yeah you must have an older mame set or not a full set if you don't have the bios in there

I use MAME as long as you have the a5200.zip in your MAME set it should work using the command I mentioned earilier

Do you have the a5200.zip in your system folder the structure should be like this ..\RetroArch\System\MAME\Roms\A5200 with the a5200.zip file in the folder

Just use the MAME core it will work the same

What version of ePSXe are you using I thought they had fixed the issue that would cause the GUI to close but the game to keep running in the background.

I run BigBox on a few tablets with similar specs and performance isn't the best I don't think you can close BB when launching a game. I never have an issue with the games themselves what are you trying to emulate that is giving you an issue with BB running in the background

Any Bezels you see in any videos are being handled by the emulator or RocketLauncher. LB doesn't support Bezels at the current time.

Okay it sounds like you don't have the right BIOS files here are the ones I have I'm not sure which ones you actually need scph1000.bin scph1001.bin scph5500.bin scph5501 schp5502

All BIOS files go in the System folder

Did you name your platform PSX? By default in the associated platform tab for RetroArch it will automatically setup a line that says Sony Playstation -L "cores\mednafen_psx_libretro.dll" if you did name your platform PSX you will have to change the 1st part of that line so it matches your platform name so example: PSX -L "cores\mednafen_psx_libretro.dll". If that isn't the issue will need some more info. I should have asked 1st but can you get the games to run just using RetroArch without LB? Do you have the proper BIOS files if it doesn't work through RA I'm guessing you need the BIOS files or you have bad rips

Google is your friend to find missing things I just put in the title and do image searches when necessary. Some platforms finding anything beyond the front box can be quite a challenge. For CPS-2 try gong to Tools manage platform changing CPS-2 to scrape as Arcade (if it isn't already) then go to your CPS-2 platform highlight all games using Ctrl+A and go up to Tools Download media and metadata and run the wizard choose to get stuff but not replace what you already have and that might get you some better results.

You have to set up your controller automation in BB to be able to exit out of emulators with the controllers

For the most part the list looks fine for SNES you may want to use one of the bsnes cores accuracy or balance just since they are much more accurate then the snes9x. The standalone version of Desmume is usually recommended but if you want to use RA for ease of use it isn't really an issue. As to MAME how do you see MAME as having limited options I find it to be full of options and am more impressed by it the more I learn new things about. I'm hoping they improve their software list capabilities and that some day MAME may be the only emulator that you need.
