  1. I actually never use the filters but I know from taking classes on Access and MySQL that being able to employ multiple filters is a powerful tool for sorting data in DB applications.
  2. For the longest time I didn't want to use RetroArch at all. In my mind it was over complicated and I didn't even want to bother learning how to use it. Then I saw Jason's video awhile ago and I found it wasn't as complicated as I had thought. Using the video I was able to get the snes9x core up and running relatively quickly but the things was when I used it for SNES I didn't really see any improvement that made me think that it was worth looking into any further so I put it on the back burner. Then I started having issues with TurboEngine for emulating TG16CD/PCECD games and decided to try RA again and this time I had it working and performing better than the stand alone I was using so finally I found a use for RetroArch. Then I got PC-FX running in RA so now I had two uses for RA even if the PC-FX uses are very limited still nice to have going. Then I was checking out NeoGeo Pocket games using NeoPop and having issues with it changing my resolution, having black bars on the side in full screen and just overall not looking good so I tried RA once again and was impressed with it over the standalone. That got me thinking so I know I had issues with how Handy displayed so I downloaded the Handy core for RA and once again RA shined through above and beyond the stand alone. So I thought of other emulators that didn't display the best VBJin for Virtual Boy tried the VB core for RA another instant convert. Wonder Swan another one. Finally today I decided to try the Virtual Jaguar core and it looks better than Virtual Jaguar stand alone too. So to keep it in perspective while no I haven't replaced Kega Fusion, Nestopia, ePSXe ,MAME or SNES9X because there isn't any reason to these are all great stand alone emulators that don't have the problems that the others I've mentioned earlier do but it is the lesser emulators that RA shines and out performs anything else that is available to us the users. So if you are like me and you don't want to use RetroArch just because I urge you to stop being stubborn and try something new. Is it maybe a little harder to setup then some other emulators? Yes it is. I'm not going to lie it is somewhat harder and less intuitive than many emulators at first. I think that without Jason's video I never would have benn able to get started because I would have never thought that z and x would be the keys to control the settings. Despite this I think that with the knowledge and resources of this community that any one could learn how to use this brilliant emulator, trust me it is well worth it.
  3. That's funny. I'm curious as to when you say you share it with your parents do you mean over the same network of at a remote location? If you are spread out Plex is the ultimate sharing application for media. I have my server shared with both my brothers a few of my cousins and numerous friends you can control which libraries they can see and even if you are in the same home and sharing a computer Plex allows you to set up separate user accounts so no one messes up your show queue. It's pretty easy to use and setup you can resume watching any video on any computer or device and Plex has apps for everything imaginable (if you had a wifi enabled toaster Plex would probably be on it). If you are comfortable using LaunchBox in this manner though thats all good to each his own but for media Plex is a step above everything out there in my opinion.
  4. I checked like 4 different machines and I don't have that on any of them.
  5. Missed the Big Box in the original post
  6. On 2nd thought couldn't you just use your all platform and then use the favorites custom filter and it would display cross platform favorites
  7. You can add all of your favorites either one at a time or through the importer if you used the importer though you would have to choose one emulator then change the emulators accordingly for each platform or game either individually or through the bulk edit wizard. Basically it can be done but could be a shit ton of work if you have a lot of favorites.
  8. No the option has to be turned on go to tools manage emulators click on your PSX emulator and hit edit there will be a checkbox to turn it on.
  9. PS1 games in .bin/.cue do work in the latest beta there were some issues initially but I think Jason fixed them.
  10. Many people have the XBox One issue. In my case it was with one of the latest beta builds of Windows 10 that made the controllers go wonky every time you turned them on the screen went completely white and didn't work when you pulled the battery from the controller your computer would need to be signed into again rolling back the drivers fixed the issue for me. Their is a post about the XBOne controllers on the forum started by Dovella awhile ago I'm about to walk out the door to go to school so I don't have time to elaborate on which specific post it is. I would try rolling back the drivers though for his controller just in case that works.
  11. Its a driver issue with Windows I don't know if Xbox One has older drivers but that is what fixed recent issues I had with XBox 360 controllers.
  12. slashguns04 you are much better off using the tutorials I linked to instead of my making you a video I'm not a video making guy I don't have any screen recording software, the knowledge or any interest to take that on. If you already have the cd bios and it isn't named syscard3 (I think this is the name that RA is looking for) you can probably try renaming it that. Rules of the forum and legality keep me from being able to link you to the file so you will have to find it on your own.
  13. Oh where you using physical disks or mounting them. I think the major issue now is that Daemon Tools in Windows 10 doesn't support the certain drive type that you need to mount them properly. Now that I've got it working in RA its not a big deal at all I was just curious.
  14. Truthfully I just use my keyboard and don't have any trouble exiting I'm just trying to help the other users solve this issue. Thanks for being curious about it and helping us figure it out.
  15. Niglurion actually has a solution to this issue it is can be found in this post Basically you need to get the Lilypad controller plugin and use that making sure that under hacks you enable the checkbox exit emulator on windows close. If you have PCSX2 then the plugin should be in the plugins folder for that emulator.
  16. Ok I just copied the LilyPad plugin out of my PCSX2 folder into my ePSXe folder set it up and made sure that I checked that checkbox and now it exits without any messages so Thanks 2 niglurion for coming up with a solution for this.
  17. Oh interesting is the plugin included and if not where can users get it.
  18. I don't even use the controller to exit my games but I tested it based on others users reporting the issue and I get it every time I try. So I don't know how it is letting you do it.
  19. 1st you will need the syscard3 bios file to play any TG16/PCE CD games in RetroArch. I was intimidated by RA but since seeing Jason's tutorial on using it. Here is a link to Brad's tutorial on TG16 and one to Jason's for basic use of RA
  20. How did you get the CD's to run in ME
  21. I could never get the CD games to work through magic engine. I used to use TurboEngine but have recently switched to RetroArch CD games work great on there.
  22. ZzackK I started a ticket to add escape to the controller mapping it can be found here go and vote for it so it has a better chance of being implemented.
  23. Yes all prior versions of ePSXe have this issue. It on their side of things not LB's I started a ticket for this issue here is the link vote for it on the BitBucket page.
  24. If you are using a controller then there isn't away to do so from LB if you use the autohotkey inside of LaunchBox it is the same as pressing alt+F4 on your keyboard if you press alt+F4 from your keyboard you will get the confirmation message ePSXe 2.0 doesn't have an option to turn off the confirmation. If you press escape from your keyboard it closes the game and since LB opens the game with no gui that is the end of the process if you open ePSXe outside of LB and hit escape it takes you back to the gui. so this is why escape works in LB but it doesn't outside of it. So unless Jason was to expand the AHK side of LB to include using another button combo to be escape or ePSXe adds the option to disable the confirmation then it isn't going to happen for you. You may be able to use something like Joy2Key or XPadder to make it work for you. Sorry for the long explanation. If any one else has figures away around this I'd be happy to have my theory on this proven wrong.
  25. I got my whole DC library from there and only had a few that didn't work. I recently saw in another post someone saying they had issues with the PCEngine CD games but I've been getting them slow over the last two months and I test them all and maybe only one or two of them didn't start. I'm not done yet still working my way through the alphabet. All in all my experience there has been way more good then bad.
