    MAME

You add your MAME roms like anything else. When the importer asks for a platform put Arcade if you already added MAME as an emulator the next form will be populated with MAME (if you set it as your default arcade platform) if you haven't added it yet then click add and point it toward your MAME.exe. When asked if you want to copy, move or use ROMs in there present folder for MAME you are best to leave them where they are and if you do choose to move your games remember to point your .ini to the appropriate LaunchBox folder or MAME won't find your games. As you go through the wizard there will be a special form that is only for MAME that will alllow you to choose to not add non-working, clones, bootlegs and hacks along with a few other options. Complete the wizard and wait. I was waiting over like 15 hours for it to finish today on my kitchen HTPC and then our electricity went out due to the weather so now I may have to start the whole process over again from scratch.
  2. Its not working! All kind of there stuff is around but blocked back to their servers so no leaderboards and no DLC but the games are out there.
  3. I think that the OP wants to completely remove the games from his HDD not just LB

    Raspberry Pi 2

I run ESPXE and Project64 on a Dell Inspiron 1525 (2007 Vista laptop upgraded to W10) with a Core 2 Duo T8300 with the PS1 games on my server and it handles them. I'm confident that a modern Pentium would definitely handle it but I wouldn't get less than an i5 personally.
  5. Ok This is a custom build so unless it is Windows Bloatware I don't have any OEM stuff on here. Thanks for linking it I'll check it out later.
  6. I do have one but it isn't connected I disabled the AHK settings and haven't had any crashes since then. I have keyboards handy for all of my HTPC's so its not a big deal for me but I know many other users are trying to go full controller. Do you have a link to that video?

    Raspberry Pi 2

Intel NUC with i5 or an i3 would handle both of those possibly even the Pentium version would.
  8. I actually opened a mahjong game tonight and didn't have a clue on how to play I understood that the corresponding letter on keyboard played the tile with that letter but I simply didn't understand what is going on with the game.
  9. My moms family is part German her maiden name is Gaetjens her grandfather came over as a boy in the early 1900s (Not that we speak german or anything we are pretty much Americanized as can be).
  10. CriticalCid I managed to grab the 170 from PD but I'm like 66% done getting CHD files for 161. I see the 170 version is also available to grab there but I am unsure if it would be easier to delete what I have and start getting the new set and like you said this wouldn't really be feasible to do every time there is an update. Is updating the CHD's basically the same as the ROMs in ClrMAMEPro.
  11. I wouldn't say Brad is lying he would likely be mistaken. I get videos from EmuMovies all the time using LaunchBox. I have a life time paid account.
  12. Yeah if you have a paid account with EmuMovies then LaunchBox will download videos from them but if you only have a free account then you are SOOL. I believe that when you use the import it finds games that may not be exactly matched and matches them but I am not sure. I know that some games that don't get metadata from the GDB will have video or snaps added even though there will be no cover or it won't be linked to the data base.
  13. Yeah I'm more verbal than anything and especially when it comes to writing and I get to plan it out and look it over before I have to convey it.
  14. How do I set up Multi-disc games in LaunchBox? For multi-disc games in LaunchBox you will need to use the built in additional apps feature. Right click the game you want to set the additional app for and once inside the edit form go to the additional app tab. Click Add additional app Name the additional app whatever you want to call it ie Disc 2 or Final Fantasy VII disc 2 whatever is easiest for you. From there add the games path and make sure the use emulator check box is checked. Do this for each additional disc that is for your game. Exit the additional apps form then exit the edit form now right click on the game and you will see the additional disc added to the games context menu. Feel free to use this or any variation of it you may like.
  15. Yeah I personally am a history buff and like historical things and I think that the law and the way they handle old and outdated software is beyond draconian but that is my personal opinion Brad as an agent of Unbroken Software is just trying to keep them out of any legal BS so no links its not that big a deal its just the way of things work to best protect the site. That's why we need a PM system added to the site
  16. Glad you got it running without having to start over. Operator errors will cripple your computer every time I know from experience.
  17. If they use the same file extension you could go into the folder in explorer and type the extension in search and all the files will show up without the folders or if they don't have the same extension you can type *.* in the search bar and it wlill return all files and folders in the directory scroll past the folders and then highlight all the files you need for all the games and then drag them over to LaunchBox. I don't know anything about ScummVM so if they don't work like regular ROM files and there is no emulator then this actually wouldn't be a valid method. If they do though it would definitely work to access the files you need from sub directories at the same time. Edit: After reading Brads post I see this will not work.
  18. I'm glad you did this way you could teach me how to move stuff around without having to re-import everything again. Also maybe there could be and FAQ added to keep these questions from being asked over and over again.
  19. What is the actual path on the C: drive I'm guessing that because it has a few ..\..\ sections it is C:\Users\User name\Z-ROMs\ or something like that
  20. Do it as the Friday feature while learning how to set up systems is great learning how to use LaunchBox for important features would be just as important to users. Or make a regular video with a system on Friday and add it as a smalll section at the end.
  21. Hey Brad since changing paths and importing multi file games is something that constantly comes up maybe make a post that is sticky and maybe a new tricks and tweaks topic that new users can easily read the solutions to these issues because while they are easy to implement they aren't intuitive. I know that when I started using LB last year I had my own posts on both issues. If possible maybe both of these topics could be explained and demonstrated in an upcoming video.
  22. I tried to do the same the other day with Game Oldies but since I can't get to open with the game going I figured it wasn't worth it. Would be great though if you could get the games to open already started and in full screen.
  23. Yeah it is using a relative path LaunchBox does this so it will be portable and allow you to do what you are looking for if you missed it while you were typing your last post check post 3 that should explain it better.
