a cue sheet, but the recommended stance from us is don't archive CD based games, and to use RetroArch which only uses cue sheets for PS1. I had to create a bunch of cue sheets... I have since started to move towards PBP files. Multi-disc support, switching with a few key presses from within LaunchBox, and some compression. Otherwise, we should still probably have a configurable list. If the ticket doesn't exist on our BitBucket please feel free to request it. Click feature request at the top.
  13. I don't think adding a second layer, with as much active development as we have, is a good idea. My thing is, if something breaks, where did it break? The more variables you add in, the worse it can get to troubleshoot. Past that, if you like the features that RL offers and you can get it set up in a decent amount of time then it should work great, it's just a matter of how much time do you want to spend and will you even want those features?
  14. There is an image folder in your LaunchBox folder. Inside is a folder with the platform name that you just removed. Rename that old platform folder to the new folder, and select yes for everything. Refresh your images in LB from Tools -> Refresh Images and you're good to go. Do the same for video, music and manuals if you have them.
  15. We have one and it isn't configurable yet. There is a ticket for it on the BitBucket.
  16. I fell asleep because 15 min before the sale power went out for the workers on the road. They were fixing power lines apparently. I just woke up... this sale kind of sucks. Ever since they stopped doing flash and quick / daily sales... it seems to have gone down honestly. Or there is just so much more noise on Steam now.
  17. 10am PST it goes live! It's currently 8:40AM, so about an hour and 20 min left before we go broke.
  18. As a test I removed my platform as there weren't many games, went to the platform page and added a new one, called it "Taito Type X", and it added with no errors.
  19. I just added a Taito Type X system to my LB and it worked just fine. (It's this weeks Tutorial), however, I've never added a Platform here, ever. I've always added platforms to the import screen. I used the add button in the bottom right hand corner of LB, added the Taito Type X exe, filled in the information, manually scraped it and selected the info from the Arcade platform and it added just fine. https://i.imgur.com/SE3Ri6T.png There might be a bug with the Platforms view, but you can literally add what ever you want. If I had known this was a bug, as I think I've read you or someone else's report before on not being able to add custom platforms, I would have asked you to create a BitBucket ticket or post the error for Jason so we could get this resolved.

  21. I'm also uploading 170 that I apparently had. It would honestly be easier to just use regular MAME 170 at a certain point, it's generally a lot better than the RetroArch core. Uploading right now for you.
  22. Try: http://buildbot.libretro.com/stable/1.3.2/windows/x86_64/ Which is from their site.
  23. The MAME Libretro core doesn't care (at least I'm sure most of the cores don't care) if you are running x86 or x64, but if you ran the online updater recently there is a chance they updated. It would honestly be easier (and my suggestion) to just grab 170 to 171, 171 to 172, 172 to 173 and 173 to 174 MAME Update packs. If you grabbed a merged pack or merged it yourself then you need to grab a new 174 merged pack as split upgrades (I don't think they're ever merged updates) will break a merged pack. These packs would be much more easy to find than a specific version of an RA core. There is a great CLRMamePro tutorial on the site written by @CriticalCid that will update your set from 170 to 174 in very little time. The bulk of the wait would either be the download, depending on your speed, and the actual process of upgrading and changing around the roms, which also depends on your hard drive speed (and maybe CPU speed if you do a merged set). That said, if you download a FULL RA download (with all the cores included, which they exist) then grab a 1.3.3 pack or something and grab the MAME core from this. However, it's generally best to keep cores and emulators up to date.
  24. If your games are in the MAME Rom folder, you set the correct path to your MAME emulator, and you are launching correct files from a MAME Rom Set then it should work just fine. https://i.imgur.com/onGNcDf.png
  25. What Derek said, after that it should run perfectly fine.
