  1. I think I am safe in saying that won't be happening. Jason has expressed a pretty strong dislike for the whole Kickstarter thing and would only use it for the Linux port of LB to hire a dev full time to develop it.
  2. Very cool, I posted a link to this over in the AHK sticky thread.
  3. Check your bios files against the ones that are actually required scph5500.bin PS1 JP BIOS - Required for JP 8dd7d5296a650fac7319bce665a6a53c scph5501.bin PS1 US BIOS - Required for US 490f666e1afb15b7362b406ed1cea246 scph5502.bin PS1 EU BIOS - Required for EU 32736f17079d0b2b7024407c39bd3050 You can use this free program to check them: http://winmd5.com/ Simply drag each bios file into the window of the program and it will tell you its MD5 checksum.
  4. You are most likely either missing bios or you have incorrect bios, or your disk images are bad. Beetle (Mednafen) is pickier about the quality of the disk images and you have to load the cue file.
  5. What can't you get to work exactly ? Loading games ? Or the PGXP stuff ?
  6. SimCity has been completed. Illusion of Gaia has the patch done but still needs all the music converted for it. It also looks like Secret of Mana 2 / Seiken Densetsu 3, Donkey Kong Country 3 and Demons Crest patches have been completed but the music is being finished up.
  7. I didn't say any sites, but you should look for No-Intro sets for cart based consoles, CD based games you should look for Redump or Dark Water releases, those are the most reliable.
  8. They should be just fine, if you find one not working it will most likely be the rom file. I have yet to find a TG / PCE game that doesn't work.
  9. Yeah I use the supergrafx core just because it supports the small select few supergrafx games (5 or 6 games), the pce fast core works just fine for everything else just fine.
  10. You can call the platform anything you want as long as it matches the associated platforms window. Those 2 have to match up or else it won't work, they can be called anything you want as long as they are the same.
  11. There is no CD version of Splatterhouse. Triple check your platform name that your games are under and the command line parameter, make sure you have the core in your \retroarch\cores folder that you are telling Launchbox to use in the command line. I guarantee you that if you have it working outside of LB it will work in LB when setup correctly.
  12. Then you have something wrong in your Launchbox setup. Here is a short video guide I did on setting up Retroarch with Launchbox, I use the NES as an example but all the stuff I go over applies to all playforms and I cover the most important things to watch out for like matching your platform names and the correct command line parameters.
  13. If the game isn't actually loading to the point you can play in Retroarch then you could have bad rom files, we recommend using the roms from the No-Intro set for the best possible quality. Any other roms from random sites off the internet are of unknown quality and can be problematic with some emulators.
  14. Then you have something done incorrectly, my best guess off the top of my head is you have the platform named differently than you have in the associated platforms window. Do your games work in Retroarch outside of Launchbox ?
  15. You only need bios for the CD games, non CD games don't require bios. You can check out the tutorial video that goes over all the details.
  16. NEC is the company and they made the TurboGrafx 16 and PC Engine (plus a couple of others), NEC was the company though like Nintendo or Sega. The TurboGrafx 16 and PC Engine are the same console just different regions like the NES and Famicom or the Genesis and Megadrive. If you have everything setup right things will work. You don't give any details on what the problem is, nor do you tell us what emulator you are using.
  17. That's the same platform, NEC was the company that made it.
  18. You can just rescrape the meta data without re-importing your games and you can check what you want to check for and not update.
  19. I abstained from the poll but you know my thoughts from the post above But basically I like the idea but certainly not at the expense of the Windows version as it sits right now. There are still far too many things on the Small Things List and bitbucket requests before that could happen. If you do a Kickstarter and get enough money to hire a dev for it then by all means go for it because a free poll where people can say what they want is one thing but when it comes to plopping down the cash for it is a whole other thing.
  20. Yeah, and let's wait before we get all bent out of shape over just talking about a Linux version.
  21. https://www.surveymonkey.com/r/WPVG975 Don't worry, there will be a new poll soon on what upcoming features to work on for the immediate future of Launchbox. As for Linux, please feel free to voice and concerns in the appropriate thread and the survey linked and right now it's more to judge actual interest in it, nothing more.
  22. Yeah the Mario one is too off putting. It's too bad the Metroid and Zelda ones aren't publicly available cause they do look good.
