  1. I have almost all SanDisk they don't seem to ever have any issues I have a mSATA Samsung which is also rock solid plus Samsung is usually just good quality period TV's, phone (I've never messed with their PC's but those other two things are top notch)
  2. I don't know much about graphics but I do know I always upgrade to the new drivers and my PC's keeps working.
  3. Yeah I knew a lot less than I do now when I bought them I still have a bunch that are still kicking but there have been some casualties along the way.
  4. PNY #@$%! I had like 3 SSD from them fail to be fair I bought them all at the same time so it could have been an issue with that lot but I would never trust their drives again after that experience.
  5. I've yet to have a Seagate drive fail but have had many WD Greens bite the dust on me. StableBit Scanner is a nice piece of software though I don't have the email warning setup though and my WHS2011 and WS2012R2E boxes are so stable lately that I rarely ever log on to either of them. I looked into moving it into a different case but read that it wouldn't work. I have two PC's with the same socket but if I were to move components around it would screw up my licenses (Windows 8 they introduced the ability to swap drives between machines and then in 10 they killed the practicality of it). @CADScott how did you connect the XBox power straight to the card?
  6. There is a back arrow in the upper left hand corner and don't feel bad that you missed it because you are for from being the first to do so.
  7. I have a slim desktop Dell 660S with a 220w power supply and absolutely no room to add in a graphics card or really to power it either with the current PSU (but there isn't anyway to upgrade the PSU due to room consttictions). I was thinking of getting a 16x pcie riser card and running it from a GPU outside of the case to the inside ( will mod the case and feed the riser out of the slit I'm planning on adding now my only issue is how will I power the card outside of the case. I'm looking at this here but I'm waiting to hear back on if it can work externally
  8. Its in the mail let me know if it doesn't come. Does anyone else want one I'll send one to all LaunchBox users who reply but don't hold your breathe waiting for because you may suffocate.
  9. Yeah I don't know if the msata ones using the adapter cards are as quick as the ones that are just drives with the PCI built right in but my 250GB Samsung mSATA drive is really quick and really it wasn't that much more money.
  10. Definitely can. I have it load SlingPlayer, Plex and CDisplayEX it can literally launch anything .exe a shortcut it is really an amazing program with potential beyond just gaming.
  11. I just loaded Arkham Knight in a 13 count from its folder with an SSD and a HDD which I find to be acceptable the things is though it took a 72 count to load from LaunchBox which is kind of a long time.
  12. That video doesn't at all specify if it is SSD OS with storage on a HDD or if it is SSD OS and SSD storage or even if it isn't just an SSD running the OS with the game installed on the same drive so really it only shows that having an SSD makes your system faster which is undisputable. I would always recommend that you run your system off of a an SSD 100% of the time I just question the value of using two of them in the same system unless you are booting two OS's each from their own SSD. I tried to find some documentation talking about using two SSD's vs an SSD and a HDD but I couldn't find any results for anything that covered that specific topic.
  13. Guess we will just have to disagree on this one because while you are talking saving milliseconds I'm talking about saving money and gaining greater storage capacity at the same time. To me that is a no brainer.
  14. Yeah but he is saying that he has specified a different location but it is still placing it in the default.
  15. If your PC is good enough how much could that really matter(rhetorical question)? I'd go SSD for the system but you still can't beat the value of a 5TB HDD for storage over adding a second SSD for storage.
  16. By it if you mean LaunchBox then no it isn't putting it in your user folder PCSX2 is putting it there.
  17. Here is an SSD I would get. I've been getting these HDD's lately at Best Buy for the same price haven't had any of them long term yet but they have all been working great. That is at just over $200 so you can either save money, buy some better/bigger RAM or buy a 500GB SSD and it would still be in your $325 price range
  18. System is on the SSD files are on the HDD.
  19. I always use them in tandem except in a laptop without an optical bay that can't be replaced with a drive caddy. Then you get SSD speed for your system plus HDD storage for your files. Also if a 1TB SSD is in your budget you should be able to afford a 250 GB SSD and a 5TB HDD probably for around the same price. Its a best of both worlds scenario.
  20. Yeah its only good for adding one game at a time but it works great on those special occasions.
  21. No worries no one will blatantly say go to RetroArch forums I'm sure that Brad and others will surely try to help you with any RA issues you are having
  22. Nowhere at all that is all handled by the emulators themselves.
  23. I would love to see attract mode added to LaunchBox though.
  24. OP needs the client server model because he is using a tablet and a PC in tandem because his PC only has one display adapter. If he has any free USB ports he could always get a USB display adapter and if it is an arcade machine with a marquee just run the USB up to a secondary screen I use five USB display adapters on my six screen desktop and they work very well they even have newer USB 3.0 versions but my 2.0 versions work great as long as they are plugged directly into the PC they suffer if using a hub. Actually that is what the OP's friend needs the OP would be fine without the server/client model.
  25. where you have your Kega Fusion folder go to the .exe file and right click on it and choose properties then go to the compatibility tab down by the bottom are some check boxes check the one that says disable display scalling. I had an issue of this with an install I was doing on an SD card I suppose because it was on a removable drive but it would never remember the setting. On any fixed drive I've never had any issues (just in case you are using a USB flash drive or SD card) .
