  1. Sorry I just reread your post if your paths are setup using a relative path already you can move them to a new drive as long as the path is the same on the secondary drive say you have C:\Roms\LaunchBox\Amiga CD32 but your XML is ..\Roms\LaunchBox\Amiga CD32 then you could just move the ROMs to another drive that was say D:\Roms\LaunchBox\Amiga CD32 LB would still see the games under the relative path as long as the path was exactly the same with the drive letter being the only variation in the path.
  2. Get Notepad++ and use the find and replace feature under the search menu first go to the find and type in the path of your games ie C:\Emulators\ROMs and then use the count feature to make sure that it is finding your stuff (not necessary but that is how I do it) then go to the replace tab now you will see the path you entered for find and a new text box that you will enter your new path in then click the replace all tab and save and should be good to go you may want to copy your .xml first just in case you run into any unforeseen issues. This whole process should be done with LaunchBox closed as I've had issues with the XML not changing when the program is open still. Running them from an external drive should have no issues what so ever I run many games from external and even have entire platforms that I run from my Windows Home Server network shares (external drives on a completely different computer)
  3. Actually it is the second rule in the PDF.
  4. Nice I don't really like to torrent without it.
  5. Do they have a problem with you using a proxy to download.
  6. Thanks Eric but as a heads up This post is probably going to get taken down due to the link to ROMs but I do appreciate the info.
  7. If you go into the platform you want to work with do a control + a to select everything then go into tools and select download metadata and images. From there go through the Wizard and select the option yes but don't import for existing fields unless you want to get all new metadata then replace everything. If you don't have a paid EmuMovies account though I don't think LaunchBox gets videos when it imports.
  8. Download ClrMAMEPro from here and installed it but after that Windows Defender said that it is a severe trojan threat the funny thing is it removed the downloaded exe but not the installed files. I grabbed another copy from major geeks but I still haven't deleted the other version I'm thinking it is a false positive but don't really know.
  9. Ok I have them all already I'll get into that tomorrow if I have the time (I should do my math homework instead).
  10. My CHD's will be done downloading in 5 days. Could only find 161 complete but have all the updates do I have to do them one at a time as in 161 to 162 and then 162 to 163 or can I just go to 170 from 161
  11. Thanks @CritiacalCid I'll watch the tutorial and if I run into any issues I'll let you know.
  12. Are the shared accounts and the family accounts the same thing?
  13. Thanks guys I will have to check this out or search for that complete set.
  14. What is the best way to make sure that your MAME ROMs are up to date and playable in the latest version of MAME? How do users manage the ever changing landscape that is MAME.
  15. There is nothing wrong with FTP sure it has speed limits but if people have data and that is how you can get it then well what ever. This is making me feel old though because where I'm from the "cool kids" couldn't even spell FTP much less use a computer (of course I didn't use or even own a computer then and they didn't have them in school yet) I much preferred hanging with the burnout derelicts over the cool kids anyday
  16. I thought I would never be interested in the video snaps until I saw them in BigBox and then I shelled out my money to EmuMovies so I could add them. I hate paying for anything too but if it was make thousand and thousands of videos or download them in bulk for some loot my time is more precious than a few $20 bills so now you have a choice either start working, pay up or forgo having video snaps all together.
  17. Cool as long as you can share the games what more can you ask for.
  18. Yeah that will do it. Glad you sorted it out.
  19. Yeah since LB is mainly using TheGamesDB we are stuck with whatever platforms that have listed so if they don't split SNES and Super Famicom we are stuck with their results.
  20. This sounds like what was happening to me in the XBox Windows 10 app. Whenever I tried to use the live streaming the controller was doing the XBox app controls and the game controls at the same time in the app B escapes from the game bar menu once I updated my app to the latest version the problem went away. I don't know if the OP is using Windows 10 or if the controller would interact with it in anyway but if he is he may want to make sure that it is updated.
  21. Okay so only certain titles are shareable.
  22. I have a Steam account but to be honest I don't really use it much or buy any games from there. I didn't know they let you share games with your family that is a pretty cool feature and unlike normal business practices where companies want to get paid for everything and anything.
  23. This is a pretty interesting post maybe in the future LaunchBox could have a multi-user setup built in but for now Brad suggestion will work. I've read from other users that they do this to differentiate between consoles, handhelds and computers Some even went as far as having a master version setup that launches the other categories.
