  1. Jason everything looks great. Thanks for working so hard to make LaunchBox what it is (and will be). Also great video showcasing BigBox.
  2. I like the fact that it doesn't have a power pack but really I can get a WD 4TB external for $129.00 at Best Buy and connect it to my X-Box One and they should make so I can just save data to my Windows Home Server or any network storage for that matter. Or how about throw a 4TB drive inside when you sell it to me. The funny thing is I haven't touch my XBO in like two months I've been PC gaming and emulating almost exclusively
  3. That would be pretty awesome I didn't realize that you were even envisioning something like that.
  4. I just discovered a pretty cool app called Ubooquity it is a web server that requires Java (Which isn't ideal but what are you going to do) I allows you to set up target folders for both Ebooks and Comics and allows you to access them from the web. So far in the book section I have noticed that every format except PDF requires you to download the book. PDF offers you the option to read or download. This also holds true for the comics so far every one I've tested had a read option. I have been looking forward to this for some time now and finally someone has created it. I have yet to experiment with it off LAN but it does set up an outside address you just have to forward the ports first. I know others on the forum had discussed comics and books before so I figured I'd let people know in case they were interested. Now if someone developing it would add mobi and epub support to some kind of web reader it would truly be awesome (I've become spoiled and don't want to stream everything). Now all we need is a emulator web server and I could access all of my media over the web on the go.
  5. Works fine on my multi-monitor setup running Windows 10

    Atari 5200 Help

I've been messing around with getting Atari 7800 and 5200 up and running over the last few days. I got the 7800 running without issues using ProSystem emulator and it works in and out of LauchBox. It took me a while to get a 5200 emu running but finally I settled on Atari800Win but for some reason it loads the last cart you had attached instead of the one from LauchBox. Anyone have any experience with this emulator and know what commands I would have to feed it to Launch the correct cart
  7. Ok I've been trying to get this to work with the torrent version I grabbed at TPB which is the Taito Type X Frontend. It is written in either Portuguese or Spanish I'm not certain which one since using translation tool has listed words for both. I have it pointed at my directory but can't get any games to launch for some reason. I am also playing with Taito Type X Loader which I got from SourceForge there is a PDF online with some instructions but they are pretty shoddy http://download2.polytechnic.edu.na/pub4/sourceforge/t/ta/taitotypexloader/TypeXLoader.pdf if any one understands this I could use a little help it discusses creating a batch but never talks about what to put in the batch file so I am a little lost.
  8. I was reading about this just the other day I thought it looked very interesting probably be expensive at first though.
  9. I use TurboEngine as long as you have the BIOS for the CD stuff you can load the disks without mounting them.
  10. Of course they want you to buy apps at their store but that is definitely not necessary at all. I've been using Windows 10 since the first day they released the preview and at first I was disappointed at how similar to Windows 8.1 that it was (not because I didn't like 8.1 I actually loved the Windows 8 experience I know others don't but I did) as I gradually kept using the OS it finally got to a point were it was like Franks Red Hot I put that $#!+ on everything. I don't have any issues pinning anything to start. If you want to pick a default app you right click then pick choose another app even if the one you wanted was already shown then there is a check box to use what ever app that you choose all the time.
  11. I'm currently getting the Taito Type X from TPB I was curious as to whether or not anyone here has tried it since I don't think that I have ever heard anyone mention it. I will try to get it running and share the results.
  12. After adding cover art to 300 Japanese NEC PC-Engine games that I will probably never play I realized that I may be seriously addicted to LaunchBox. I think maybe that a disclaimer that warns that this software may be habit forming any compulsive and repetitive actions that are a result of its use are in no way the responsibility of the developer. Please use LaunchBox responsibly. The warning should be included with the original download. Also maybe a warning that gamers may spend more time playing with Launchbox settings than playing their actual games.
  13. Haelstrom I think that joke went over your head just a little. LaunchBox works great on Windows 10 if not I would have never been able to use it since I've been running 10 on all of my computers since before I discovered LaunchBox.
  14. Mine seems to be running good. I thought I was having issues with BigBox transitions still but I realized that I was launching BigBox on startup and when I was going through it right away the system was sluggish due to running other startup programs after that it is working very well. I'm going to restart LaunchBox now and install the new beta.
  15. I'm a digital hoarder of sorts I have huge collections of eBooks, Comics, Movies, Music, TV Shows, Audio Books, Software Installers Emulators/ROMs, Images and Adult Entertainment (porn is so crass). All the data is pooled and mirrored using an awesome program called StableBit DrivePool (it isn't free but it is a life saver when dealing with multiple disks). I would say that the data was cheap but all those disks and drive enclosures can start getting expensive after awhile.
  16. Whew that was a rant you feel better now. I'm aware it is legal and trust me I definitely am not scared. Looks like its time for another 4TB drive although I am not sure how I will connect it I have no SATA ports left all 3 of my 4 bay enclosures are full my two disk dock is full and I am unwilling to go with a single external anymore (the 4 bay enclosures have spoiled me with one plug and one usb port for 4 drives) may be time for a PCIe SATA card.
  17. It will be nice to legally use P2P for once. Joking aside though it is a little sneaky that this hasn't been mentioned before and yeah it could be bad for users with caps (I don't even know if FIOS has one) It kind of reminds me of how Comcast turned there new routers into WiFi hotspots on the semi-down low and people were up in arms over it. When I had Comcast I had mine enabled until I realized that I got no signal from it outside of my house and then it didn't serve any purpose to myself or any other Xfinity users so I disabled it.
  18. I just added my TurboEngine emulator to LaunchBox today and after awhile of me trying to get the settings correct I checked here on the forum for the command line to open in full screen but once I applied it to the emulator it started launching the games strangely it changes the monitors resolution to the one set for full screen but it only shows a little more than half of the window the rest you can still see either LB or BB depending which one you used to launch the game. I can go out of full screen and then back into it but that isn't working I'd be better just launching it if a window and growing it on my own. If any one knows how I can fix this I'd appreciate it.
  19. I was looking around in LaunchBox to look at a Game Gear version of Shining Force when I saw that it had all kind of nonsense letter characters so I wanted to check if I had multiple games and if so which versions. It turned out I had numerous bad dumps and alternates Public Domain games and all the other stuff that comes with getting full sets after cleaning up the folder to remove all of that I was wondering if there is a way I can get LaunchBox to rescan the platform and remove all of the games that I removed from the folder.
  20. Jason I've tested the new version on desktops in my bedroom and kitchen. I also tested on both a tablet and on my new Windows HDMI stick and the performance of the animation in BigBox is very good in my room and in my kitchen. It isn't bad on the tablet or the stick which both have Haswell Atoms in them, but I will probably opt out of using transitions on the lower speced machines anyway. Things look great as every thing is progressing BigBox is on par with Plex Home Theater for delivering a stunning visual platform to access your media from (and that is no small compliment coming from a raging Plex addict like myself)
  21. I have slight lag on my main LaunchBox computer i7 4770, EVE GeForce 750 TI running Windows 10 but not that bad. I haven't tested on my kitchen (i5 3330 integrated graphics) or my living room (Pentium G360 integrated graphics) PC's yet I've been busy playing Shining Force like a fiend! The transitions do look really nice though.
  22. Oh you have to install a 32 bit system even though its a 64 bit chip that kind of sucks but since it would sort of be like a legacy platform and still have an OS that is modern it wouldn't be to much of a problem especially since I am not doing much with the system anyway
  23. what kind of hardware do you think I would need the laptop I had in mind has a core 2 duo t8300 with 4GB of RAM but would only be using onboard graphics. I didn't really play computer games in that era I was busy running the streets and being a crim (although a petty one for sure) at the time but I imagine 2007 hardware could handle 95 98 games if not the XP ones also
  24. Is there anyway to launch Big Box from full screen just out of curiosity
  25. Ok was thinking Vista so I could use it with LaunchBox but I consider the XP route.
