    Nintendo NX

Yea I have some wierd issues with that on YouTube. They claimed the music, rightfully so, in a video I did (ironically about me celebrating their 125th birthday) and someone else who was not Nintendo claimed the Great Deku Tree's moustache. So in the end no one got paid because DMCA. I don't know if that's more telling about YouTube and that they essentially had to do this system, and it could be better, or that... it's already super uneven Nintendo, were you really gonna make that much money off of me? I know it's an automated system, but it's frustrating. xD Also, don't record a tutorial after being awake for 21 hours... I couldn't sleep until RIGHT IN THE MIDDLE OF RECORDING. >.<
  2. Did you change your paths for media? Manage platforms under tools then edit Arcade. At the top click the folders tab and check to see if they're all pointing to the folder they're being put in. Even if you move them, if it's being pointed to the wrong location it won't work. LaunchBox by default doesn't change where these paths are either, they should default in the appropriate folders inside your LaunchBox folder.

    Nintendo NX

Yea totally. If it's more of the hybrid... then maybe. People have issues streaming their PS4 or Xbox from outside of their network if it works at all, and we expect Nintendo to nail complicated streaming right away? :P Rumors are fun to talk about, but I know Nintendo. I am SUUUUPER hopeful, but... I don't want them to stop being as polished as they are with their games or unique, but I think they should start off a bit more grounded.
  4. Certainly there is more we can do, it was just more of a curious statement than anything. Like I said in another thread a few min ago, anything I generally suggest is not a way to hide bugs or deter progression. It's just a means to offer a solution right then and there instead of waiting for development time.

    Nintendo NX

I honestly doubt it. Unless the NX is going to be roughly the power of the new Xbox One (Project Scorpio), then they'll need add-on hardware liek the small black box for PS VR, that would require them to then have 4 pieces of "active" hardware on the market. Especially if you believe the handheld rumors, there is no way that machine is powerful enough in a small enough size and under $300-$400.
  6. Oh yea the codecs! http://www.codecguide.com/download_k-lite_codec_pack_standard.htm That is what I have everyone who uses the WMP Playback engine download, and it works out of the gate. If it comes up with any errors during install, press yes to have the K-Lite installer fix them. You also don't have to install Media Player Classic if you don't want to, but it's good. Yea @Zombeaver my PC is fine now. I have drivers for an external capture card, and I think a recent update they made screwed up the drivers. The error I got with the frowny face was about drivers, and since I already came across this once before, windows had a restore point at the time that worked (cause I just installed the drivers and restarted) restoring worked. Before I re-installed them, I manually created a restore point, which is good cause the first one is gone, and I had to manually choose that with not being able to get in to Safe Mode (F8 doesn't work anymore cause Windows 10 is "too fast"), then stuck in a loop, then it finally gave me advanced options during the repair process, safe mode failed, I then tried the manual restore point I created and it worked. Sorry if I just hijacked your thread a bit @brolly727. xD
  7. Oh yea, by no means are my suggestions ways to ignore bugs, just to try and help get around them. Even if Jason wasn't on vacation, he's still the only coder.
  8. If you need more functionality that a controller can't provide though, then software or a mouse and keyboard is the solution right?
  9. The background music selection might be a unique request for me actually. You're more than welcome to request features with the feature request button at the top of the page. When you make your ticket don't forget to vote on it, and you can search other tickets to see what others have suggested and vote on your favorites. I also don't quite get why there is a need for a Windowed mode. BigBox isn't in a true fullscreen, so things appear on top of it and you can more easily alt tab (vs true fullscreen which needs to minimize and etc). Maybe I am missing something though, and a few people have requested that (may be a ticket). That's not to say we won't add that, in the long run it might be a good idea, but I am confused by it.
  10. Would have been faster if my computer didn't decide to get stuck in a BSOD Boot loop... xD Hope something works, I think it might be mostly related to .net or VLC.
  11. Are you on Windows 32bit by chance? Do you have the latest .Net installs from Microsofts website? If you can't start up, if you are comfortable with editing XML files then load up your LaunchBox.xml file with Notepad++ and Ctrl + F and search for "VideoPlaybackEngine". Try replacing "VLC" in the middle with "WindowsMediaPlayer". Should look like this: https://i.imgur.com/zuKSipY.png See if any of that fixes your issue.
  12. Zeromod said Zombeavber, 3 dollars and you may want to get controller companion on steam. I use my controller as a mouse and a gamepad and its got custom bindings, virtual keyboard etc. I dumped all of the old hat apps a while back and never looked back. I mapped my xbox one guide button to my retroarch menu and holding the select/back and hitting the same button launches bigbox. For non retroarch emulators, i hold the same select/back button and just hit start instead. You can really do whatever you want with it though. InputMapper for the PS4 controllers does this really well too. You can use the track pad on it as a mouse and assign keyboard and mouse functions when needed. It has profiles too, but I am unsure about automatic profile switching.
  13. Also, you can do it specifically like you ask. Edit a Platform and choose the Folders Tab, then edit Clear Logo. Replacing the image file might be easier though.
  14. Yes, you can replace the clear logo's for the consoles. Someone gave me the basis for the background to create a unified theme for them. I was hoping to get the ones they used, but basically yea you can replace them. Updated main post.
  15. We've had our server upgrade too. So in this case I think it might be ping and distance that's the most effective site killer. We could still probably stand do some more optimzations, but at a certain point we can't fix what the distance effects. I do apoligize.
  16. Try adding the hiscore line?
  17. No that's odd, unless there is a bug or a recent change. If you haven't made a bug ticket already click Report Issue at the top and you can link to this thread in the description.
  18. Yea it is odd, I don't quite understand why. xD
  19. No unforunetly. Hyperspin themes are in a different engine, and XAML is remarkbly more powerful. I wouldn't be surprised if someone re-created the most popular ones or even if some of those creators decided to try XAML.
  20. I'm sure they have a plethora of great content we could use, and maybe we will add them, but currently we're not actively seeking out more database partners.
  21. You explained yourself well, Derek and I understood. Media can be in the name of the rom file incase you get media with a rom pack for example, but usually the media matches the game name in LaunchBox. As long as that is the same name and you downloaded art for it from the Database, LaunchBox will automatically assign the media to the same game in that system. When you remove it from one game to fix it though, it doesn't de-associate it from the other game. At least it shouldn't, and it hasn't for me in the past but that could have changed. Restarting LaunchBox would most likely fix that though.
  22. keltoigael said This is going to be goodddddd Eventually. :P I figured this would take some time to take off, unlike the sound thread I created. I almost instantly got submissions for that. :P
  23. Yea that would be my guess to, some check. Nothing to specifically worry about I guess.
