  1. The second option will find any empty spots and fill it in with Metadata if it now exists, but currently there is no easy way to replace existing metadata with new metadata if it exists. This week should be LaunchBox Games Database integration week on a deeper level than it already is. The hope is to have LaunchBox know what date you updated your Metadata, and check the server to see if there is any new metadata and download only the new pieces and not everything.
  2. You'd be surprised. Christina works at Walmart and I worked at a K-Mart and the same Walmart for a while too. It's crazy how strict things can be.
  3. Of course, if you've got more questions please feel free to ask!
  4. Oh it looks like the Database is currently down. I can't reset it, so Jason will have to reset it when he wakes up. I apoligize for that. There was a bug earlier about 404's that 6.2 fixed, but these are unrelated it looks like.
  5. Are you on the latest 6.2? It should have hopefully been fixed. If you are on 6.2 then this may still be a bug.
  6. I apoligize if I am misunderstanding you on this, but on the Wheel View you need to press your Forward button (the default Keyboard key should be Enter) in BigBox. There is the Platform / System View and the Game View, each with their own layouts. If you are already in your Game View, and that is not showing all of your games then I am honestly stumped and will have to pass this on to Jason in the morning when he wakes up.
  7. I think this is only but good. I actually covered this on Retro Style Spotlight on our channel and Sega is doing something really really cool. The popularty and the peak of a lot of these games has already passed. They'll always be sought after, but the saturation point has already hit. A lot of these Japanese companies are trying to severely change and this is a way they are trying to do it, piggy backing on their history and accepting the fact that this is a thing.
  8. Should watch more of my channel then if you want games to buy, actually everyone should. ;) I may do more reviews actually, it is a different process. I would stil with my RNG style review though. Part LP part Review, I prefer the more casual style but the video has an ultimate purpose other than just playing the game. You can add me to Steam too if you want Mute.
  9. I've actually played it on Steam, it also started in Flash too if I recall. It's an odd autorunner.
  10. Jason even wants to buy the game now too. xD
  11. My keyboard fails me Clive, you must have read this several times in the past! :P I just need to figure out ways to stand and move more. My legs need it more.
  12. Thanks for sharing this Mute! Really glad you got it up and running. Also, thanks for the love on my recent Review. My first solicited review from another source. Saddly, I don't think the partnership will work out, but I appreciate the love all the same!
  13. xD yea... exorcise is something that has been lacking recently and I probably should do more. I've been trying to stand and streatch more at the very least, but I don't have a standing desk and an addon that I can put my mouse and keyboard on to raise it up is shockingly expensive, so I think I am just gonna get a solid top rack to put down so I can stand. My second monitor is raised so I can still see it and my main monitor tilts. Stressed? Shockingly not as much as you would think. Money stresses me out WAY more and to be honest, this job was a god send and I love it to death. There are a few things that have seriously gotten to me working on this project, but it actually had nothing to do with the project or Jason, but other people. Other than that stress and sadness it's been fantastic, so don't worry about me. :P I like your image of me though, I could have 4 arms and hands and no one would know. :P
  14. Ah, that is odd unless they recently broke the Snes9x core. We need to fix up our defaults for emulators and the associated platforms still but I am glad it's working great now. If you have more questions please feel free to ask them.
  15. CliveBarker said I just downloaded metadata for 426 games and I want to thank everyone contributing at the Games Database because it went flawless. Not a single game with incorrect metadata and even the special and enhanced editions were identified correctly. That wasn't possible just some months ago. Yea once we got it started I backed off moderating the Database because it would take me forever and away from other things I needed to do, but I am proud of what we've put together. It's still not perfect, there are features still to be made, functionality with LB that needs to be in place, and there are still rules that need ironing out... but what we have is super promising.
  16. Have you watched the tutorial on our channel by chance? If you have, or even if you haven't, make sure you have the core you want to play SNES games with downloaded from the Online Updater from within RetroArch (we suggest bsnes balanced as it should emulate everything close if not at 100%), make sure the associated platforms page points towards the right core with the -L command (same core as I just mentioned), and that the name for the system in associated platform matches the name of the system in LaunchBox. If you selected the default name of the SNES platform in LaunchBox during import (default naming is suggested for best scraping), then make sure the associated platform name is the same as well. If none of this works please let me know!
  17. Oh, I should mention probably my most favorite feature! Ctrl + Win + X (and it's editable to what ever you want). What this function does is move a window however you had it on one screen to the other in the exact same way. So say I have a small window in the top right corner on monitor 2, it moves it to monitor 1 in the same exact location. My wife loves this function because she uses a TV and a Monitor, and the TV is kind of older (it still works, but it's big and we can't afford a new tv), so it needs to "warm up". If she just got home from work and just wants to watch something on Kodi over the network she uses Alt + Tab and Ctrl + Win + X to move over what ever she needs easily. Edit: I just tested this on exlporer.exe because I have a hard time of Windows remembering that I want my folders to open up maximized, literally all the time. So I just set explorer.exe to maximize all the time and it totally works. xD
  18. I know that Display Fusion is working great though. I also just tested this function and it completely worked for BigBox, it opened right up on my second monitor. Display Fusion also has a lot more versatility than this, that is just one feature I like. https://i.imgur.com/MTPH8oK.png https://i.imgur.com/Hpimbd3.png https://i.imgur.com/QZfx7tf.png
  19. I had read that it wasn't a huge jump personally. You will still also have to decompress these files when you want to play them and since they're compressed on Ultra it will take quite a while to boot the game depending on where they are located. CSO's don't need to be decompressed. CSOing can break a game though, I've found only 2 game so far that don't work well like this. As far as Batch compression or if you are doing it right, I wouldn't imagine anything past default Ultra would be needed and I don't know about Batch compression. It's also worth noting that some games may give you a better savings in space than others, it just depends on the game.
  20. Every system will be covered in the tutorials eventually. BigBox is a 100% completely premium feature, you can not access it without paying for LaunchBox. When I talk about the video needing Premium LaunchBox too, this is correct for for LaunchBox or BigBox. You don't add or download anything from within BigBox, all of it is handeled within LaunchBox and BigBox simply shows you your library. You can download from EmuMovies directly within LaunchBox, we don't touch the Hyperspin servers at all. If you have the media already downloaded you can certainly put that media in the proper LaunchBox location or tell LaunchBox in the Edit Platforms page under tools where the folders are and it will automatically read from that location. The media needs to be in the proper folder (or told where it is) and the names need to match the Rom file or the game name. BigBox is not fully customizable at all. There are options for different views, and of course there are plenty of options within BigBox but you can't edit the views. We have plans to expand this so that other people can create themes or other views if they so desire, or users can download themes or views that users upload, but what you see is what you get. In LaunchBox there are some customization features only available for Premium users, like font changes, color schemes and spacing of your items in LaunchBox. There is also Custom Filters as well. Our Premium page on the website details what Premium offers you if you want it.
  21. Not to mention if it is an internal 6GB/s or even 3GB/s connection (SATA 3 and 2), then that is still fairly fast. I have my LB on an internal drive and it doesn't take that long to load.
  22. The only time LaunchBox refuses to import a game entry is if you already have that game entry in LaunchBox (generally based on the file name and the locations), so do you have duplicates in LaunchBox of the game you are trying to add? You can also use the Add button in the bottom right hand corner, but this is a 1 by 1 process.
  23. With these quick updates we're kind of taking the Philosophy from Kodi. Any release that ends in .0 is a feature release with some bug fixes, a .1, .2 or .3 release are bug fix releases almost entirely. It's kind of comforting that, even with Kodi as big as they are, no matter how many Beta's or RC's they do most bugs still get found after the official release, so in that sense are kind of adopting it so that these releases make it to everyone. It's surprising and understandable why most users don't update to Beta's. Also Cid! LOL I love that image. Yea Derek, a good bad thing. xD
  24. We want to let everyone know that we are currently expierencing extremely high traffic on our server. We've maxed out our concurrent connection and we'll need to upgrade this ASAP after the weekend. If you are expierencing slow page loading, slow media downloading and slow LaunchBox updates this could be why. Everyone wants to get in to LaunchBox and we couldn't be more happy for the reasons why, but this will be something that we need to address.
  25. So it is both of them. I wrote Windows Import originally but saw all of the games in there for me were Steam, so I thought I got this wrong.
