Please forgive me if I give you any incorrect information here because I don't use RocketLauncher but I believe you need to add your roms to RocketLauncher, hopefully someone can correct me on that one if it is wrong. You will also need to change the emulator for all your games in a platform to use RocketLauncher using the bulk edit tool. Select all the games in a given platform using Control + A and then with all the games selected press Control + E to bring up the bulk edit tool. Then from there select Emulator from the drop down menu for what you want to change and then in the 2nd dropdown menu select RocketLauncher. This will change all your games to use RocketLauncher. The check box to set an emulator as default is only for the rom import process.

The generated playlists were for the more popular arcade systems and manufacturers. To say it's broken is a massive over statement, the playlist feature works perfectly fine but in the case of the Arcade platform there are so many games that generally would be very difficult to filter into a commonly agreed upon set of playlists that it wouldn't be worth the time and energy. The playlists that do get generated (if you allow it to) covers the more popular stuff leaving the user plenty of room to create their own custom playlists if they wanted to do so.

Not that i'm aware of.

I don't know if anything has changed since I last looked at Daphne but it didn't have native controller support when I did. Retropie probably had some sort of built scripting to map controller buttons to the commands that Daphne requires.
-
Daphne doesn't have any built in native controller support, you need to use something like Xpadder or Controller Companion to map your controller to the keyboard buttons that Daphne uses. I suggest Controller Companion for ease of use, it's only a couple of bucks on Steam.

Don't you hate having your Steam account analized ? Have you updated to the latest beta ? There was a problem where Steam invalidated the API being used so @Jason Carr had to get a new one and is in the latest beta.

Yeah, python is just easy for the average person /sarcasm You complain about the emulation community is bad and yet you come here bragging about how you do something while shitting on what someone else has provided but you don't want to share. It's fine you don't want to share but don't come here to rub it in peoples faces saying "nahnah look what i got and you cant have it", you come off just as bad as the people who seem to be angry about.

Without any details on your system at all more ram will help and so will a dedicated 3D graphics card, also caching all your images in will help performance. The theme being used and certain effects will impact speed as well. You should also take a look at this thread here to help you with performance.

@Birmm welcome to the Launchbox forums. They actually look fine on a 1440p monitor (barring the one issue with one of Zoms presets having weird lines), I have found that if there are problems with any shaders and resolution it was dependent upon the native resolution of the system being emulated. It's the lower resolution stuff like handhelds (GameGear and GBA) that have the bigger issues as well as anything using internal resolution scaling like N64.

This is something that gets asked for often and @Jason Carr has said that this is something that is actually fairly complex to do. Right now the only way you are getting this functionality is to use RocketLauncher but Jason is looking at the possibility of better integrating RL into LB, http://www.rlauncher.com/forum/showthread.php?5303-LaunchBox-Rocket-Launcher-Further-Integration

FF7 Steam - Fixing the Startup Experience
Lordmonkus replied to JerseyXS97's topic in Troubleshooting
Glad it meets your needs, I don't use it on a regular basis but I do use it for certain problematic emulators and games. -
Nothing happens when loading a NeoGeo game on Launchbox.

Yeah I asked about bios but it completely slipped my mind to think of maybe he was copying his roms during the import. -

Now it makes sense, you were copying your roms over to the LB rom folder and there was no bios being copied over so FBA was not seeing your bios. Edit: If you want to have your rom files in the LB\roms folder you would need to copy over the neogeo.zip bios into that folder manually. -
You might be right. I was having a dig through the Mame Software Lists CHD torrent last night just to see what was actually in it and it has the full Saturn, PS and PCE CD collections in it (along with lots of other stuff) and each game is smaller than the cue + bin counterpart. I don't think emulators are just going to drop support for cue + bin any time soon but if I were starting out fresh and getting stuff I think I might be inclined to grab the torrent file and grab the individual games they from it.

FF7 Steam - Fixing the Startup Experience
Lordmonkus replied to JerseyXS97's topic in Troubleshooting
I know you mentioned not wanting to have extra 3rd party software but Controller Companion (available on Steam for a couple of bucks) would do this really easily. You can setup a profile that starts up with a specifc game (or program) and then defaults back to a base config when the game or program is closed out.
