  1. I got it working in Steem but I haven't messed with it since the first day I set it up. I know I had issues with my BIOS at first it was sort of a pain for not that great of a reward at least as a first impression.
  2. There wouldn't be any system metadata for Famicom unless you made it your self and put it in the platform folder you can access it through the manage platform option under tools. There are tabs for details, folders and notes so if you had the text information on Super Famicom you would paste it under notes and you can add your platform images in the same way that you would add game images from there.
  3. I've actually done this for NEC-PC Engine when I decided to split the two platforms up its a pretty good solution to get your data up on the new system It sure beats finding all those damn Japanese covers again it was actually a pretty big job finding them.
  4. Missed the part where you asked about sytem data not game data my bad.
  5. Did you originally have those games entered under SNES? If so then you will need to go into your LaunchBox folder and go to Images\SNES (or whatever you have it named) there you will see all of your Image files from that platform you can either go into the individual folders and find the SFC games and then paste them in your new Super Famicom folder or you can just copy all the folders and paste them under SFC yeah it will take up extra space because you will have all the SNES games images to but that will be much faster than sorting through each game individually. I'm not 100% on this but I think if you run the clean up images option under tools it may delete the SNES data from the SFC folder and the SFC images from the SNES folder since they won't have any entries under that platform.
  6. I'm not trying to say that LB needs Android support or even Mac or Linux since I won't pay premium Apple prices ever and I've never really bothered to try to use Linux (except Android if you want to be technical). I was just playing around and thought I'd tell people who might want to setup some mobile gaming solution my observations of it. That being said if LB became available for Android I would definitely give it a try. I don't know why you would skip Android if you were to branch out as it has the most users of an mobile platform and retro games work great on mobile (up to a limit but as the hardware keeps getting better that limit is bound to stretch too) while LB may not be optimal for phones it would be great for tablets and mini/stick PC's connected to HDTV's.
  7. No I had a bunch I had downloaded before and once I learned how to get them running I just started using them I will have to check out more of Austins games. I think I remember him mentioning a link in a certain video to download multiple games I'll have to watch it again.
  8. I played around with Reicast a little more today and even with the latest 64x version it crashes when you press up or down cursor buttons however if you grab the x86 version this doesn't happen (you will also need to grab the x86 versions of the above mentioned .dll files unless they are already on your PC). From what I was able to tell trying any Windows CE game will crash the emulator. Also the config file allows you to set up widescreen but a few of the games I tried that leaves you with flashing black borders but the game remains in 4:3 some games however do stretch to wide screen. The emulator has no controller support as of yet and there is no documentation that comes with the emulator that tells you what keys you would want to map in X-Padder. Also it asks you to set the time and date every time you run the program which is very annoying. So all in all while I got a little further with Reicast today than I did the first time I tried it out it is still far from being anywhere ready to becoming a solid replacement to Demul or NullDC.
  9. I was bored yesterday so I decided to start messing around with RetroArch on a spare Android phone I use as a handheld (Droid Razr Maxx HD with a Moga Pro Power A) I got it working after finally figuring out that you can't control RA in Android unless you use your controller once I got to that point everything was easy download the cores and launch the games. Now I don't know if this is the issue but a lot of my games on the phone are archived and while RA starts the games they don't preform as well as when using the stand alone emulators that I was already have in Android. Then I decided to add a system to the Gamesome Front End for Android I'd downloaded it awhile ago but never got it setup because it only excepts certain emulators and I wasn't using any of them but since it does use RetroArch I was able to start to test it out it finds images for all of your games almost but not all of them are correct Super Mario Bros. and Super Mario Bros. 2 both came up as Super Mario Bros. 3 so not unlike LB there are some minor scrapping issues. One things is that on the phone the UI is very cramped if you had say an Android tablet or a mini stick PC connected to a TV then this wouldn't be an issue but on my Phone you can only see one row at a time (4 games this may be adjustable though I haven't really gotten into the settings yet). So far I've only tried one system in Gamesome and experimented with like four in RA but SNES struggled with speed and even NES seemed to be laggy (SNES games are compressed while NES games aren't) Atari 2600 seemed to work the best but that isn't a surprise considering it is less advanced than even NES. As I play with it some more I will post back any new things I discover that may be of interest.
  10. Yeah I always want the latest software too and if there are problems I'll just switch back but I never pass on updates and I beta test almost anything available.
  11. By stuck do you mean unwilling to update. If not what would make someone stuck on an older version?
  12. Newest version of Higans loads ROM files so this is no longer necessary
  13. Recently new versions of both ColEm (2/4/2016) and 4DO (12/26/2015) were released. Both have been lightly tested by myself and are working in LaunchBox pretty much the same as before. Anyone looking to keep their emulators up to date I've provided the links to both so enjoy.
  14. I didn't have it occurring every time but as soon as I turned it off it stopped occurring and before I enabled it it never happened.
  15. Thanks this is just a theory and I'd like to know if you have the same results that I get when you turn it off. If we know that it is only specific when using the AHK then maybe that will help get it fixed faster.
  16. Is there anyway to get the portrait games to start in horizontal or at least to choose which monitor they open on I do have another PC with one Horizontal and one Portrait monitor I use it to play portrait MAME games but they have a built in setting for that this barely has any settings. Also i have some games that don't work at all like Samarui Shodown it starts to open then the launcher.exe file becomes unresponsive and never recovers. Another issue is Chaos Breaker and Battle Fantasia are both Battle Fantasia when I open them. I'm going through them and trying to figure out which ones are playable but I have to go school for a few hours so it will have to wait until I finish.
  17. i have BluBlaze Calamity Trigger working now to that was a little more difficult but if you use the fix file that Simply Austin provides then that works too.
  18. Do you have the auto hot key option enabled to close the emulator I have the same issue but only if AHK is checked in LB settings.
  19. Yeah thanks for this @CriticalCid I have SSFIV up and running it looks awesome by the way. @Slashguns04 If you have it working in other launchers i'm going to guess you have already configured it properly. To add it to LaunchBox you click on add in the bottom right corner then type in the name, the platform, the path and then get the metadata now if you want to have a platform called Taito Type X then you need to make sure that after you get the metadata it doesn't add it to your Arcade platform because it will try to if you want it to be labeled under Arcade then you don't have to worry I like my Arcade games to be separated by systems like Sega Model 2 CPS1 instead of just lumping them all under one Arcade category but this will be based off user preference.
  20. Thanks I will check that out.
  21. Try playing with those check box settings in manage emulators try no space and something else you may also need a command line but don't those games run in Windows just by starting the .exe. I tried to get them to work through Taito Type X launcher (i think that is what it was called) I could get the launcher to run but the games wouldn't start. I tried the games without the launcher and it would go black screen but nothing would ever show up on screen so i gave up on it.
  22. i could never get them to start outside of LaunchBox I think maybe my games were not good dumps.
  23. Considering Jason is just assisting them with the API I am pretty sure that he wouldn't be able to give you a definitive date as completion isn't something he directly controls. I'm interested to see what will be needed to be added to LaunchBox in order to give users better options to choose between more sources of data as they become available.
  24. I had it checked I just had one install the other day switch from having all to having (exists) out of nowhere. I didn't even know that this setting even existed to be turned on or off until post 4 of this thread.
  25. Good to know I've never been into that section of options so i didn't even know that was there and that explains why I have the (exists) field somehow that boxes must have gotten checked but I don't recall consciously setting it myself.
