  1. Speed varies by PC specs I have tablets with small libraries that take longer to load than my HTPC with 19K games and laptops seem slower than the desktop faster than a tablet so it all seems normal to me. I don't know if it is the extra RAM, the CPU power or a combo of both but the better the machine the faster the load at least in my experience
  2. I'm seeing it in LaunchBox. Thanks for scratching this one of the list. Any chance there will be by letter navigation coming to LaunchBox any time soon.
  3. That works for me because I saved all the ones I liked already.
  4. A Genesis by any other name would play just as sweet.
  5. What is this MegaDrive of which you speak?
  6. Ok I just tried crt-pi on one of my tablets and it can't handle it so how do I go back to no shader or the default shader that RA starts out with.
  7. Yeah the settings is in the HotKeyBinds I have it set to use right dpad as next and left dpad as previous but I'm afraid to just start changing them like that but so far even when shaders are not fast enough or that some display in black screen (not many but I came across a few) I haven't had any crashes.

    fba alfa help

    Another happy convert.
  9. Arcade is such a massive category that any distinction that can be used to separate the games into smaller groupings is desirable at least to me.
  10. Also on every computer I've installed the new beta I'm getting a crash warning and an error message saying that LB is already running once I close out both boxes the install continues as usual but I've noticed this on the last few versions I've installed
  11. First try at using the Alpha numeric navigation caused BigBox to lock up and become unusable Crashed the second time too. So far it only crashes on the Atari 2600 games (unknown if that is because the size of the library) when I tried it with my Lynx games it worked perfectly. Tried it again and it only crashed so far with Atari 2600 games which maybe the only roms in this setup that are on a network drive and not a local disk that is the only difference that I see between any of the files.
  12. Both very nice additions.
  13. I have that issue always with games that have a part 1 and part 2 both being named part 2 happens all the time you just have to check out your boxes and look for dupes and then if you have the games details pane open you can see which file you have and can change the right one.
  14. Scraping is the process of getting the metadata from its source and adding to your applicaton.
  15. I have a BitBucket ticket for alternative naming and scraping already. I'm on my phone or I would link it here feel free to vote it up
  16. I prefer to keep these systems separate especially since the boxes aren't uniform Super Famicom boxes are in portrait and SNES are laid out in landscape and personally that bothers me when I see them all together.
  17. My game collection is pretty big and it synced within minutes for me.
  18. What is the difference between the glsl and cg shaders? I was curious as I see the shaders are named the same but with the glsl or cg extension so is there much difference between them or does pixellate look basically the same in glsl or cg? I just went through a ton of the glsl ones and any one I liked I saved a preset so now I will test them out some more without having to dig through the folders every time.
  19. I'm up in my room now and I'm pretty impressed with how CRT Hylian looks on this PC.
  20. I've been playing around with the shaders in RA tonight and I must say I don't know that I've found anything that jumps out at me yet but I'm going through them and checking them out I saw one that I wouldn't want to use all the time but was kind of cool looking called Waterpaint if you are looking for something that closely imitates the original look of the game then you won't like this shader. Currently I've been using one of the Anti-Aliasing shaders reverse-aa and I'm thinking it is ok. I'm hanging in my basement so I'm on my slim desktop without a graphics cards so for this PC the CRT are not going to work I tried 3 or 4 and they were all incredibly laggy. The Retro I tried Pixellate, Bead and a few of those but I like to play in 16:9 regardless of how the games were intended to be displayed and it was a bit much for me. There are so many options and some of them are just so strange like Mudlord Old TV and MonoChrome both were basically unplayable. I'm sure I'll be experimenting with this for a while looking for the perfect shader to my taste.
  21. RA should allow for a second hot key to be enabled and then you would make a bunch of the others work by holding R3 and then pushing the buttons. Besides the actual 4 main buttons everything else would be able to be accessed while holding the right thumb key and that would allow you to map 14 other commands they would just have to change how they handle the config as you would have to signify both the button and which hot key you wanted to use with the button.
  22. I'm going to get a seat from the junkyard out of something nice and then have my brother help me build something around that. I want the seat to be adjustable and everything I'm thinking 32 inch HDTV or my 24 inch LG monitor at 1st until I upgrade. I'm definitely not getting a high end monitor for it.
  23. I know that my Logitech G27 was almost $300 a few years ago and I still haven't built the stand for that I promised myself I would make when I bought it.
